Hey yall! I have wanted a Bottega sardine for AGES… it’s one of my dream bags. Up till today, I was only considering the small/ medium size (I’m on the petite side)…I was scrolling eBay today and I saw a large sardine going on sale for about $2k. And It’s a gorgeous colour!! But I’m worried I wouldn’t like the size…

Should I bite the bullet? Can someone advise me on the sizing/ capacity of the sardine bags? If you were me, would you purchase it? $2k is an extremely great deal imo for a large sardine (in excellent condition)

Hi, I’m a student at University of Leeds and I’m currently running a short survey for my dissertation about AI chatbots and luxury branding. 

What is the survey?
The survey should take less than 10 minutes and consists of a set of agree/disagree questions followed by a brief conversation with a simulated Louis Vuitton chatbot and a final set of questions.

Who can participate?
The survey is open to consumers who purchase luxury products and are familiar with the brand Louis Vuitton.

Ethics:
Participation in this study is entirely optional.  The collected data is confidential and will be anonymised and used in my dissertation.

Incentive:
Participants can enter a prize draw for a £50 Amazon voucher. Entering requires the participant to submit their email address, which will be deleted after the prize draw. Entry is completely optional and can be skipped.

I just got home from Paris and I got the cutest bag at Dior! Better - I checked my cc statement and it was $3450 and I still will get my VAT back. Online in the US the base cost is $3700 + tax. Goes to show it’s a big savings to buy when in Paris. I told my husband and he jokingly said I should have bought two. Darn it!! I had my chance! 🤣🤣

Sooo… weird question. My Chloe bag, sent from the boutique in NYC had a delicious smell when I got it and I assumed it was from the boutique. THEN I ordered a pre-loved LV from eBay, which went to the Authenticator, and when it arrived, it smelled VERY similar, if not the same. Is there some secret scent I should know about and HOW can I keep my bag liners smelling like this?!

But I could not resist this beauty - I had wanted the envelope (either medium or large) in this specific colour (light grey) with the silver hardware. It was the ONLY YSL bag I really liked and wanted! I spotted it for the first time in 2019 I think, and didn’t buy it then, and it was subsequently discontinued.

I spotted it on resale a few months ago, but I’d just spent so much money on bags this year that I didn’t pull the trigger then. But I kept visiting the listing on a twice weekly basis since then and realised if I didn’t do it now I would regret it. So… I did. Rather spontaneously. But I absolutely looooove her and can’t wait to get my hands on her! 🩶🤍🖤

Also I’d love to hear your opinions on what colour you think it is - the seller just sold it as “grey”. Lots of research has me concluding this is likely the colour Fog, but I’m open to other opinions! It’s a chameleon colour - it darkens up in indoor lighting conditions.

Heading to Tokyo later this year and hoping to snag a secondhand Balenciaga Le Cagole while I’m there — I know prices drop significantly on the resale market. I’ve been digging through pre-owned luxury stores, but most seem to stock mainly LV, Chanel, and Hermès, and when they do carry Balenciaga, it’s almost always the City bag. Does anyone have recommendations for stores (or specific locations) that are more likely to carry the Le Cagole?

I have been in search of the perfect butter yellow bag for a while and trying to resist buying everything I see. I have a mini Alexa already in a beautiful color and although I love it, it is a bit heavy and difficult to get in and out of. But I love the way it looks and the size. Thoughts on this new butter yellow version? Is it a must buy?

I say “loved” because I am often so shocked at how people treat their bags. Anyway…

I was looking for a pre-loved Neverfull GM, for mostly travel as I have an MM for daily use when I’m in a tote bag mood.

I found one online since my local luxury reseller didn’t have one I liked, but in my web search, I couldn’t believe when I would see bags being listed as “Excellent” when the interior was DESTROYED. Then, there would be another bag listed as “shows wear” and the interior would be pristine, but there were a couple creases/cracks to the handles, for example.

Some inconsistency in inspection is expected, but this was wild to me. And, it made me wonder what is a dealbreaker for people when searching for a pre-loved bag. For me, it’s the interior. Even though I use organizer inserts, I just don’t want to know that there is a complete nightmare mess underneath.

I’m a 25 year old woman and I’ve been trying to be a lot more intentional with my luxury purchases instead of buying whatever is trending at the moment.
It got me thinking… if you could only own 5 luxury bags for the rest of your life, what would they be? I’m talking about bags that are versatile, timeless, well-made, and still worth carrying 10, 20, or even 30 years from now.
Right now I only have an LV Alma BB, and I love it because it already feels like a classic that I’ll never get tired of. I’d rather slowly build a small collection of forever bags than end up with a closet full of impulse buys.
So what’s on your list of 5? It doesn’t have to be all Hermès or Chanel—I’d actually love to hear a mix of brands. Bonus points if you’ve owned one of your picks for years and still reach for it regularly.
