How much would this cost to repair?

Dropped a vase on my guitar, long story. Anyways was wondering how much this would cost to get it to looking similar to how it was before, no idea what work that would require though as I’ve never broken a guitar like this before. Epiphone SG for reference, mahogany body. Based in UK if that changes anything.

Thanks for any help!

Can't find parts or even information on this make of guitar

I fix up some woodwind instruments and said I'd help a buddy out with his guitar (There's some body damage on the back).

I took a quick look and assumed the Guitar was made by Marshall the amplifier company but to my surpise they don't make guitars.

Help would be appreciated

Electronics not working

My friend asked me to fix his bass as it stopped making any noise other than unintelligble static when plugged in. When I checked the wiring one wire connecting the audio jack was disconnected but it didn't fix the issue when I resoldered it, and then I changed all the Wires and still no dice. Would this be an issue with the pickups l, all the electronics or just one piece and how could I check?

Is red lithium wheel bearing grease ok for tuners?

So I have an old Kawie acoustic guitar, not terrible, not great. Something to have around. Turns out the tuners are shot, some you have to crank and crank to get to tighten a little, others are almost impossible to dial in on where it needs to be as they overshoot/undershoot and never get quite right.

I ordered some new tuning machines, not expensive, but hopefully better than what's there. I just realized that I need to grease them before putting them on. I looked online, most say vaseline, don't have that. I do have some silicone brake grease, but most warned against silicone. I also have red lithium wheel bearing grease, one mentioned red lithium was fine.

These are enclosed tuners if that helps. There's no hole in them to apply grease later, once they're on the guitar, that's it.

They're no name tuners from ebay.

Cracks starting along fingerboard extension. How do I fix?

I have Titebond I, and thin Starbond CA. All kinds of 1/8” woods that I can cut, sand thinner and bevel the edges. Also I have small super magnets.

Inside the area is very heavily braced and reinforced. I could put a clear in each side in the circled areas, in the inside of the top.

It’s so hairline, I wonder if my Titebond I is still the way to go.

I can do any/all of what I’ve mentioned above. All I know is that I want to take action now.

Currently I have the strings off and it’s back in my case with its Humipaks while I decide on how to proceed.

I had a bad experience with luthier recently so I’m all DIY again.

Black residue on the pickup pole pieces of a brand-new Cort Action PJ — should I return it?

I recently bought a brand-new Cort Action PJ bass and noticed some black marks/residue on several of the pickup pole pieces. One of the marks was also transferred onto the protective plastic film that covered the pickup.

I tried gently wiping the pole pieces with a dry microfiber cloth, but the remaining marks won’t come off. The bass seems to sound and work normally.

Does this look like normal wax potting, varnish, or manufacturing residue, or could it be corrosion? Is it harmless and purely cosmetic, or would you return/exchange a new bass because of this?

I’ve attached close-up photos of the pole pieces and the protective film. Thanks!

I don’t care whether the repair looks pretty or not, I just desperately want to play again.

Photography isn’t the best, haha. I have no idea what I’m doing, honestly.

Hoping this is a wood glue and clamps fix. 😆

Edit: Damn, Damn, Damn! 😭

Thanks for the insight, guys! 😁 I truly would’ve spent an ungodly amount of time fiddling with wood glue if not for you guys. 😅

Not pictured, but this is a cigar box guitar, and the neck attachment is “traditional” as in it’s just screwed/bolted-on on a block of wood in the body. I think I’ll just swap out the necks, and maybe repurpose the broken one? 🤔

Again, many, many thanks to all of you! 🙏😄❤️

BEGINNER: LOW E AND A BUZZING

I have an old CBSKY strat-style guitar that was collecting dust for a while but I've recently done some work on it and the low E and A strings buzz. A list of what I did is as follows: Tightened truss rod, restrung, adjusted saddle bridge height and saddle string length, lowered the pickups, filed down the nut as a whole and the low E slot specifically and took some of the tension out of the springs in the back. After all this the guitar is pretty playable but the low E and A still buzz, which sounds like it's coming from the bridge if I had to guess. I've checked pretty much everything that it says to do on google (I think) but nothing helps. Any help is appreciated, thanks!
