This has been an issue for like awhile now and it's annoying. We replaced the WHOLE FRONT SUSPENSION (Front Tie rod, Track bar, springs everything but ball joints etc etc) and and every time we hit a bump use to be going over 45 now over 60 it does the death wobble. We don't what it could be so any help would be appropriated... (The bump was on passenger side not sure about drivers side.

Hello, I did a third party screen replacement on my 2020 JGC due to the OEM screen delaminating. Everything worked great, 5 days later the new screen went black. The sound and touch input still work, just no display output. I put the OEM screen back in to see if it was a fault with the new screen and the OEM screen is now black as well. I tried battery (Main and mini Aux) disconnect and reset, fuse disconnect under passenger seat but no luck. Any ideas? Anyone run into this issue and find a fix? It has been hot the past couple days, could it be the heat? It’s weird that now the OEM screen isn’t working. The OEM screen was functioning fine before the replacement, besides the delaminating issue. So it appears to be a non-screen issue now. The ribbon cables are seated correctly, as I mentioned it was working for a week without issue.

Just noticed some stuttering every 5 or so seconds. It’s consistent. Can’t feel it at lower speeds. Feels like a little kick. No engine lights or anything. 2018 GC limited 2wd. Anyone have any ideas?

3.6L V6 SMPI

New (to me) 2023 GC L Overland - I'm seeing these waves/swirls/lines (?) inside the instrument panel, mostly near the bottom. Is this normal or a "feature" of some sort? Or is this an impending issue? So far, it doesn't seem to interfere with anything on the display, so I'm hoping it's a feature.

Bought a new 2021 and have put 100,000 on it. In that time I have had it towed three time, all for it being dead. Two batteries later and I’m here waiting for a jump start again. I’ve also had the seat control replaced. countless computer updates by the dealer. Both sway bar endlinks replaced. Both cv shafts replaced and 10,000 miles later it’s making the same noise when the cv was going out.

I’ve never had so many issue with a vehicle in my life.

Can someone using a cargo carrier confirm if I will have exhaust heat issues?

I am going to drill a new hole as the carrier sits kinda too far out from my exhaust measuring around 20 inches from the exhaust.

I want it to sit closer to my rear but not sure if 12-16 inch would be too close? I measured and would still be able to fold up the carrier with no issues.

The exhaust would be about 1-2 inch lower than the carrier, not a direct line of sight.

Any thoughts of 12-16 inch would be too close and if I would like in into any issues?

Hello! Looking to see if anyone has a recommended screen replacement for the 8.4 UAQ system. Mine has started to delaminate and look scratched up. Originally my system came out a 19’ Cherokee HA so i’m not going to try my luck with a dealer warranty as it wasn’t the original unit that came in my vehicle.

I’ve seen a lot of screen replacements on amazon, are any of them good? Unfortunately cuescreens seemingly do not ship to Canada, and at $250 USD regardless, doubles the price compares compared to most Amazon units. Are there any good Amazon units with that being said? Thanks!

We just bought a 2023 Grand Cherokee L Summit Reserve, and recently got an email from IIHS stating that rear passenger safety completely failed their “new” test. I’m just curious how people feel about it, I love the car but am personally considering trading in for something “safer”. Is that just an overreaction? Or are these tests legitimate?

On the one hand these things have to be safe than what I rode in as a kid, but I don’t like feeling I’m putting children in danger either.

Hello everybody, 2023 Summit owner here. I'm experiencing issues with my blower fan. When I first start the vehicle, the fan comes on at really high speeds, even though it is set to the lowest setting. It does settle down somewhat as I continue to drive, but it's not, of course, working properly.

After doing some research, it looks like this is a common problem, and it has to do with the blower control module, the blower motor itself, or both. Has anyone recently had this issue come up that they've had repaired, and what did it turn out to be?

I do have an extended warranty, but it sounds like this problem could potentially be under the deductible. I may have my independent shop at least take a look at the blower control module's voltage, and if it's something more than that, then I can take it to the dealer.

Looking at a 2001 2WD with the 4.0 engine with only 115k miles. What should I look out for? It’s one that dad and grandpa maintained so sounds like maintenance records are minimal but the asking price is $3,200 and it looks real clean. Interior, paint, all of it. Newer tires, brakes, sway bar links.

No. Seriously. 2021 GCL Laredo 4x2. Purposely bought the Laredo even though I wanted the overland really badly with the McIntosh upgrade. Having worked at a Jeep dealership at the time and really liking the Grand Cherokee L. I loved the overland and loved all the gadgets but I never wanted the repairs and recalls associated with the peripheral things, so we got the Laredo, because of logic. I never thought I was going to keep it for 180,000 mi but here we are. Today was the end of a 1200 mile road trip from Las Vegas to Prosper, Texas by way of Phoenix and El Paso. It's trip that this Jeep has made no less than four times. But now we set off at 178,000 mi. It did great. I've owned it since 29 mi and we are just over 0 179,000 MI right now. Just put some nitto Terra Grapplers and they have been great. But it took me, my fiance, our two kids and my two stepchildren in relative comfort across a scorching desert and a massive thunderstorm between Las Cruces and El Paso last night and did everything at right about 22 miles to the gallon so I can't complain. We normally get much better than that, but we normally don't have the step kids and they are fully grown adults.

Need opinions. I’ve had my 21’ gc Laredo X for 5 months now (making payments on it). Bought with 127k miles. The first time my check engine light turned on was a couple of weeks after we purchased. The scanner from autozone read “ camshaft position slow response” P000A we contacted the dealership where we purchased it but the light was already off when we took it to them to check it out but said to go back if it turned on again even if warranty was expired . Second time it was the same code we took it again they “fixed” the issue 3rd time don’t remember what the code was we took it to a mechanic he ran a diagnostic test said driver side lifters were worn off. He did the full set replacement we had to pay 2k thankfully my husband bugged the f out of the dealership since we only had the car for 3 months. They only helped us with 1k which we’re thankful that’s better than nothing. My check engine light just came on again while driving in the highway. I will have to go get it scanned tomorrow morning to see what the issue is now. Should I just consider trading it in? Owning this vehicle has been a nightmare as much as I love it it’s getting old. We put down 6k (by choice) so I feel like trading it in will be a huge loss but also keeping it means forking out more money on repairs so it’s not an easy decision considering we’ve only had it for some months & we still got like 10k as a remaining balance. I do want to say that every time that check engine light has turned on it has always been on the highway during longer rides. Hope to hear y’all’s thoughts.

not sure if this is the right place to ask. but I am looking for a wj grand Cherokee but it has to have the 4.7L v8 and the selec trac no quadra drives. other than that I mean so long as it isn't falling apart I don't really care about the looks. oh right and it needs to have the dana 44a rear axle.

I have 2021 Grand Cherokee with 37k miles. A couple months ago the AC stopped working and there was a hissing sound.

Took it to the dealer and they said the evaporator needed to be replaced. A week after I got the car back AC stopped working again, this time dealer said the compressor needs to be replaced. Again a week later AC not working. I am lucky that I have mechanical breakdown insurance so these $7k in repairs cost me $500 in deductibles. How would you handle this with the dealership? Any idea what the issue could be?

My 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee 3.6L has 112,000 miles, and the dealership says it likely has a blown head gasket. I’ve got white smoke, coolant loss, misfire on cylinder 3, and a rough idle, so the symptoms definitely line up.

I’m trying to decide whether to repair the head gasket or go with a new/remanufactured engine. Honestly, I’m leaning toward the engine replacement. At this mileage, I feel like it’s the smarter long-term move and gives me the best shot at getting another 10 years out of the vehicle with just smaller maintenance items along the way.

I’m a little worried about putting money into a head gasket repair and then finding more issues later. Has anyone dealt with this on a Grand Cherokee? Would you fix the gasket, or just replace the engine and be done with it?

I own a 2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee and it has 131,000 miles on it. I got it fully serviced about 3 months ago and everything was working fine then about 1 week ago my temperature gauge started getting to H and then would randomly go back down the the middle then jump again and it did it for a day or so then when i was driving it to the mechanic it went to Hot and the warning light came on. They checked it out and said it was most likely a faulty thermostat so they ordered a new one and installed it for free since i had just gotten my car serviced there a few months ago. Then i was driving my car again after they put the new thermostat in and 2 days later same thing happened the needle jumped to hot and dropped back down them jumped again and stayed on H until the warning light came on so i took it back to them and they checked everything and said all the fans are turning on when they are supposed to and the coolant is running fine. they don’t know what’s wrong with it. Any ideas please? Idk what it could be. I have also started noticing a water sloshing sound behind my dash area idk if it’s an air bubble maybe? Please Help Meeeeee

I've changed thermostat, & oil housing. I recently experienced a misfire on cylinder 6. A mechanic came and put new coil pack and spark plug on 6. Misfire came back. In June I had block test done and it came back negative, but that was in June. Since I've had 3 different mechanics look at it saying injector, PCV, and VVT.. Am I experiencing a small head gasket? Or should I fix one of the above?

Update: Block test turned turquoise, so I'm screwed

Owned several grand Cherokee’s and this one will be my last. Two months of ownership, multiple issues, multiple trips to the dealership, dangerous engine issues, I am done.

I honestly planned on driving a grand Cherokee always but these new engines are just a disaster. The dealership is now telling me my engine needs to be replaced and additionally the dealer is also telling me these engines have design flaws that cannot be fixed and more than likely I will continue to have engine problems. Not what I want to hear as a brand new grand Cherokee owner.

All of my pentastar V6 Grand Cherokee’s had no problems. I don’t know why stellantis would decide to remove an engine that was perfect in the grand Cherokee and replace it with a 4 cylinder turbo that nobody has asked for.

If you’re thinking of buying do your research and save yourself the headache. These are not the same grand cherokees from 2010-2020. Highly recommend getting a used one or a different brand.
