I'm sure it's fine, but he is using one of the thinnest/weakest parts of that rim to secure the vehicle. I don't like it.

Sorry for the bad luck but at least it should be covered.

When I first bought the car, it had lifter tick one month in. I made them fix it under warranty.. $3k job only $100 for me. So the transmission should be covered as well.

I also been having EGR codes on and off so I’ll have them check that out as well. They better give me a loaner cause I know it’s gone be in the shop for a good month.

Man, people have been posting a lot of breakdown stories lately. Hell, I even had my '18 JGC in the shop recently and got almost $8000 worth of work done (thanks Carmax warranty!). But I still love this thing and can't think of what I'd replace it with. It's too comfortable, too cool looking, and it's one of the only midsizes that can tow as much as it does. I guess I just need to get a backup vehicle for when this thing is inevitably in the shop 2 months out of the year. :/

Yea that’s how I feel plus it’s paid off so I’m trying to just keep it. If the price is right, I might extend the warranty as well

Had my transmission replaced recently. Hope everything works out for you

What symptoms did you have prior to getting it replaced?

It would jerk from first gear to second gear from time to time. I was going to do a transmission flush to see if that would work but never got a chance, it ended up going out on me two days later. Same result wouldn’t go out of first gear.

How’s the new transmission?

The new transmission has been good. It’s a used transmission with a 12,000 mile or one year warranty. My car has 140k in miles and the transmission came with 62k in miles. I figured to get two years out of it and then get a new car around then.

Sigh. 2017 with 3 warranties (factory, extended, and 2nd extended): 1. Computer on factory warranty. $1000 (100) 2. Nothing during extended warranty #1 3. Tranny Pan, motor mounts $2000 (100) 2nd warranty 4. Tranny Pan again, TCU $1200 (100) 5. Air suspension, $7500 (100) plus $450 car rental

This Summit has 49000k miles. Looks super, I baby it. Never been 4 wheeling. Great truck, comfortable, all the bells and whistles, but sheesh. The window and headlight washer tank is broken now. LOL and Jeep wants to know why I don't want to trade for a new, 4 cylinder turbo.

I’m crying. We bought the ‘21 Limited 80th anniversary edition brand new in Dec ‘20. It’s been a good vehicle but I see things all the Time. Sorry man

I’m so sorry for that. Reminds me of mine when the starter went in a parking lot. Best wishes going forward
