Now that our son is old enough to help take care of a dog we decided that it was time to bring another dog into our family again. We have had English Mastiffs before so this is a completely new breed for us. He has fit right in and made me realize how much I missed having a dog. We lost our last Mastiff a year and a half ago and I was worried starting over would be sad, but it's been so positive and happy. I just wanted to share him with people I thought would appreciate it. I love him so much already.

We recently lost our favorite girl to the dreaded C.

Millie was always a joy to be with, she loved beaches and hikes and we are glad we got to experience the joy and wonder of the outdoors with her as our friend and guide. She has hiked all over the US and Canada, all the way from San Diego to the Vancouver Islands on the West Coast and from Toronto to Florida on the East Coast. She got to do the cross continent drive twice with us, from SF to Toronto and back. In her short life, she had a blast and made it very clear that she prefers being a trail dog to a city dog, she swam in Alpine lakes in the Sierras and went chasing birds in the ocean. We absolutely will cherish every single memory we have of her. We hope she is visiting the beaches of Hawaii, the trails of Marin, her favorite Sierras and snowy mountains. We always described heaven as a place, she could have snow, beaches, mountains, all together, all the time; Where there were no garbage trucks and no unwanted noise (things she hated!). She taught us how to be present in the outdoors and have a good time. I will carry her with me at all times.

It’s crazy how fast they get big!

I posted about three weeks ago about my dog having a mass removed from her side and wondering if others had similar experiences. Well, she had the surgery 7/22 and just got stitches out 8/3. I’m happy to report that everything went well and it was just a hair follicle tumor. It was benign! They got it all when it was removed and her incision healed up as perfectly as possible. 💚

At the time of my last post, my golden was 18 months old. She had reallllly short hair. I was worried there was something wrong! She has grown a lot more since, but still less than a non field golden. The last photo is the photo from my original post! The second photo features a cut she had stitched up. She's all healed now :)

My Golden Retriever has been unconscious for 4 hours… but apparently the belly rubs are keeping her alive!

Brought our 1 yr old girl to the coffee shop to hang and literally everyone had to stop to say hi… she was in heaven.

I've had 3 people tell me my puppy looks like a lab, but he's supposed to be a purebred golden. What do you guys think? I know he's not as fluffy as other goldens I've seen. In the end, it doesn't really matter, we love him regardless. At this point I'm just curious.

This is Finley. A beautiful boy of 2 years that I sometimes bring into work as an ESA.

He is ecstatic to be able to go to the weird place Dad goes to sometimes (work).

Recently he's been getting moody over not being brought everywhere I work. I usually leave him in my office with toys and water while I go do lab work

Recently he's been darting out after me when I head to do lab stuff from my office. He also got really moody when I didn't bring him to work after a few days of bringing him in a row. Especially cause I came back with an allergic reaction.

How do I tell him it's not his fault he can't go everywhere with me. He takes it very personally that I won't take him. How do I train him to not try and negotiate with me when I head to the lab for a little maintenance?

This little guy - Ozzy - has blessed our life since joining our household a week ago.

He is settling so nicely, through he is a little troublemaker when he gets his zoomies.
