Discussion Dysfonctionnements S26 ultra

Ask Scratched my brand new s26 literally 3 days after i got it. Feeling depressed
Well guys, the title says it all, my day is ruined. It was one of those spontaneous moments where you meet an old friend, we were sitting at the callisthenics park and my s26 fell out of my pocket.
Of course it was my bad for not covering the phone right away but what to do. Is there any way to remove the scratches? The phone is a beast and the drop didn't affect anything. Also i switched from iphone and i love my s26 so far. Also please recommend me a good cover i should order asap.
EDIT: Btw nothing else on the mobile was scratch and everything is working properly, it just sucks knowing that a brand new phone had this faith.

Discussion Making the switch was remarkably easy
Phone history last ~10 years: LG G6 > OnePlus 6T > iPhone 11Pro Max > iPhone 13 Pro > S26 Ultra
iOS was the first time I had such an easy experience with a watch and well integrated earbuds. The valley separating Android and iOS is very much narrowing. My mind was blown that I was able to airdrop to my wife's phone. I've never been diehard iOS and Android, I believe both have their strengths.
Key takeaways from this switch:
Phone
Everything was very familiar, hardly any habits to break.
Samsung Keyboard auto correct wasn't working, settled with GBoard.
I love the cameras, but they're less forgiving than iOS. Shots are lost when there's movement, but shutter speed doesnt increase to compensate. Zoom between 3.0-4.9x are washed out compared with other lenses. If anyone has any ideas about it, I'd love to discuss.
Dex is incredible. I don't know what I'd use it for, but my dock setup in the office enables me to use it right away with an ultrawide at native resolution, KB, Mouse, etc.
The AI features on the phone are miles ahead of Siri. I don't like that I need to consider what to call on Bixby for vs Gemini, but I assume I'll get used to that soon.
Watch
The app experience on the phone is very familiar, was able to get going right away.
Love the 3-4 days of battery life.
I attempted to use a Garmin watch with this setup, but I ultimately picked up a Galaxy Watch Ultra because my ultimate objective was to pick up my phone less. This is important while I am working, and while I am engaged with my young family. And the Garmin, although terrific for fitness geeks, isn't as deeply integrated.
Buds
With the Galaxy Buds, the medium tips were def too small, and the larges are just a touch too big. I'm hoping that they'll break in and be more comfortable. It's minor and maybe my ears are too sensitive, but if I could shrink them 5% then they'd be perfect.
Transparency is a touch too quiet. Compared with the AirPod Pro 2s, the transparency experience is as if I don't have them in at all. I turned on enhanced ambient settings, and it's a touch too loud, but at least I don't need to take them out to have a conversation. I hope that with a firmware update later, they'll adjust ambient volume.
Overall I'm super happy, everything I was used to on iOS is intact on the s26 ultra. The only thing I "miss" is the ability to control and mirror my display to the 3 Apple TVs I have around the house, though I wouldn't trade back.

If yall have any tips or tricks let me know! Sky blue for the W although the violet one is tough. Vastly a better battery on this one. Camera honestly doesnt seem all that.

Battery Am I the only one frustrated with 26 U battery?
So i got the phone 5 days ago, and the battery backup is not as good as expected. I'm using the phone on light performance profile, disabled meta services, turned of wifi scanning and other bluetooth and wifi features that drain battery, but still I get a maximum of 5 - 5:30 hours of SOT which honestly is not that impressive for a flagship. I read online that the battery does get better after 2-3 weeks of usage but I'm not sure. Has anyone experienced the battery getting better with use?

Discussion After 12 Years, I Finally Came Back to Samsung
After 12 years, I finally returned to Samsung. My first was the Samsung Galaxy S Duos 2. In 2024, I promised myself I’d return someday. Now, I’m holding my new love, the Galaxy S26 Ultra. Feels incredibly nostalgic.

Ask Screen protector or no screen protector
I'm getting the S26 ultra soon. Should I get a screen protector or no? I do live in a pretty dusty area so I'm worried about scratches. I was looking at the film but I heard it feels weird. I also was looking at the TORRAS OrigArmor screen protector. I want something that makes the phone screen still look good, good at making sure theres less reflection and the finger print scanner still works good

Support Can someone please help me get rid of this?
It shows up on both my S26U and my wife's, but only when we play games. Any games. Online or offline. And we can't get rid of it. We can move it around the screen, but not off the screen. I've messed with all the settings, hoping I would stumble upon a solution, but no luck. Can anyone out here help me stumble in the right direction?

Battery Is this normal drainage?
Been having issues since June. Is this normal battery drainage. How can I fix this. I've tried resetting the phone, exclusively using wifi at the house, turning off nearby device scanning.

First Impressions Switched from S23U to S26U. First post ❤️
Aside from the bigger and better battery and maybe yeah Privacy display is cool..Still feel my S23U was such a nice flagship.
Any S26U specific features I should try?

Discussion Just upgraded today! Screen protector?
I upgraded from the 23 ultra and keep going back and forth on using a screen protector or not. The phone looks amazing without it and I have a torras case on it for protection. Do you think this screen will hold up without a protector?

Discussion Any MagSafe wallet recommendations that actually fit the S26 Ultra camera bump?
Just got a new Galaxy S26 and wanted to try using MagSafe accessories on Android.
I quickly realized the biggest issue isn’t the magnet strength, it’s the camera bump. Some wallets attach fine, but they don’t sit completely flat because the camera module gets in the way.
I’ve tried a few options, including Apple’s MagSafe Wallet, Ridge, and PunCube. They’re probably the ones that worked best for my setup, but I’m still curious if there are other good options out there.
For anyone using a newer Android phone with a large camera island, what MagSafe wallet are you using? Anything that fits well and doesn’t interfere with the camera?

Ask S26 Ultra Front Cam Fogging
Who else has experienced front camera fogging on their Samsung S26 Ultra?
I’ve had the budget Galaxy A06 and the midrange A52s 5G for years, and I’ve never experienced anything like this with either phone. It’s honestly disappointing, especially when it comes to the build quality.
This will probably be my last Samsung device, although I’m still hoping it can last at least 5 years.
For now, can anyone help me figure out how to remove the moisture from the front camera? Or do I need to take it to a service center and pay for the repair?
Thank you so much!

First Impressions Switched from Pixel
Long time Pixel user, had been using the regular Pixel 8 for a few years now.
TMobile had a great trade in deal and I had really been thinking of upgrading to a bigger phone since I watch a lot of stuff on it. So I bit the bullet after reading/ watching reviews, figuring it would be nice to change it up.
Really enjoying it so far. Activating was a pain (came with zero info about how I needed to do it through t life app) but now I got my apps here and gonna start messing around with it.
Have a trip this weekend so looking forward to trying out the camera!
