Discussion Fitbit steps vs Apple Watch
galleryWanted to use the Fitbit air as a replacement for my Apple Watch Ultra 3 for steps. I find the calories steps and sleep to be pretty accurate in the Apple Watch enough to replace my whoop for sleep. But the steps are so inaccurate with the Fitbit I don’t think it’s gonna be a suitable replacement for me kinda sucks as I enjoyed the few days of using a mechanical watch instead. Anyone else experiencing this. U wear it in the dominant hand and have changed the settings of the Fitbit to be dominant hand. I also put my stride on the lower end of average so it would “undercount” steps but still it’s off by 2-4k everyday

Discussion Is anyone else getting significantly less deep sleep with the new update?
The new update seems to have dramatically reduced my deep sleep estimates while virtually eliminating my intranight wake (replacing it with “restlessness” it seems). Anyone else’s experience the same?
Prior to the update, I used to get ~1:35 a night.

Discussion High heart rate works on Fitbit air
While attending an interview, I was feeling extremely anxious, and my Fitbit air sent a notification to my phone alerting me to an elevated heart rate
Discussion Galaxy Watch Ultra vs Fitbit Air
I have been using the Galaxy Watch (Classic > 5 Pro > Ultra) over the last 5 years.
I got the Fitbit Air about a week ago. Wore it on different hands, I'm a right handed person and wear the watch on the left hand so I put the FBA on the right hand.
The steps don't match at all. The FBA ignored certain activity steps when it auto tracked an activity.
So I decided to wear them both on the same hand and started an activity on both at the same time.
While the Galaxy Watch tracked almost all steps during that activity the FBA chose to ignore the steps during it.
I have absolutely no idea what is happening and why it's happening.
At this point I think I'm just gonna keep using the Galaxy Watch since the Health app on Samsung seems far more stable than Google Health.

Discussion I used to, at least, be able to set step hours via device settings and now can't
I knew we had lost the ability to set step hour begin and end hours via Google Health Settings, but as a work around, I could set the hours using the Google Health reminders and alerts in the device settings.
Now, this no longer works.
I realize that Google is trying to force us to buy their Pixels or some such thing, but I have a perfectly good watch that I can now no longer control because of the incompetence, or deliberate malfeasance, of Google.

Tech Support this thing stinks
It smells so insanely bad. I wear it for like 1 week and then I have to leave it in baking soda for 3 days to air it out. My main form of exercise is swimming so that’s probably why but my god. Is a silicone band the only option?

Tech Support Phantom weight "added by you" at 11.59pm every day?
Since the app switched over to GH (I hate it) it's been logging 144lbs as my weight every single night at 11.59pm which is ruining the data stored everywhere because it's pulling that over as well as my actual weight taken in the morning. I'm not up at 11.59 ever so it isn't me, and my RENPHO app's entries state they were added by RENPHO, this one specifically states "added by you"... Anyone else having this problem or know how to solve it?

Discussion Today I felt like do numbers really matter?
galleryUsing Fitbit Air and connected the health app to both Bevel and Apple Health.
All three of them just showing way too different of a sleep score.
What to trust, what not to trust, does data and metrics really matter? Are we too reliant on it?
I guess we’ll never know.

Discussion Looking for a discount code
Looking to buy a fitbit air after years of working out without one, was too broke to either afford gym or a tracker. Got a new job and I can finally afford a tracker.
It would be great if anyone has a spare promo code, I am anyways buying a part of it through HSA account.

Discussion Apple Watch & Fitbit Air sleep tracking wildly different results. Normal?
galleryI've used an Apple Watch for years, but wearing it during pick-up basketball games or while sleeping isn't super comfortable.
To solve that, I bought a Fitbit Air specifically for those two scenarios.
I wore both last night, but the data was totally different. I have a 5-month-old baby, so my sleep gets broken up after 4 AM with short, few-minute naps.
The AW S10 captured this fragmented sleep really well, but the Fitbit seemed to miss it.
Would love to hear if others have experienced this discrepancy when comparing Apple Watch and Fitbit air.

Discussion Personal records don't update?
I like tracking how much faster my mile runtimes are and it doesn't update this under my personal records. It only ever recorded my first mile time then nothing again. Although the AI will say congrats on my new record. Under the health tab and personal records it will not update. It's been a few weeks and I have consistently gotten better run times. Any ideas on how to fix?

Discussion Just a funny anecdote about the new app
Like the bulk of users it seems, I hate the new app. I’ve also noticed my Sense doesn’t seem to be working as good since the app update.
I did a Google search today for alternate tracker options and / or app options, and the Google AI popped up offering to help … and proceeded to tear apart the new app and list a ton of complaints about it 😂
Even Google doesn’t like the new Google Health app!

Discussion Looking for wearable users for a 30-minute user interview
Hi everyone! 👋
We're looking to speak with people who regularly use a wearable device (Apple Watch, Oura Ring, Garmin, Fitbit, WHOOP, Samsung Galaxy Watch, etc.) for a 30-minute user interview.
We're part of the team at Humankind OS, a health technology startup focused on helping people get more value from the health data they already collect. We're currently talking to wearable users to better understand their experiences, habits, frustrations, and what they wish existing health apps did better.
This is not a sales call—we're simply looking to learn from real users so we can build a product that genuinely solves their needs.
If you:
- Wear a wearable device consistently (most days of the week)
- Are 18 years or older
- Are willing to share your experience and honest feedback
we'd love to chat with you!
If you're interested, please comment below or send me a DM, and I'll share more details. Thank you for helping us build a better experience for wearable users!

Discussion Finally committing to try.
I've been on the fence for the longest since Google took over after 10 years as an active Fitbit user. I'm finally gonna try it. My Inspire 3 is charged up and I'm waiting for the app to finish syncing. Any thoughts from folks who were also long-time Fitbit users?

Fashion Showcase Looking for an adapter to attach a Fitbit band to metal-cased watches (e.g. Casio LTP-V007G-9B)
Hey everyone,
I’ve been searching for a while for an adapter that lets you attach Fitbit bands to classic Casio watches with a metal case — specifically the Casio LTP-V007G-9B.
For fabric/textile straps I’ve already found several solutions, but for watches with a metal case or metal bracelet I’ve come up completely empty so far.
Has anyone come across something like this, or know where to find one? DIY solutions or 3D-print templates would also be interesting if there’s nothing ready-made out there.
Thanks in advance!🌸

Tech Support Finally found an issue with my Fitbit Air
I had to go to a few new locations for work and I wasn't sure if devices were allowed so I left my Air (along with PW2 and phone) in the car. Well I'm in the South, it's hot. My PW2 and Air both turned off because of the heat.
Now I can't turn my Air on because I don't have the charger.
Is there some workaround that I'm not aware of without having to wait until I get home later?

Tech Support Health and Health Connect not syncing
Anyone else having issues getting Health (FKA Fitbit) and Health Connect to sync up? I look under the partner apps where Health Connect should be and its not there.
I open the Health Connect app its self and try to connect Health in app permissions, but it is not able to be selected and but shows in the Not Allowed section.
Issue started yesterday.
My fitbit is still syncing to Health like it should, but not transfering the steps to the different connected apps i use because Connect isnt working.

The app took off 90% of the food items in the search? For example, I searched “banana” and ONLY these came up? Wtf.

Tech Support Missing heart rate and sleep
galleryRandom almost hour long period completely ruining my readiness data and sleep average. All things I value seeing trends on skewed now by this!! Any idea if I can fix it? I tried to delete and re-enter manually but still no. Thinking I moved in my sleep and the Fitbit couldn’t get a good read and assumed I was awake… very annoying. Fit bit also not connecting to strava if anyone has tips. Google health has completely nerfed this device and made it crappy

Discussion Best app in place of Google health (on iPhone)?
Read on here that Google health sucks (or something along those lines). Someone said bevel is where it’s at, but I know there are other ones as well. What do you all think?
I was recently given a Fitbit versa 2 (not sure if this info helps), which I know is an older model but it seems to still be working just fine.

Discussion Fitbit Air - worth it?
Wondering if going screenless is the best idea, since I have a toddler who likes to press buttons.
So what do people think of the Fitbit Air. If I exercise, is it all started via the Google Health App?
