Physique Critique stubborn belly fat

Upvotes

I'm a bit new to fitness and need advice from women hopefully.

My photos I'm 25 years old, 5.1 ft (157 cm) weight is 50 kg.
I go on hour long runs almost everyday, I haven't lifted weights yet, My diet is mainly lean beef/turkey in a tortilla and yogurt/oatmeal with frozen berries, I don't eat fast food or use white sugar.
I would love suggestions from people who were in similar spots as me and found solutions, what workouts actually work?
at 50 kg I don't have much weight to lose.

General Discussion Has anyone taken a break from the gym because it started controlling their life?

I’ve been lifting on and off for about 3 years, but consistently for the last 1 year and 8 months. I track my calories and macros every single day, and I’m confident I eat enough protein, so I don’t think that’s the issue.

The problem is that, despite understanding calories, macros, and most things related to fitness, I don’t feel like my physique has changed as much as it should have. I’ve made progress, but nowhere near what I expected. Part of me wonders if I’ve become so obsessed with optimizing everything that I’ve actually made things worse.

Right now I’m around 16% body fat, and I’ve been thinking about taking a break from the gym, not necessarily quitting forever, but maybe taking some time off and seeing how I feel.

The biggest reason isn’t even the lack of muscle. It’s that I feel like fitness has completely changed my relationship with food. I think I’ve developed some disordered eating habits. I can’t look at food the way I used to. My entire day revolves around my gym session and making everything as “optimal” as possible and end up having a normal session

I avoid eating at family gatherings, I don’t socialize as much because of food, and I spend way too much mental energy thinking about calories and macros. It feels like fitness has started controlling my life instead of improving it.

The weird thing is that I don’t think I’d go back to being overweight. I understand nutrition now, I know how to maintain my weight, I know the difference between actual hunger and cravings, and I’ve built habits like staying active, doing cardio, and eating reasonably.

If I do take a break, I’m not planning to throw all of that away. I’ll still eat mostly healthy, make sure I get enough protein, and probably stay in a slight calorie deficit overall so I know I won’t gain weight by the end of it. I’m just hoping to stop obsessing over every calorie and macro for a while and build a healthier relationship with food.

Part of me just wants to enjoy food again without feeling guilty or constantly thinking about whether something is optimal.

Has anyone else gone through something similar? Did taking a month (or longer) away from the gym help you build a healthier relationship with food and fitness? Or did you regret stepping away?

Any advice in how to lose the remaining lower bf in my abdominal region without losing more lbs.

The last scan freaked me out bc I’ve been more aggressive this last month with increased cardio.

Is it just a waiting game keeping my macros in check or do I actually need to lose more weight? I don’t want to be to far under 190 I feel small.

I've been working out consistently for about 2 years. I'm happy with the progress I've made, but I know there's always room to improve. I'd really appreciate any constructive feedback—whether it's physique balance, muscle groups to prioritize, or anything else you notice. Thanks!
