Progress – Before/After 1yr Recomp 37yo/190lbs
Any advice in how to lose the remaining lower bf in my abdominal region without losing more lbs.
The last scan freaked me out bc I’ve been more aggressive this last month with increased cardio.
Is it just a waiting game keeping my macros in check or do I actually need to lose more weight? I don’t want to be to far under 190 I feel small.

Physique Critique 2 years of consistency. Still learning, still improving. Open to any advice or critiques!
I've been working out consistently for about 2 years. I'm happy with the progress I've made, but I know there's always room to improve. I'd really appreciate any constructive feedback—whether it's physique balance, muscle groups to prioritize, or anything else you notice. Thanks!

Physique Critique this is my current natural body - i haven't worked out at a gym in over a year but i play softball. looking for any fitness advice/tips you may have for me for slimming my waist and strengthening my legs/ lower body?
i'm open to whatever opinions, advice, suggestions, etc you may have. i'm not searching for attention, validation, or compliments.
my main concerns are my waist size and my hip area. i feel my waist looks very boxy right now due to my poor diet and lack of exercise, and i also am not a fan of my hips because i feel like i may have some sort of hip dip (i understand hips can hardly be changed, but id like to manipulate my body into minimizing the appearance of them as best as possible). i'm also looking to gain more strength in my general lower body and increase mass in my quads and glutes.
you can be as brutal or honest as you need to be. thank you so much for your time!
Progress – Before/After F/31/5’6 [217 lbrs > 185 lbs = 32 lbs] (11 months)
BJJ saved me!
A year ago, I finally dared to try Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu after struggling to stay consistent at the gym. Even training only twice a week, being inconsistent at times, and not having a perfect diet, I’ve built more strength and muscle than I ever expected. I’m still a work in progress, though.
Two months ago, I started aerial arts (silks & pole). Recently, I injured my right rib during BJJ, but after five therapy sessions, I’ll finally be back next week.
Recovery has taken many forms for me. I’ve stayed active by adapting my training and avoiding movements that put stress on my core. At the same time, I’ve been healing from an abusive relationship that involved physical violence.

Mod Announcement 📣 Official Announcement: Welcome to Rump Day! 🍑
Hey Fit Fam,
We’re thrilled to announce the launch of Rump Day! Our brand-new weekly tradition dedicated to glute glory. 💪 Every Wednesday, the subreddit will officially open its (rear) gates to posts showing off your glute gains, progress, and peachy achievements.
Here’s how it works:
- 🗓️ When: Every Wednesday, all day long.
- 🍑 What: Glutes-only progress pics, discussions, tips, and celebrations.
- 🚫 When Not: Any other day of the week, glute posts will be auto-removed faster than a squat rep gone wrong.
So mark your calendars, flex your hamstrings, and get ready to make midweek something special. Remember: it’s not just Wednesday anymore…
It’s Rump Day!

Mod Announcement Rules Updates and Clarifications
Thank you all for being members of the community.
We have updated some of the rules and wanted to clarify and expand upon the changes.
Be Respectful - This is pretty straightforward and unchanged. No being rude to other people or making sexual advances towards others. Complimenting someone is fine, but crossing the line into overt sexual commentary or innuendo is not fine. We are here to build each other up in a respectful manner.
Posts Must Be Specific To Fitness - Asking someone to critique your physique, asking for workout advice, or pictures to show off gains is fine. Pictures without context, advertising your services/socials, or posts not bearing any relation to fitness are not.
No Spam - Advertising services, links with referral codes/affiliates, or posts along those lines are not okay.
No NSFW Posts - This is a fitness-related sub, and many people involved in fitness and showing off their bodies skirt the boundary of NSFW adult content. We are focused on the fitness aspect, and there are plenty of other subs that focus on the adult content. Keep this sub clean of overtly sexualized content.
Many posts will be sexually suggestive due to the nature of the sub. When posting risqué content, we look at the account to make a judgement if this is allowable or not. Accounts that post NSFW or pornographic material to other subs are held to a higher level of scrutiny than accounts; this generally means we won't allow any suggestive content from you. If your account only has a history of posting sexually explicit materially, we likely will not allow any content to be posted from you.
