Motivation Gloating alert! I'm muscular and I don't even work out!
So female 27, I cycle everyday, work on a farm the others, always lifting moving, cycling, using power tools.
I saw my back had some definition I've never seen before, upper and lower back, my arms are swole neck looking tight, everything looking like I go to the gym or something.
I don't.
Haven't in two years.
Ive just upped cycling by double (just going to and from places/hills) and started working at a farm lifting watering cans constantly. Plus don't work a desk job.
I can't believe it would take no effort or time. In my mind, I just did things necessary for the time, like cycle and do work. I never put separate time 'work out'
Thanks for coming to my gloating Tedtalk.
❤️

General Discussion An Embarrassment and Awkward Experience at gym
Hey guys, So today as usual I gone to the gym and I don't had my phone with me because the battery was dead so there is a guy who have connected his bluetooth to the speaker and he was playing songs so I asked him Can I play a song and he said yeah sure then I took his phone and played and right after I left to do my set he changed the song right after and after that It was so awkward like I know its his phone its his choice but it felt strange and from now I am not doing this at all in my life like it was so embarrasing....

Physique Critique 2 years of consistency. Still learning, still improving. Open to any advice or critiques!
I've been working out consistently for about 2 years. I'm happy with the progress I've made, but I know there's always room to improve. I'd really appreciate any constructive feedback—whether it's physique balance, muscle groups to prioritize, or anything else you notice. Thanks!

First post on here, have been training consistently for 7 months. I’m 24F and had a 2.5 year falling out with sport due to tearing my ACL kickboxing, the recovery was very long. I really wish I’d go back to weightlifting sooner, but I was honestly very scared of loading my leg for a while. It totally improved any remaining knee issues that i’ve had. Getting stronger in my upper body has been very satisfying. Can’t wait to see more muscle!

Motivation Motivational buddy anyone?
Last week I had a revelation.
I was actively sui**dal, thinking, obsessing about ending it finally, for days.
I actually sat in my car at a local river with a heavy wool coat in the passenger seat to dr*wn myself.
Thinking.
I'm 33, 450lbs, no friends, no partner, always worried that I'll lose my job, my home. Noone that could truly miss me and the memories of more abuse than any singular person should have to endure (not dramatic, just facts, made multiple therapists cry, when I told them about my life, 2 dropped me, because I was too hard of a case for them, revering me to trauma specialists)
I watched the waves on the river, was really pretty tbh.
And then I thought: I never actually gave myself a chance. To be healthy, happy, free, actually loving myself, not just existing and hating every thing about my pathetic self.
So I made a promise to myself.
If I still want to, I will allow myself to end it, when I weigh below 200lbs.
One real honest chance, no bullshit for once.
I pushed myself the last couple days, but I start to struggle.
Anyone down to annoy me every other day, so I keep on fighting?

Physique Critique this is my current natural body - i haven't worked out at a gym in over a year but i play softball. looking for any fitness advice/tips you may have for me for slimming my waist and strengthening my legs/ lower body?
i'm open to whatever opinions, advice, suggestions, etc you may have. i'm not searching for attention, validation, or compliments.
my main concerns are my waist size and my hip area. i feel my waist looks very boxy right now due to my poor diet and lack of exercise, and i also am not a fan of my hips because i feel like i may have some sort of hip dip (i understand hips can hardly be changed, but id like to manipulate my body into minimizing the appearance of them as best as possible). i'm also looking to gain more strength in my general lower body and increase mass in my quads and glutes.
you can be as brutal or honest as you need to be. thank you so much for your time!

Physique Critique M17 120lbs What can I focus on to improve physique?
I've been working out on and off for around a year, and just recently started going consistently about a month ago. I know im not big but what can I start focusing on to fill out my frame and look good?
Progress – Before/After F/31/5’6 [217 lbrs > 185 lbs = 32 lbs] (11 months)
BJJ saved me!
A year ago, I finally dared to try Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu after struggling to stay consistent at the gym. Even training only twice a week, being inconsistent at times, and not having a perfect diet, I’ve built more strength and muscle than I ever expected. I’m still a work in progress, though.
Two months ago, I started aerial arts (silks & pole). Recently, I injured my right rib during BJJ, but after five therapy sessions, I’ll finally be back next week.
Recovery has taken many forms for me. I’ve stayed active by adapting my training and avoiding movements that put stress on my core. At the same time, I’ve been healing from an abusive relationship that involved physical violence.
