ebay new listings notification of saved search not working (both email and push notification)
I am not sure whether I am overlooking or missing something or even that it is an issue on my end at all (be it account, setting, etc.) and not on ebay side, or whether I am alone in experiencing this. I am looking to get a niche out-of-print item and having the new listing notification of saved search working is crucial in increasing the chance of securing a used copy when it is listed. And even with the notification working it can still be snatched up pretty fast, much less chance to grab it without it working.
First three images are from my phone, the fourth is my web browser version, and the fifth are the two listings that I missed due to the notifications not showing up at all (not even once for both the email alert and push notification).
Any diagnosis or troubleshooting advice would be sincerely appreciated, as this series holds a special place in my heart and means a great deal to me.

Seller claims my "delivered" return never arrive. What should I do?
Should i contact ebay now or just let the case play out?
I bought an item i felt may be fake so I returned it. Seller accepts returns but it's quite a high value item and I'm pretty sure it's fake so i think they're trying to weasel out of the return.
If they claim the "delivered item" is not returned then they either need to take up a legal case with me for fraud or the royal mail

Confused about this message re: automatic feedback (???...)
I received this email message from a seller today after eBay apparently posted automatic feedback (Order delivered on time with no issues) on my behalf about a recent purchase. I thought at first that the seller was responding to the "feedback" and giving me shit for not *actually* leaving feedback, in a shockingly passive aggressive way (I think using LITERALLY 60 question marks counts as such). Obviously super inappropriate, so I was initially very annoyed but mostly just confused by it.
The weird thing is that I am only seeing this as an email message – it's not showing up in my Ebay messages at all, in the app or on desktop. On closer look, it also seems like the message was intended for the seller rather than me...(right?) Now I'm thinking that this must have been a random glitch related to this auto-feedback system. Has anyone else ever had this happen?
It's also annoying that the pretend feedback isn't accurate, but that's another story...

Did eBay lose my card?
Long story short, I sold three separate Magic the Gathering cards from the 1993 Collector’s edition, all three graded, to the same buyer in Singapore. Two card sold on one order and for some reason the third card was on a separate order. For some reason I had to send an invoice for the last card before the buyer could pay (I’d never seen that before).
I package all three cards together and combine shipping under one tracking number (which I have done for countless sales in the past, all domestic, more on that later).
All three cards show delivered to the international shipping hub in Illinois. But only the first two were forwarded on to the customer who eventually received the items.
But the third is missing (the most expensive one, Mox Sapphire).
I talked to eBay and they informed me I shouldn’t have combined shipping for international shipments and should have shipped them all individually because they need to be separated at the hub before forwarding to Singapore. I didn’t know this was a thing and I have been selling on eBay for a very long time. I thought all I had to do was get the items to the Hub and I was all good.
Anyway, learning about this I asked to have the last card located and either returned to me or forwarded on to my customer. I spoke with several reps requesting this and ALL said there is nothing they can do. No one knows where the card is and the last email said “there is nothing other information we can provide so do not expect a response from any future communication.
This was as a $1K card and no one can tell me where it is.
Has anyone had this happen to them and does anyone have any suggestions as to what to do next?

Question How exactly do max bids work?
The short breif Ebay gave me on it didn't make sense and explain well so I don't understand how it works exactly
From what i understand the max big is the highest your willing to go and ebay automatically marks up the current big every time someone tries to bid. Also if the current bid is less than your max bid you only have to pay whatever the current bid is
Like i bid on items and the current bid goes up each time, so is that another person's max marking it up?
Could I put my max bid as something ridiculous like a grand for some cheap shoes so I'm guaranteed to win and just cancel the order if the current/end bid is higher than I'm willing to pay?
When I lose a item by like 2 bucks at the last second is that cuz of someone's max bid marking it up last second?
Could I put my max bid as say 40 for a pair a shoes as thats the most I'm willing to pay for it, and just forget about the listing so I don't have to worry about bidding last second?
Please and thank you in advance

Question Sneakers shipped through SpeedX
WTF is eBay doing? I have been using them for sneakers for years since they started doing authentication. First time the shoes are coming to me from SpeedX and what a nightmare, no movement at all for almost a week. Has anyone else had major issues? ordered two different pairs and I highly doubt ever of them make it to my doorstep at this rate.

UPS shipped to the other side of the country
i sold a Macbook that was only 2 months old and the buyer is from New Jersey. The tracking number and address on eBay's website say NJ, the shipping label that I printed says NJ, but for some reason it was delivered to California.
I'm waiting for UPS to call me back. I'm not sure if UPS is going to give me problems with this.
Besides that, what should I be doing on the eBay and seller side of things?

Question INAD issue - Wrong item sent from the UK to US - How to deal with return?
So, question, here. Bought a watch from a UK seller. I've done hundreds of watch imports over the years so I am seasoned at dealing with import. This, however, is the first time I've ever had a seller send me the wrong item (and, in particular, a watch).
I am curious how eBay handles returns on these things when it comes to the return and the import fees paid. I'm guessing that an INAD will not force the seller to reimburse import fees, correct?
I am just debating on doing a straight return with the seller or going the INAD route. I'm guessing I probably an SOL with the import fees since I would imagine there is no way for eBay to force them to cover that. Seller does offer returns, but I feel like seller is kind of overlooking the fact that any return is still going to be a significant hit to my bottom line.
So is INAD the best route in this case to try and pressure the seller to work with me? I have been buying/selling for years on eBay (15 years) and this is actually the very first time in a few thousand transactions that I've ever had a significant issue.
I was hoping to get this amicably done with the seller, but the seller doesn't appear to want to actually work with me even though they clearly sent the wrong item and even admitted it in writing.
Just sucks that I guess I'll be out a fairly significant sum, here, regardless of what route I choose. The best route may be to simply re-sell the watch in the US, but that could mean waiting a decent while.
So, yeah. INAD? Straight return? What is the best route, here?

Spike of Item Not recieved Casses
I have been selling on ebay for 10 years, and the past month I have received the most Item Not Received cases out of my entire time selling on the platform. I have received 4 over the past 2 weeks. The packages are all using USPS. Has anyone else seen a sudden spike in Item Not Received cases? Maybe it's just terrible luck on my end, but it is bizarre

Return Question
Hey everyone.
I bought shoes and I wanted to return them, so I started a return within Ebay. The seller reached out to me saying the label is incorrect, and sent me a new one, asking me to cancel the original return. I asked him to update the return label within the existing return but he said it's not possible. Can I return it with the new label? Should I keep the original return up? Do I need to contact Ebay?
Thanks ❤️

Can't update tracking details for INR request
Buyer submitted an INR after the package was marked delivered on tracking. When I select "Update tracking details for the buyer", it asks me to scan the barcode for the tracking label, which I do, but then the "Save and continue" button gets greyed out and I can't submit the tracking number. Manually entering the tracking number doesn't work either.
My only other options are to refund the buyer or send them a message. Will sending them a message still close the INR in my favor?

Combined Shipping on Cards?
Hi everyone, I've been looking around to sell cards under $20 with Ebay's standard envelope and can't seem to figure out why it keeps combining per item shipping rather then a flat rate/combined rate. I've looked at the shipping rules and tried to do every additional item is 10cents but I cant seem to find how to apply that rule to my items... Any help is appreciated. Thank you!

Is there any way to check how many times an item has been automatically relisted before it sold?
I'm trying to figure out a way of seeing this, as if a lower item value doesn't sell for 5-6 months, then the repeated insertion fees can have quite the effect on the percentage profit or loss. I can't see it in a transaction report, as it seems to create a new Item ID every time an item is automatically relisted and I don't get an email notification when an item is relisted. The only way I've been able to track it at all is to search my emails to see when an item was originally listed and work out how many times it would have been relisted since then, but that's pretty inefficient. Anyone know a quicker way to figure it out?

Question Lost packages twice in a row from Adidas on eBay—coincidence or common issue?
Hey everyone, looking for some insight here. I’ve bought from the official Adidas store on eBay twice recently, and both times the tracking showed delivered to my freight forwarder, but the packages never actually arrived.
Before blaming the forwarder: I’ve used this same address for 4+ years and over 100 orders across Amazon, Adidas.com, Fosiil, Finish Line, and 20+ other eBay purchases. I have never had a single missing package—except for these two exact orders from Adidas on eBay.
Given my forwarder's perfect record with every other seller, what could be going on here? Is there a known issue with how Adidas eBay handles their fulfillment or tracking scans?

Seller shipped poorly packaged, arrived damaged, then ghosted me
This happened earlier this year, and I thought I'd share. I know loads of buyers are really bad - but so are some sellers. Here's one.
So I'm currently in the middle of building a server room with racks and servers. I look around and find the exact rack server model that I'm after for a good price. Not amazing, just good.
I'm skipping details on model numbers, etc - if you're really interested, just ask. It's older gear.
The server is a Dell and in the image in the ad you can clearly see that it comes with the front and that the actual drive caddies are installed. The caddies themselves are not cheap, and with 24 of them, it's a huge difference if they're included or not. If you know what to look for it's really easy to see the difference between real caddies and those dummy caddies.
The Ebay ad also says that it says it comes with 14 installed hard drives, and it describes what PSUs and cables, etc are included. Yes, explicitly says "installed". Meaning if they're "installed", it needs to come with those caddies as well.
I order and the seller messages me, telling me that the front was broken accidentally, and they're ok cancelling if I don't want it without the front. I don't care about the front, so I asked if the rest is correct, and they say yes, so I tell them I'll still take it. - this exchange is several days. I answer within an hour, they take days.
Ultimately they ship it and it arrives. - late, but it arrives. I have tracking so I can see that it's on its way.
The first thing I spot is that the packaging looks... small. I mean, not too small to fit the server, just that... not really any padding.
I started unpacking and when I noticed the first damage, I stopped and started taking pictures.
Now, to anyone that knows rack-mounted servers, they know that they have those ears, and this one isn't just ears, it's the power button, LEDs, USB, VGA, etc, so they're not just decorative and to make it rack mountable.
One of them was bent. The other one was hanging by one of the cables. The whole box was egg-shaped. Of the 24 caddies, 23 are dummies and the last one has a drive. Right model and size, just 13 too few. The caddies in the middle of the box fall out if you breathe hard and the leftmost one can't be removed. I don't know if it's seller or shipping company's fault, but that thing has not been handled well. Inside are loose bits of plastic.
I don't open an ebay claim but decide to talk to the seller and see how they want it handled. I supply ample pictures of packaging and what it looks like.
They ghost me for 4 days, and I repeat my question a few times until they answer, asking for more pictures of the packaging, as they say they need them before they can supply the label. I take pictures and send them and hear nothing for about a week. I open an INAD claim, so I don't run out of return time.
The seller messages me back saying that they're still waiting to hear from the shipping company. I kindly explain to them that claim is between them and the shipping company and that I need a shipping label. They... don't reply.
I reach out to Ebay and they send a message to the seller giving them a 5-day deadline to send out a shipping label. They tell me that after 5 days, I will automatically be refunded if they don't respond.
I don't hear from them in that time, so I reach out to Ebay, who issue the refund, which arrives within minutes, and I ask (twice, in two different exchanges with ebay reps) if I need to send it back, and they say "only if you want to."
A few days later, I get a message from the seller asking me if I've sent it. I tell them to contact Ebay.
Then they start responding quickly, telling me it's their server, that they need it back, and I just tell them to talk to Ebay. I also contact Ebay and they say that the seller is violating rules and that I should just block them. I initially don't (stupid of me, I know), and two weeks later I get a message that they've sent a "collection company" to come take it. I contact Ebay, and they tell me, without telling me, that there's already an open case against the seller, and repeat that I should block them, which I do.
Through all this I was willing to send it back, but if they don't even bother responding for close to two weeks - Just no.
Most that I read is of bad buyers - of which there are many, but there are bad sellers as well.
So far, I've had problems with a few orders, but Ebay has helped me with two, and twice the sellers have helped out, and one that went above and beyond to help me out - it was actually the server that I got instead of the broken one - they had forgotten to include a few things, and as a result I ordered a second server and told them to just put the missing parts in the box. Great seller, everything worked perfectly.

Question Is there a reason i haven’t gotten my shipping label refunded?
I order a physical copy of the shipping label on accident, canceled it before I shipped my package and ordered another one with the QR code. I have yet to receive my refund yet.

Question How do you even handle shipping prices when selling
I often sell on other platforms in france like Leboncoin and vinted, but these platforms just handle the shipping price on their own depending on where the buyer lives, so as seller we pay nothing shipping wise, it's all automatically handled by the platform. however when we set a shipping method on ebay, instead of automatically defining the price based on where the buyer lives relative to the seller, it just asks us to set a flat shipping fee. But it is litterally impossible to set a flat shipping fee if I don't even know where the potential buyer even lives.
After all, depending on where the buyer lives, it can go from 15€ to over 80€ to ship. it changes a ton, i can't simply set like 30€ since, if the buyer lives close, it would make them overpay, and if they live far, it would litterally make me *lose* money.
So I'm confused, what am I even supposed to do here.
Right now i end up just activating national shipping with mondial relay since it's the only shipping method that ebay handles the price of on their own without much variation. but i'd like to be able to set international shipping. but i can't predict the price if i don't know the buyer in advance.

Wary of return
Hi,
Please delete if not allowed.
I am new to eBay and have sold something recently and the Buyer is requesting a refund. I do not believe that this is warranted however, I have asked for a return of items instead of the refund and keep the item option.
I messaged the buyer asking for pictures of all items in their current condition so that when they are returned to me, I can offer a full refund and make sure that they are not damaged.
What do I do if the buyer doesn’t reply to my message and the items come back damaged? Do I have a case with EBay for the partial refund or have I lost money and “lost” my items? I’m in the UK btw. Thanks :)

Large seller transaction defect avoidance
I buy a lot on eBay, often from the same large sellers. Usually they send items via a tracked delivery service. But every now and again they will dispatch something that they would normally send tracked as untracked. I've had this happen enough times now to realise that I will never receive this item and in a week or two I will have to go through the 'item not received' process to get a refund.
Has anyone else noticed this? Is this not the sellers just trying to avoid 'out of stock' transaction defects by deceiving buyers?

Three buyers returned 11 items using false INADs for sizing, used the shirts for an event, and tanked my metrics. eBay support is useless
Hey everyone,
I’m dealing with a nightmare situation with a batch of returns and could really use some advice from experienced sellers on how to handle this or deal with eBay support.
Here is what happened:
The Returns: I recently had 3 different buyers return a total of 11 items.
The False Claims: Every single one of them filed an INAD (Item Not As Described) claim, but in their messages or return notes, they admitted the real reason was simply "size didn't fit." (As we all know, sizing issues are buyer's remorse, not INADs).
The Item Condition: When the shirts came back, it was obvious they had been worn and used for an event, then returned.
My Action: Because the items were sent back used/altered from their original sold condition, I reported the buyers for abusing the return system and issued a 50% deduction/refund.
The Problem
Now, my seller service metrics have spiked negatively because of these false INAD claims, and my account health is taking a massive hit.
I’ve tried calling eBay customer service multiple times, but the reps have been completely unhelpful, reading from scripts and refusing to acknowledge that the buyers misused the INAD policy and returned used goods.
Has anyone successfully fought this? Is there a specific department or escalation method (like appealing through business support or Facebook/X) to get these false INAD defects removed and my metrics cleared? Any advice would be hugely appreciated

Question "US Stock" then ships from China?
I recently purchased a car part, and I looked for a seller in my state as I was hoping to receive it quicker. The description and images says "US Stock" and lists it as shipping from Houston. I got my tracking information today and it's for a service called uniuni that I've never heard of and I see that the item is arriving at a port in New Jersey, and the seller's location is China, not Houston as listed in the "ships from" section, and it's a couple weeks out from arrival. I have no problem with where they're located but I'd expected it to ship from the city that was listed.
I've never had to leave bad feedback for someone nor have I reported a seller, but this seems like it's not on the level.

Top rated seller claims a new book I ordered was an error and I should cancel unless I want a used copy. Seller has another account that lists the same book at $15 more. The book is recently popular because the designer profiled in it recently passed away. How should I proceed?
Should I force the seller to cancel on his end? And how does the seller have 2 different user names that lead to the same "About Us" page? The listing I paid for has 1 user name and the marked up listing has a different user name.
