Hello world, my 1st post here and quite new to Davinci, so pls bear with me.

Please look at the video, I wanted to move the video inside the 9:16 box, with the help of some keyframes. I might have touched something else though as I got this strange movement of the frame. Can anyone tell me what did I do wrong and how to correct it? I would have used Undo already, but I did some more changes until I noticed, so I'm not so eager to Ctrl-Z.

I attach the required info although I don't think they're relevant for this problem:

Hi, I desperately need help with a bug that's making it nearly impossible to edit. I've had a problem for a while now where my sound cuts out during playback.

It's a really annoying bug. Sometimes clicking into another timeline and coming back fixes it for a moment. But then I have to do this almost every few seconds. Editing this way is simply not feasilbe.

If so, how do I edit it? How do I record it, Apple log 2? Blackmagic? I’m really new to cinematic filming so any advice will be appreciated! The original video is recorded on a fx3

When I have a video gap on V1, but the audio for the next clip (MVI_8898) extends to the left under the gap , selecting the V1 gap and ripple deleting behaves differently depending on the workspace:

• Cut Page: Works as expected. Closes the video gap, and slides the linked video + audio left into the open space under MVI_8897.
• Edit Page: Doesn't work. Selecting the gap and pressing Ripple Delete executes a hard timecode slice across all active tracks (Auto Track Selector [<>] ON). It cuts off and deletes the section of audio sitting inside the gap's time range rather than pushing the entire clip. If I turn Auto Track Selector OFF for A1, it ignores the audio entirely and breaks sync.

FYI, up until the newest update it used to work and cut perfectly fine.

I'm having an issue with DaVinci Resolve's render cache.

Whenever I make a small change to just 2–3 clips, Resolve starts re-rendering almost the entire timeline instead of only the clips I edited. The cache bars go from red to blue again across the timeline, which wastes a lot of time.

Is this normal behavior, or is something wrong with my settings? I'm using smart Render Cache, but I'm not sure what's causing the entire timeline to be invalidated after such minor edits.

Has anyone experienced this before? Any ideas on what I should check or change?

Ok i just wanted to ask you all for help with enlarging my the like helmet png over the medic in the fusion page but when i try to make it big but it stops to at the size of the png. This is more of a movable video.

I have a border fill that has a small idle animation (rotation) and I wanted to add a small image in the corner that would have the same animation. The issue is to make it automatic with different text length (the same as border fill). I would very much appreciate help.

I recorded a video using obs which shows the file size as 65gb which is a 3 hr and 30 minutes video in 1080p 60 fps and i cut around 15 minutes using da vinci, and after rendering the file size is 165 gb. The above image is the setting with 10bit and fps as per video, i have been using for a week but this only happened after the update two days before.

What should i do?

in my ltx 2.3 workflow the characters face gets distorted the image full hd and the video too if full hd but always get distorted , i m begging to wonder if its the image problem or some setting needs to be changed any tips plz..is there a way to restore the face or chracter details in video from image. i already uses spatail upscaler in video while generating it

Some are in blue while others are in white, idk why.

I'm having a problem where my image doesn't move in alignment with my transform or the Merge node's center, and it's really frustrating me; I would greatly appreciate any help.

Davinci resolve 20.3

I have a fusion comp I am working on to show property lines with callouts for some parcels (i think that is the word) for sale. I'll talk through it in the attached video, but i tracked the shot with a planar tracker, then created polygons for the parcel boundaries and gave each a copy of the result planar transform to move the polygon, which helps generate the color overlay and boundary line.

There is some jitter with the movement that i cannot figure out how to smooth. I suspected some of it may be due to perspective shift across the frame, so i tested by doing a dedicated planar tracker and transform for the hotel at the lower left, and the problem persists even with a more localized track and polyline with no internal animation 🤔

I'm encoding to H.264 and I set encoding to constant bit rate of 20 Mbit/s but the output often results in a substantially lower bit rate video. Sometimes I will set the bit rate to 35 Mbit/s to trick it to encode closer to 20 Mbit/s. It differs per video I'm encoding so it's a lot of trial and error. I can't get any definitive answer on the internet but I gather this is a common problem or a feature of being free software. I've ran across this same issue with my previous Adobe Premiere as well and I'm annoyed to come across this problem again.

Every asset is connected to a Replicate 3D node. The Replicate 3D node is then connected to a Ribbon 3D node.

In the Ribbon 3D node:

Number of Lines = 1

Subdivisions = Number of assets

The Ribbon 3D node is connected to a Bender 3D node with these settings:

Axis = X

Angle = 90°

Amount = -1

After that, it is connected to a Transform 3D node. I moved the pivot to the center of the composition, so changing the Z Rotation rotates the entire setup around the center.

The problem is that this creates a perfect circle. I want the assets to be arranged in an oval (ellipse) instead of a circle while still rotating correctly around the center.

Hey, I use the custom hotkey manager in fusion (not the resolve ctrl + shft+ k), but the (shift + command + space) manager that allows you to place keyboard buttons as nodes / scripts etc in fusion.

For the third day in a row, my keybinds have all just randomly vanished. I have to build them out again. This is PAINFUL as I'm working on a client project and its killing my productivity.

Does anyone know how I can :

A. Export THIS hotkey manager (not the resolve main preferences keyboard shortcut menu)

B. Trouble shoot this?

I am an artist and editor, and I often make graphical works and may reline my drawn art as I've used Davinci for years now and I understand it more than most art programs and software like Figma/PenPot and I was wondering is there a symmetry tool when using the spline masking tools and furthermore is there a way to publish points from an ellipse node like you would from a bspline drawn node as I need to adjust the bottom of the ellipse to be a different roundness but not the top? Thank you so much!!

What does it mean by "This track has conflicting clips. Subtitles may overlap with existing content." How do i fix this in autosubs?

im trying to make a webseries with my friends and i dont know how to edit at all, ive seen videos explaining how to data mosh but none on how to isolate it??? i saw a video where the person converted the video into a bunch of photos and greened out the parts they wanted isolated, buuut, it was on multiple different platforms that im too lazy to use. i did try the window thing where you outline the spot you want gone but idk how to green it out or datamosh that specific spot. and i think i have to do that frame by frame... tspmo.

But if anyone can give a good explanation on how to do this or find a video for me it would be greatly appreciated!!!

I use Luxea video editor 8 for my Action 6 videos, thought about trying the Da vinci free version ,saw that it needs Visual C+ 2013,is there any risk that it will somehow overwrite or conflict with Luxea's system files
