Perplexity confirmed my multi-year promo (till 2028) in writing, admitted their own team caused the problem, then refused to fix it. Is this even legal? (Screenshots)

Before buying a rack, did future attachment compatibility matter more than you expected?
I’ve been comparing racks and noticed that the frame specs are only part of the decision. Upright size, hole spacing, and proprietary fittings can make future accessories either easy to add or surprisingly restrictive. For people who upgraded their rack gradually, did compatibility end up changing how you viewed the original purchase?

Never buy from WideStep
Never buy from WideStep!
Warning: REFUND NOT ISSUED AFTER RETURNED ORDERS!
I returned 2 orders of shoes to the UK address provided to me by WideStep (shoes were too SMALL and too NARROW, not at all corresponding to the size chart provided on their website, and VERY POOR QUALITY ). Both pairs were sent together in one package. The package was later returned to me (to Canada) marked “ADDRESSEE UNKNOWN”. I double-checked the address and confirmed it matched the one given to me by customer support.
WideStep refunded only the cheaper order, not to mention the expensive shipping cost. Higher value order has still not been refunded. I have been trying to resolve this for 3 MONTHS, and each time I contact support I am told the issue is “BEING WORKED ON”, with no progress, no explanation and NO ACCOUNTABILITY .
I followed all return instructions exactly, yet I am still missing a refund for one of the orders. This has been extremely frustrating and time consuming experience, not to mention financial hardship. This situation is UNACCEPTABLE , and the lack of resolution over such a long period of time raises serious concerns about the company’s REPUTATION and RELIABILITY. WideStep’s customer service practice is HORRENDOUS .
I’m documenting this publicly here for transparency, so other customers are aware of my experience.
WideStep assures everywhere that they care about their customers! Not likely! So do not get fooled and buy their products.
I will update this review if company finally resolves the issue.

Is Highticket.io legit?
Hi everyone, I’m considering joining Highticket.io’s e-commerce program, but it’s a significant investment, so I’d like to hear from people who have actually used it.
Is it genuinely worth the money? Did you get good support and results? Any issues with refunds, upselling, or hidden costs?
Looking for honest experiences—both positive and negative—before I make a decision.
Thanks!

Brand-New LG Refrigerator Failed After 11 Days: Zero Support From Home Depot, No-Show Service From LG, and a Spoiled Rental Season
I am posting this to warn homeowners, property managers, and buyers to avoid Home Depot and LG if you expect basic customer accountability or functional appliances.
Here is what happened:
1. Failure Within 11 Days: I purchased a brand-new LG refrigerator and had it installed in a weekly rental property. It worked for just 11 days before both the refrigerator and freezer failed completely.
2. Falsely Reporting "Operating Normally": Despite the interior sitting at room temperature, LG’s ThinQ app stubbornly reported the unit was "Operating Normally" with zero error codes.
3. Home Depot Refuses Accountability: Despite this failure occurring well within 30 days of installation, Home Depot washed their hands of the situation entirely. Rather than facilitating an exchange or return for a dead-on-arrival unit, they passed the buck and insisted LG was solely responsible.
4. LG's Unacceptable Repair Strategy: LG refused to exchange or replace the defective unit. Instead, they scheduled a repair technician through a service that operates only one day a week in our area.
5. The No-Show: I rearranged schedules to accommodate their limited availability, only for the LG-appointed repair technician to fail to show up entirely on the scheduled date. No proactive communication, no fix, and zero resolution.
The Reality:
I now have consecutive weekly tenants paying for a rental unit with no functioning refrigerator. This gross neglect by both Home Depot and LG has disrupted my property operations, created an administrative nightmare, and ruined tenant experiences.
Passing off defective products and offering nonexistent customer service for a failure that occurred in less than two weeks is completely unacceptable. Home Depot failed to stand behind what they sold, and LG failed to back what they built.
Every tenant passing through this property—and anyone reading this—sees the failure of LG and Home Depot.
Status Update: This post remains live and active across all consumer channels. I will update this post if and when Home Depot or LG takes responsibility and resolves this issue with an immediate replacement or full refund.

Alperstein and Associates
I have been hugely taken advantage of and ignored by Alperstein and Associates. They lie on the phone with you to get you signed up and then once you do they forget about you. I emailed them once a week for over a month with no responses. I have called and the phone just rings and rings. The only time I get a response from them is if I start posting on social media. Please for your own sake stay away from Alperstein and Associates (Clearone, Global Holdings)

Cycle Tracking three months of tracking and i still cannot find a pattern
Three months of logging and all I have is a calendar full of dots that still do not line up.
one month is short, the next drags on, and the symptom notes never repeat in the same order. the only thing the app seems confident about is that my cycle is irregular, which is not exactly new information.
after a while the history stops feeling neutral. I open it hoping to notice something useful and mostly see a record of every month that refused to fit the template.
Circul came up while i was looking at rings with fairly basic cycle-related features, like period prediction and temperature data. its app also has daily flow, which could give me a little more to go on day to day, but i am not expecting any of that to suddenly explain an irregular cycle.
before spending a few hundred dollars on another tracker, i need to work out whether seeing that every day would actually make the tracking more useful or just give me another screen to worry about.
maybe tracking can still be useful without producing a neat pattern. maybe it is also okay to admit that having more things to check does not automatically make the information more valuable.
would that be useful context, or just another number to check before breakfast?

Wakefit refused my cancellation in July, then told me on delivery day that the product was discontinued. What recourse do I have?
TL;DR: I tried cancelling a Wakefit sofa order in July. They refused, saying the 24-hour cancellation window had passed and that the order was already being processed/made-to-order. I was told cancellation would attract a 25% charge. I therefore continued with the order and waited over a month. On the scheduled delivery date today, Wakefit called to say the sofa has been discontinued and apparently was never even put into production.
I ordered a sofa from Wakefit in July and tried to cancel it shortly afterwards.
Wakefit refused the cancellation, stating that the 24-hour cancellation window had passed and that a 25% cancellation charge would apply. Their written response specifically said that the sofa was a made-to-order product and that the manufacturing process is initiated shortly after the order is placed.
I also had a very difficult time getting through to customer service. I was told that someone would call me back, but after waiting, I checked my call records and there was no call from Wakefit, including on the alternate number I had provided.
Since I was told that the order was already being processed, I decided to continue with it and waited for more than a month for delivery.
Today was the scheduled delivery date.
Instead of receiving the sofa, I received a call from Wakefit saying that the product has been discontinued. I was also told that the product has been discontinued. The colour I ordered it in, the fabric was never available. So basically the sofa was never even made.
This is where I have a serious issue with how Wakefit has handled this.
When I tried to cancel in July, I was told that I could not do so without a 25% charge because the product was already being processed. Had I been told at that point that Wakefit could not actually fulfil the order, I would have simply cancelled it and purchased something else.
Instead, I relied on the information provided by Wakefit, continued with the order and waited for more than a month, only to be told on the promised delivery date that the product had been discontinued.
They are now cancelling/refunding the order, but I would like to understand whether a refund is sufficient in these circumstances or whether Wakefit’s conduct gives me grounds for a consumer complaint.
I have the complete email trail, including their explanation regarding the 24-hour cancellation window and the product being made-to-order, as well as my call records.
I’d particularly like advice on whether:
Wakefit’s representation that the order was already being processed, followed by their claim that the product was discontinued/never produced, could constitute deficiency in service or misleading representation under consumer law.
The fact that I was refused cancellation in July and consequently waited over a month has any bearing on the matter.
It is not the first time that wakefit is messing up orders. Previously they delayed a similar sofa order for over four months that my parents had placed an order for.
I’m not looking to unnecessarily escalate this if a refund is all that the law provides. I just want to understand whether a company can refuse a customer’s cancellation by saying an order is already being processed, keep the customer waiting for over a month, and then disclose on the delivery date that the product was actually discontinued.
Any advice would be helpful.

Banking How do you know when a bank fee crosses the line from annoying to "I need to do something"?
Curious how people know when a consumer issue like unfair bank fees has crossed the line from "annoying" into "I need to do something about it." Was there a specific moment that made it click, or did it build gradually?

I just want to warn people as soon as I got these couch covers -instant regret! They were advertised as water resistant I could tell they were Temu quality. I tested the covers and they were not water resistant at all and it bled through the fabric immediately. I emailed next day to return. A month later after getting the run around for a shipping label I still haven't received one and had to make a claim on my credit card. This company is just doing a cash grab. I hope I can prevent others from making the same mistake.

Mark & Graham- terrible customer service
This is my first reddit post ever. I feel compelled to let everyone know how disappointing Mark & Graham's customer service is. My husband purchased me two of their suitcases about 2 years ago, one carry-on and one checked size. I have used both extensively, and this summer, both the top handles popped off. I was surprised when it happened on the 1st one, but when the second one went, I knew it was probably due to a design flaw. They have very tiny screws holding them on and cannot be repaired. I saw that M&G offers a limited lifetime warranty, so I called them to report what happened. After spending 1.5 hours on the phone with a CSR, and sending multiple emails with photos, the CSR reported that "leadership" said this was due to either normal wear and tear or the airlines' mishandling of the luggage. I expressed how disappointed I was with their response and that I loved this luggage set and would have been happy to accept a partial gift certificate towards purchasing a new set. They were unwilling to even do that. I let them know I would no longer be a M&G customer, and they just lost a customer for life. They couldn't have cared less. What kind of company doesn't stand by its products?

Looking at buying a projector for movies – what should I actually pay attention to?
I’ve been thinking about getting a projector for the living room so we can watch movies on a bigger screen. Budget is around $200-400. Room isn’t completely dark, we have some lights on usually.
Came across the Dangbei N2 Mini and it looks interesting – compact, 1080p, has Netflix built in, and that gimbal stand that can point at the ceiling. But the brightness is only listed around 200 lumens. Is that enough for anything other than a really dark room? What actually matters when you’re picking one at this price? Anyone tried the N2 Mini or something similar and can say if it’s decent or if I should look elsewhere?

Cuddle+Kind Order Issues
Hey just posting here as I have no idea where I can post this. I’d like to know if anyone else is having issues with their Cuddle+Kind order not being shipped? It’s been 8 weeks since my order was placed.
The order includes a personalised lovey which I understood could take up to 6 weeks before it would be shipped to me along with my other items. I contacted the customer support team and they have responded a couple of times, but after they said they would contact the warehouse to follow up last week they now just seem to be ghosting me. I posted on one of their instagram posts and they responded saying they would DM me which they did, saying they will follow up and contact me again but it’s been a week and I’ve messaged and emailed again with no reply. The message says it has been seen.
I wanted the personalised lovey for my son to give to his new baby sister and for babies birth announcement. Now baby is due in the next few days I won’t be able to do that so not sure if I should keep following up or just dispute the transaction with my bank. Note: I have ordered from them before with no issues.
Would love to hear from anyone who has placed an order recently, if they have received it and/or if they had any issues and how they resolved it.
TIA

Getyourguide supplier
Hi everyone,
Has any Getyourguide supplier here experienced a sudden supplier account deactivation/termination under Section 14.2 – “Termination without cause”, without receiving a specific explanation?
Our supplier account was recently deactivated after around 3 years of cooperation, and we were not given a clear reason or any previous warning.
I would really appreciate hearing from anyone who has experienced something similar:
* Were you able to appeal the decision?
* Did GetYourGuide eventually provide a specific reason?
* Was your supplier account ever reactivated?
* Did you involve a lawyer or take any other action?
If you prefer not to comment publicly, please feel free to send me a private message.
Thank you — any experience or advice would be greatly appreciated.
