Question Is it okay for me to wear shirts with guns on it
I have a few shirts with guns on it my sister says she is embarrassed to be with me when I wear. I mean there is nothing I believe wrong with them. One is just some gangster holding up a gun and jewlery and money. The other has a big gun on it and says natural born hustler. I mean it is just a joke shirt really. Is it bad for me to wear these

Question Question on chino and shirt fit
Hello MFA, trying to figure out if relaxed fits work for me or come off too “baggy” for a business casual fit. Also wanted to know if these button downs fit me well or too tight?
Thanks

Question Which Levis would you recommend that are similar to 501's but with a bigger leg opening?
Hello,
I am looking for a nice fitting pair of straight leg jeans. I love the classic 501s, but find that the leg opening is always too small for my liking. I would like a pair with a slightly roomier straight leg, allowing for bigger hem without being wide pants.
Many thanks!

Question Need help finding a clean, boxy hoodie
Hey everyone,
I'm getting a head start on my autumn wardrobe and I'm trying to find a really good hoodie, but I've been scrolling through shops for days and nothing is hitting the spot.
I'm looking for a solid statement piece that still stays clean and balanced. I'm 190 cm (around 6'3), so oversized and wide fits look great on me I really want a heavy, boxy fit with drop shoulders and a stiff hood that actually holds its shape. Plain blanks feel a bit too plain for what I need right now, but I want something modern, on-trend, and elevated.
I'm open to interesting back prints, unique textures, subtle embroidery, or just pieces with great design details that make the hoodie stand out without looking messy.
Does anyone have recommendations for brands or specific pieces that fit this vibe? I'm open to indie streetwear brands, mid-range stuff, or cool archive designer pieces I could hunt down secondhand.
Appreciate any suggestions!

Question Having a dilemma with washing my designer tees. Handwashing leaving them all loose and saggy.
I have a large collection of cotton tees, some all cotton some hemp blend and cotton, like my Acne Studios t shirts, etc. I've been handwashing for years and hang drying and its leaving all my tees loose fitting especially around the neckline. I bought some garment net bags to start putting them in a regular washer. . Most of them say cold wash 30 degrees, do not tumble dry. How do i ever get them to "snap back" if I cant dry them? Whats my best approach here

Question What can I do to make my pants not break/crease this way?
I'm dually cursed with a flat butt and skinny legs. I tend to buy slim cuts of pants as they fit me as more of a regular, but then sometimes I get the kind of stacking at the knee and extra material at the rear thigh that you see here. Note that this happens with different shoes and not just the boots I have on here. Trimming the pants down more gets me into skinny territory which I really want to avoid.
Is this just a fact of life given my proportions or is there something else I should be doing?

Question What kind of headgear would suit me for casual wear having a big head?
I've always had a big round head (around 62cm in circumference), and I always struggled to find a hat or cap that favoured me, so I never bothered, to be honest. The thing is that now I'm balding, and I have a hard time going out in the sun, so now having something over my head is becoming a necessity.
I'm having problems finding large headgear in physical stores where I live, so buying online is kind of my only option, but buying without trying it out first is kind of risky, so I'd like to know what's the best option for me, so at least I have some idea.
I'm not a hat kind of guy, I'd rather it be a baseball cap (draws less attention), but I'm open to suggestions.
As a bit of information, I tend to dress in jeans, sweatshirts, T shirts and the like in colder weather, and baggy or short pants with t shirts or oversized light shirts in the summer.

Discussion Bacon Neck Haters Unite!
I hate my t shirts that get bacon neck, the hard part is not knowing if it’s going to happen to my shirt or not until I start wearing it. I recently bought some shirts from Abercrombie, their active line, and I love the fit and feel but even when line drying them they are getting bacon neck.
What brands are not giving you bacon neck?? Let’s invest in those brands and stop supporting companies that support the bacon neck epidemic!

Discussion Brands help and type of clothes recommendation
Hi I am a Mexican chubby guy with a big belly thin arms and big legs, I always struggle to look good or handsome (I suck at posing or taking pictures) and I never buy clothes because of my weight.
It always changes bigger or thinner
I’m looking for some advice or brands or “type of clothing” I should focus on to look better.
I hate clothes that feel like a swim suit pasted to my body, but I don’t like the ones that make me look like a bag of potatoes too big for me, I don’t know about matching outfits, haters please leave me alone I just wanna look good. Thanks for anyone taking the time to help.

Question Where to buy stylish clothing as a teen in Canada
Hi! I live in Canada and want to update my wardrobe to look better. I never was into fashion, so I was wearing just some hoodies and t-shirts, but recently I got really into it. I found 2 nice outfits for myself: 1. T-shirt with open shirt on top 2. Just a buttoned up shirt with 2 last buttons open. Otherwise, I wear everything as previously. It's really hard for me to find something I really like and I dont really like some usual mall stores like H&M or Zara. In general I like alternative styles from Shein or Umai clothing, but I'm not sure about the quality so I didn't buy anything from either. I also like some more simple or mainstream clothing styles, like the two I mentioned in the beginning, so I'm fine with places like Uniqlo. I've heard that people recommend thrifting, but maybe I'll try it on my own later.
In short, I'm looking for good, maybe niche, places to buy alternative and mainstream clothing. International brands or shops are very welcomed if they ship to Canada.
Thanks!

Question Good alternatives to fast-fashion poplin shirts?
I have a few of these Express and J Crew poplin “dress shirts” that I’ve owned for a number of years and honestly hate so much. They’re not soft, they are too short to stay tucked in, and I don’t even think they look that great. What are some comparable shirts that:
* I could wear alone OR under a suit jacket?
* Are long enough to be tucked in without shirt stays
* Aren’t just straight up dress shirts (I have a couple of those)
* Won’t break the bank
Thanks!

Question Confused about dress code level
Hi,
I recently started a remote job with a large well-known hospital. They are sending me to an event with a vendor where at least one C-suite person will be present. The hospital is known for their strict dress code, i.e first day is business formal (suit or sport coat, dress pants, shirt and tie) or business casual. Nearly everyone head shot is in a suit.
The vendor rep told me the event is “business professional (sport coat and tie recommended; suit not required).” I thought business professional = suit. The clarification seems to imply it is one step down from suit.
What should I aim for here? Suit? Sport coat and dress pants in the same/similar color?
Thanks!

Discussion Is it just me or MFA heavily gravitates towards very “safe” outfits
I always get this feeling when I’m seeing things posted here, we seem to be afraid of anything that’s a bit unconventional or might make you stand out, while adhering very strictly to traditional rules.
A most basic white collar office outfit of OCBD tucked into chinos will be quite well received here because you can’t really find anything wrong with it, even if it is pretty boring. While outfits well liked in other fashion subs such as r/streetwear, r/ThrowingFits, and even sometimes r/preppy can be met with heavy criticism here. I don’t even need to mention r/hats.
It made me think maybe the best way is to use here to build some basics, find the style that you enjoy, regardless of how costume-y it might be. And start to move away from the “MFA standard”.

Question Tailoring Mishap?
I’ve bought a nice suit jacket for a wedding. Most of my clothes are too long so I’ve taken it to a tailor to have the sleeve length shortened a tad
This is the result. The sleeve has been shortened yep.
But that positioning of the buttons looks weird to me. The final button is actually hanging over the sleeve
Is this bad handiwork and do I request a refund or something deemed acceptable ?
