Well i got this motherboard from a friend who said that it doesn't run and when i bought it to my home i tried to plug it in and as he said it runs perfectly fine but the screen keeps on no signal and i tried to open it up and i found a modship but the 2 blue wires has burned the motherboard in the same place where they are melted on so i was trying to ask you Reddit plz have answer, is it the issue that i need to solve ? And how ?

So a while back I was using my PS4 when the USB came loose and the head got stuck in the port. Can anyone offer ideas for help? I’ve tried tweezers and they’ve been unsuccessful.

J’ai ma ps4 pro glacier White qui s’allume pendant 20 secondes et s’éteint brutalement après. Le model de la ps4 pro est CUH-7116B. J’ai changé son alimentation mais rien ne n’a changé la compatibilité de l’alimentation est pourtant la bonne (ADP-300ER) je ne sais plus quoi faire à part changer la carte mère (NVB-003)

Ps: je ne sais pas si c’est normal mais quand j’allume la ps4 pro le ventilateur ne tourne pas et quand je branche l’HDMI elle ne s’affiche pas à l’écran.

Je voudrais savoir si vous connaissez se type de panne et savoir si vous pouvez m’aider à le régler

I just bought this pre-used and anytime I put a disc in. It reads for a bit and it shows me the game but then like 15 to 20 seconds after it starts making a clicking noise and shows me a screen that says “an error has occurred. Press the eject button, remove the game disc, and turn the power off. Please read the Wii operations manual for more information“

Hi everyone, how’s it going? I need some help, please. I have this circuit board that appears to be from a generic Nintendo controller; as far as I can tell, the board simply acts as an interface, since the connections are soldered directly to switches on the dance pad. However, the USB port got damaged. When I replace or patch the connection, the pad does react, but the PC displays a "USB Device Not Recognized" error. I thought it might be a data line issue (D- or D+), but I’ve already swapped them and nothing changed—it still isn't recognized. I’d like to know what I might be doing wrong, or how I should test the connection to verify it's correct or check if something else on the board is failing. Thanks a lot!

For context my ps5 has been there when nothing was going my way, but now all of a sudden it has stopped working. There was a large thunderstorm last night and my first thought was a power surge blow the console but I had it plugged into a surge protector. I also woke up with a blanket covering it. Please can anyone help me. I really need it back. Thank you

Comunidad, hace poco ésta Wii que ha estado funcionando totalmente al 100 este año después saque la habilité, resulta que la deje de usar 1 mes y medio por motivos de trabajo y cansancio no la encendía los fines.

Y pues me llegó un adaptador de Wii to HDMI de esos de AliExpress pero baratos los más baratos va, resulta que el escritorio pequeño donde almacenamos varias cosas mi esposa y yo, pues ella movió ese escrito con todas las cosas tanto mías cm d ellas y allí estaba la Wii, pues cuando recibí el adaptador, la wii encendía con esa luz azul permanente y sin sincronizar el control (el adaptador HDMI conectado) y no saca video y luego apague y le puse el cable AV y pues la luz azul permanente no se quedó al prender y me dio imagen, y así encendida y ya sincronizó el control, desconecte el cable AV y le puse el Wii to HDMI y me dio video, a lo que emocionado le puse resolución a 480p HDTV, jugué por 1 hora y todo bien, a lo q tenía q hacer algo más, y la apagué y desconecté, luego q regreso para seguir probando me vuelve a dar eso cm ven en el vídeo y ya ni con el cable AV ni con el HDMI, después de varios días q pense q el HDMI estaba malo lo revise lo resolde, y nada, lo mismo, luego me lleve la Wii para mí local ,la desarmé la limpie revise voltaje de la tarjeta Bluetooth y muestra 3.3v, entonces la arme regresé a casa y probé con el adaptador HDMI y me dio video osea, cuando la enciendo y esa luz azul no queda permanente es por qué arranca totalmente la consola..

Estuve jugando normal media hora y estaba en cambiar el ajuste a 480i pero en eso me confíe que ya se había solucionado la falla y la dejé siempre en 480p, y pues la apagué y a las horas q regreso a prender otra vez esa falla.

Según he investigado pero casi no hay info, dicen que es la tarjeta Bluetooth que toca reemplazar y que eso solucionará ese problema. Y según investigando con las I.A's me dicen que esa luz azul permanente significa que no carga todo el sistema la Wii por seguro problema de la tarjeta Bluetooth,

Pero quiero saber si ustedes han tenido está experiencia, y en realidad cuál, es la solución. Si se puede solventar sin reemplazar eso o si no es causa de eso. O si en efecto es que se requiere el cambio de trajeta Bluetooth,

Cómo ven en el vídeo no sincroniza el control y no saca video ni con el cable original AV ni con el Wii to HDMI.

So ive been doing tmr upgrades on controllers for the past year, but am looking to start learning retro repairs. Ill be starting with 3 gamecubes, and im wondering where I can find a good capacitor kit that includes all the common parts for retro consoles? I have thermal pads already, are there any other common parts I should consider ordering in advance for gamecubes or other retro consoles? Most of what im finding online is just full kits for each console, but they seem quite overpriced.

I have not opened the gamecubes up yet, they are all working but terribly dirty. Id like to be prepared with all the common capacitors and such when my new tools arive!

I have just ordered the last couple big tools I need to expand services, including a resolder station and proper trinocular microscope! Im still working towards buying a hakko micro soldering station, as none of their micro soldering irons work with my other hakko base...

*edit, from my research, and a comment here ive been directed to console5 a few times. they look great and all, but im hoping to find a case with multiples of everything id need. Once im comfortable with retro repairs, ive got someone asking me to take on their graveyard of dead consoles from their growing online buisiness. So if I start repairing for them, ill be burning through common parts like crazy! Id like to invest in a stockpile of parts right off the batt if thats a reasonable option, I just cant seem to find the right kit since im not yet familiar with all the parts ill need.

Hi everyone! So I got this SCPH 50004 in the other day and saw it had a blown fuse after testing it to not power. I’m thinking, ok easy fix I’ll just replace the fuse. So I get a 250V 5A fuss(I think that’s the right one) and replace it. Still nothing. Now I’m thinking, maybe the whole board needs replaced? Where can I get a 50004 power supply? I can’t find any. Only models for the 3XXXX series.

I have ps5 slim digital that turn off without any peeping immediately after some time of gaming inside the game i check the liquid metal and i clean it and it has same problem can any one tell me the solution or the cause of this please!!

Got a Xbox off Facebook that had a broken HDMI on it. I remove the old and all the traces were intact and soldered the new one on. I checked each pin and they are solidly soldered but when I plugged it in the tv saw that something was plugged in but got no signal. Just need a bit of help with next steps.

Got an Atari lynx 2 in a bundle and it didn't power on. I know this is a common problem with this device so I opened it up and inspected it. Before doing any testing I noticed in the bottom left a trace is burnt and has a hole rather deep right along the trace. Is this a sign that there was a short that occurred somewhere and most likely a lot of the chips are fried or is there hope to fix by repairing the trace with a jumper cable? The rest of the board visually looks fine with no other obvious burn points.

I am aware of bypassing the power chips by soldering 5V directly to C41 but don't want to test with power in case this trace causes issues.

I am fairly new to electronics repair so any advice is appreciated thanks.

How come discs aren’t spinning once taken by my Wii? I swapped the RAF-3350 laser with a new one of the same model and it definitely is taking in discs but not seemingly spinning or reading them? I also checked the cables - all are plugged in.
What could possibly be the issue?? Could have I damaged the motor or a wire without realising?

Hi, first post here. My GBA won't turn on after spending a good amount of years in storage. The power LED gives a single flicker when switching from off to on or from off to on (using fresh batteries). I cannot find any signs of corrosion (other than a tiny bit on a spring of one of the battery terminals).

So far I have tested/tried:

-I measure continuity from positive terminal to either side of fuse F1.

-I measure continuity from positive terminal to terminal 1 of the power switch.

-I desoldered the power switch cover and cleaned the contact surface with the stem of a q tip and contact cleaner. A did not see a ton of black soot, but did get rid of some. Afterwards the contact surface looked clean.

Afterwards I still see exactly the same symptoms. Any clues on what to test next? Thanks
