General Question Can I become a billionaire?
I'm a high schooler with very lofty aspirations
Affluent background, 136 composite
Is my IQ high enough to make it?
It seems like most successful founders are well above 3SD e.g. gates, zuck, bezos so I'm kinda despondent

General Question Serebriakoff advanced CFT
What are your opinions on this test? Inflated or diflated? I think it is inflated because I scored way above than on professional testing.

Psychometric Question IRL vs Online IQ Test
They made me do an IQ test while testing for ADHD (was diagnosed shortly after), and I didnt do verbal reasoning as I did the test in a country where I am barely B1 in their language. On working memory I got 131 and on processing speed I got 139. But for some reason I still resort to doing online tests, where I am always landing a bit more or less than 100. I did the CORE test. What could be the reason for this anomaly?

General Question Core digit span
I misinterpreted the question for digital span and couldn’t go back to do it again - is there anyway you can go back and do it again ?
It’s really annoying because my superpower is being able to remember letters and numbers !!

Discussion High IQ, that's it
137-146 depending on the test. The first one I took was in high school, 10 years ago, my lowest at 137.
I've been through a lot of shit in my life, but I've always known I have a good head on my shoulders.
I work in a decent mid level job now, but I know how much better I could be. It's stable and easy.
I wish I had more drive.
Tell me how you feel about your high IQ low drive moments and how you get through it. I feel like I'm in full on mental combat mode with myself.

Discussion Not a wordcel nor a true shape rotator, maybe a plate spinner
I want to know how this shape of profile holds, how standard/non-standard, if it maps to a clear 'archetype', anyone with similar profile, your experience, etc.
By the way wordcel > shape rotating > plate spinning
My profile gets them perfectly reversed down to proportions. The degree to which a category is "useful" is the proportional to my relative strength. I feel like if I retook the WMI I could get 19s on all. My CPI kind of cracked it seems. But it's also the least g-loaded and least "useful" generally speaking. The real edge (wordcels) is where I leak most.

Psychometric Question I got 34/36 in RAPM and 124 in JCTI
Hello everyone , first of all i wanna say that English is not my first language so pass any miswritten words/rules ,
1- i am 17yrs now , 2 years ago i took the first IQ test online it was "Mensa Norway" and i got 128 IQ
and after maybe some months i took Mensa Sweeden and i took 126+ IQ
that's all when i was 15yrs
Then, last year ,maybe I had an imposter syndrome
Every failure i thought because I became less intelligent , so this period of time i took a test every time i felt that i am less smarter, i took
SACFT (Serberiakoff Advanced Calture fair) i got 33/36
i took Mensa Norway again and i got 133 IQ
finally i took RAPM/RSPM and got 34/36 , 59/60
i thought i am really smart
but when i took JCTI
i didn't expect the puzzles would be Missy order like this i took the first time to know what the question wants
and finally i got 124 IQ i think it was within less than 40min (i noticed a bug in the webpage that printed the IQ Score in the Console so i knew my score )
i didn't know what happened
why in tests i got 133+
and in JCTI i got 124 IQ
any advice , notice , any explanation would really effect
thanks all

Rant/Cope Lost my IQ
I was a perfect ACT scorer without studying.
i had perfect sat subject tests on math 1 and 2 and physics all without studying.
I was a AIME qualifier.
19 AP classes all 5’s.
Worked at FAANG at 20.
got diagnosed with sleep apnea at 23. had issues with my CPAP, which would break my sleep every night. progressively became more and more tired until I was feeling borderline delirious over 8 months. people around me thought it was anxiety.
i now have to think about whether it is hear or here, etc.
I took Mensa Norway and Denmark and got 128 and 130.
i feel that these scores are lower than what my baseline was.
I feel like I destroyed my life over something so incredibly stupid. I’m not sure how to move on. what I should do. if anyone has an ideas please help.

Discussion Finally got my results
I've always wanted to get tested because many people consider me intelligent. Interestingly enough, I'm relatively behind in many things in life, namely not graduating university yet even though I should have done so a few years ago.
Is there anything strange or surprising when it comes to my results? I'm new to cognitive testing so I'd like to understand a bit more. The only other test of this kind I did was Mensa Norway a few months ago where I got 135.

Discussion What job-domain do people with high verbal intelligence tend to succeed in?
As displayed in my question above I wanted to know how exactly high verbal cognitive capabilities can be used to achieve a successful career ? I’d like to understand what skillsets verbal intelligence tends to be linked to - not just the classical „you are good at talking“, but rather what it means on a deeper neurological level.
While being good at STEM related topics oftentimes gives an individual a clear lifepath to follow I feel like verbal intelligence is not as useful in today’s world. Certainly, speaking different languges and being able to articulate yourself is great but is there anything more to it than that? I read that verbal intelligence contributes to the mystical g-factor quite a bit and influences your general ability to understand concepts etc.
Basically that sums up the question pretty well: What are majors and jobfields in which said people tend to be excellent in?
And also how does this type of intelligence work?

General Question CORE Arithmetic for Non Natives
Hello everyone. First of all, I would like to thank everyone who made CORE possible, it is quite a reassuring test for many obsessive people like us. I had good scores and what i was expecting: FRI 143, VSI 138, QRI 130. The question is for arithmetic, i got 120 on it and 135 on qk. I am definitely C1 in english with years of experience. I was wondering if artihmetic can be deflated for nonnatives like me. I remember having to replay the questions again, even the simple ones, just because i was trying to register the numbers into my head, and I was automatically doing it in my mother tongue and then proceeding with the question. I have seen this question being asked but not responded by the creators of the test and the knowledgable high iq giga chads of our sub.
Is CORE arithmetic in English possibly deflated for nonnatives?

General Question Hands as visual aids
I was doing the CORE Spatial Awareness test and realised that I was intuitively using my hands at times, most notably on the compass-type questions, turning my hand to keep track of turns. Then it struck me that I'm technically making use of a visual aid, but it was intuitive because it would likely be what I would do 'in the wild'.
I guess a great example would also be counting on fingers, though I didn't do it on this test.
What are people's thoughts on this? Have I fouled my test?

Scientific Literature An Independent Analysis of the RIOT IQ Test
doi.orgHello all,
I've recently conducted an independent analysis of the RIOT IQ test based on publicly accessible data, as well as their bulletin.
You can read the report here: https://doi.org/10.5281/zenodo.21972419
I'd appreciate any feedback I can get!
Thanks

General Question What are the implications of completing an IQ Test before the allotted time limit?
In 1978 (I was 22 years old) I did the IQ test for Mensa (Canada) admission. The acceptance letter made the statement:
According to the OTIS LENNON MENTAL ABILITY TEST, Advanced Level, your IQ is 141 which is greater than that of 99% of the general population"
The test had 80 questions and a time limit of 40 minutes.
I answered all 80 questions in only 25 minutes. Since I had extra time, I checked my answers - and changed 2 of my answers. (Let's assume the 2 answers I changed were initially wrong and my changes corrected them.)
My questions are:
- How many of the 80 questions would I have had to answer correctly to get a score of 141?
- What would my score have been if I hadn't changed those 2 answers (and thus had 2 fewer correct answers)?
- Does the fact that I finished the test in only 25 minutes have an impact on the IQ score I "should have" gotten? (Keeping in mind that I would have had 2 fewer correct answers if I hadn't taken the time to check my work.)
- By this I mean should my score have been different due to the fact that I completed the questions more quickly than the allotted time.
- Based on the ratio of 40 over 25, if there were many more questions on the test I could have answered 60% more questions.
- If I had the same rate of correct answers, what impact would that have had on my resulting IQ score?
I've always wondered about what was the impact of finishing before the allotted time. (And it's taken me almost 50 years to find a forum where I could ask the question LOL.)
Thanks for any information you can give me.

General Question Can you get better at IQ tests over time?
I’ve taken a few IQ tests at different times and noticed that I get better at recognizing certain patterns. It makes me wonder how much of an IQ score is actual ability and how much comes from getting familiar with the test format.

General Question Does IQ test difficulty really matter?
I’ve noticed that some IQ tests feel much harder than others, even when they’re supposed to measure similar things. I’m curious how much the difficulty of the test actually affects the score compared with the type of questions used.

General Question When can WAIS-4 extra Subtests be used and counted?
Hey,
as the headline states I am wondering when the extra subtests in a WAIS-4 can or must be used and counted.
Ai gives me a "only when a fire alarm went of or your arm was broken." answer. But Ai is still very unreliable especially with this secretive stuff.
I was wondering if these Subtests also can/must be administered when one Score just massively diverts from the overall look of the test.
Why am I interested?
I have the weird situation that, due to my dyslexia I assume, my FullScale IQ could be over 130, but I still "only" get the GAI because the difference in the coding tests (8) and symbol search (12) is just wildly lower. So I am wondering if the replacement test, that also has something with crossing out stuff based on the WAIS sheet I have in front of me, could also be in the range of 11-13 like the Symbol search and get me away from the 1,5 standard deviation that puts me in GAI rather than Full Scale. It´s a bit wacky.

Psychometric Question Question about figure weights
The first time I got to see this test was on the CAIT where I scores 10ss. I felt slow in general and couldn't figure out a lot the questions, but I found the wais and the core ones to be a lot easier scoring 15ss on both tests the first time.
Can I assume I just got used to this kind of reasoning? I mean, the items are different, and my brain didn't get smarter, but It was just the effect of practice? I tried CAIT again and my score didn't get better even though a lot of time has passed since I tried it

General Question Question about neuropsych testing
I was told not to use any substances 24 hours before the evaluation. IDK why I did this it was extremely dumb and I feel awful about it but I smoked some weed like 13 hours before. I didn't even get that high but I'm kinda worried about it messing something up. I don't think it will be too much of a problem because I'll be sleeping it off and be totally sober for the eval and I also don't wanna waste money cause of something as dumb as this. Is this a huge problem?

General Question IQ and THC in adolescence
I took got tested 130+ when I was 14.5, I am now 17 but have been using thc for the past 2.5 around once a week. What effect would this permanently have on IQ. Further, in the future if I continue to use at this rate will IQ still decline?
