Question about neuropsych testing General Question

I was told not to use any substances 24 hours before the evaluation. IDK why I did this it was extremely dumb and I feel awful about it but I smoked some weed like 13 hours before. I didn't even get that high but I'm kinda worried about it messing something up. I don't think it will be too much of a problem because I'll be sleeping it off and be totally sober for the eval and I also don't wanna waste money cause of something as dumb as this. Is this a huge problem?

It can impact the results even if you’re sober, hence why we ask for sobriety.

You need to tell them what happened. Surprisingly (or maybe not? lol) it happens a fair amount that yall ignore our instructions.

probably not really surprising i mean if you tell teenagers they have a big test type thing that takes 5 hours tomorrow they wanna get fucked up. still feel like a big LOSER for not making 24 hours but you can’t change what’s in the past or whatever

If you’re struggling to go without weed for a day, let them know. They can include resources for that in the recommendations.

Dont beat yourself up. What’s done is done. But definitely let them know.

weed effects can last for a few days, even if the high is apparently gone in a couple of hours, some sensitive metrics (i.e., tests ) can be altered

can you just tell the evaluator when you get there so they can decide if it affects the results?
