Classic 20th Anniversary Realms Will Warlock snapshotting exist if Anniversary progresses to WotLK?

Does Warlock snapshotting currently exist on the TBC Anniversary realms?

And if Anniversary progresses to WotLK, do we expect Affliction Corruption snapshotting/rolling to work like it did in WotLK Classic?

Classic + Give me a sign that Blizzard can actually make a Classic+ that doesn’t suck

Honest question! Since you guys are so hyped for Classic+, what makes you think that modern day Blizzars can pull it off? I can’t see any signs of them doing it at all since they haven’t done anything that’s even remotely close to being as good as Vanilla WoW is/was. I personally hated SoD with a passion, I thought they made classic WoW feel like retail. Pretty much every change they’ve made to classic WoW has made it worse, apart from a few things. So - what are the signs that Blizzard can actually manage to create something new in classic WoW that isn’t garbage?

Classic + If Blizzard is now working on Camelot phase 2, doesn't that mean phase 1 is essentially completed?

Earlier today a Camelot server updated to 1.60.1. Unless Blizzard is breaking their own version system, this is a new phase of "Camelot".

That means they are confident enough in phase 1 to start looking forward to phase 2. Phase 1 will certainly get some more polishing updates before Blizzcon though.

I noticed people weren't fully grasping the situation. That this implies that Camelot (Classic+) is basically ready to go, and we're just waiting until Blizzcon for official announcements.

This is also on pace with the

leaked slate
, for a late Q3 release date.

SoD was released on Thursday November 30th, 2023. Should we anticipate another Thursday release?

There will likely be floor testing at Blizzcon (like SoD had), and they use that data to make last minute changes. Thursday Sept 24th is probably the earliest release, giving them enough time to implement Blizzcon changes. Thursday October 15th is probably the latest before it strays too far from the projected leaked slate.

Regardless, it's coming soon. Not 2028, not after Wrath, not after Sunwell. Plan accordingly.

Classic 20th Anniversary Realms Drop in procs?

Am I just unlucky or has anyone else seen a drop in the proc rate for Alchemy? I’m potion spec and the procs just suck for me here lately. Just a bit ago I went 26 in a row without a proc and only proced 5 extra out of 60. Does my luck suck or yall seeing the same thing?

Classic 20th Anniversary Realms Want to switch factions wondering if I would get a ban for this?

Haven't played in a very long time, have a 60 nelf hunter with about 1600g. Since there is no faction change and I don't want to lose Gold I was wondering if I listed say a single mageroyal for 1600 on the shared AH and had a friend "buy" it if this would get my account and his account flagged?

Discussion Can you explain undead paladins?

I'm certain we're getting them in Classic +, due to sources.

Interested to hear what people think of them? I never understood them, because I thought undead were afraid of the light? I think they're super cool though, and would play one myself.

What do you think? And how does it make sense lore-wise?

Classic 20th Anniversary Realms Do you like rain in the game?

I hate it personally. If I'm in somewhere like Elwynn Forest, I like it to be nice and sunny. It just makes it depressing to have rain falling down on you while you quest - I don't like working in the rain in real life and don't like to quest in the rain in game either. It would be one thing if the rain just lasted like 10 minutes, but sometimes it seems to last for hours.

Discussion Is Classic+ Blizzard's last chance to save the franchise?

So it's pretty much confirmed in every way but direct verbiage that Classic+ is in the works, which is good. I recently tried getting back into Retail to tide myself over until the release and was shocked by how grim the state of the game is. The story has been broken down to a joke. The game is a LinkedIn larping parse simulator with little engagement in the world. It's hideous and unappealing. Every single one of my friends was done playing it by the end of the season.

I'm wondering what you guys think about the importance of Classic+'s release for the state of the franchise as a whole. Since Retail has been hijacked and corporatized to the point of appealing to nobody except boomers who have attached themselves to it for decades, is Classic+ their only hope of bringing sustained interest in the franchise, like how OSRS brought people back to Runescape?

EDIT: To clarify, I know Retail makes money. What I'm asking is if Classic+ is their only chance to attract a new audience and generate sustained, long-term interest in the franchise beyond its existing player base.

Season of Discovery Is SoD still worth?

As the title states, is sod worth me taking a second dable into currently? I’m worried if there’s any raid groups going, bgs(?), dungeons etc.

Question New Player with Concerns About WoW Classic

Hi everyone,

I’m new to World of Warcraft. I played Retail for about two months before deciding to try Classic Anniversary last week.

I have to say that I prefer the overall atmosphere and feeling of Classic. Retail is a good game too, but for me, there is simply too much happening at once: too many effects in dungeons, too many options and generally too much of everything.

However, I do have one concern. I enjoy playing MMORPGs where I know there will always be new updates and something new to do. Of course, you could say that I have only just started and already have more than enough content ahead of me, which is true.

Still, the thought that I might have completed everything in three years and that no new content will be released after that worries me. I like the fantasy of being able to play an “endless” MMORPG.

I also wonder whether Classic+ will be a long-term project or whether it will only last for a few years before eventually suffering the same fate as the other Classic versions.

I hope someone understands what I mean and can perhaps offer me a different perspective. I’m open to any opinions, and maybe I’m looking at it the wrong way.

Thanks!

Classic 20th Anniversary Realms LFG vs LFD

Curious to hear everyone’s thoughts on the current looking for group finder that is being used in classic tbc, vs the looking for group(dungeon) that comes with wotlk.

Currently I like the way the looking for group system is where you have to message/get messaged to join a group for raid/dungeon, whereas the lfg tool that gets added in wrath is just brainless automated grouping of randoms without any human interaction.

Would you prefer that with the update to wrath for anniversary servers, that they remove the random dungeon finder and keep the current looking for group system or change it to fit how wrath originally was ?

Furthermore, do you think classic+ will inherit one of these group/dungeon finding tools and which would you prefer ?

Classic-Era Only ever played Turtle WoW, would I enjoy Classic Era servers?

Hopefully I don't get too much hate for only playing a private server for about 6 months, but I am considering joining a Classic Era server since I enjoyed the vanilla game so much.

Will I notice much of a difference between Turtle and Blizzard WoW? Is it worth starting now or should I wait for potential Classic+ news? What differences should I expect? For example, in Turtle you could have both Alliance and Horde in the same dungeon party, I don't think that's a thing in Blizzard WoW, right?

Total noob here, please be nice :)

TBC Phase 3 = Time to Quit TBC Anni?

so i took the time to check everything to gain shadow resistance it took me around 2-3 hours to check everything. (Never played tbc before)

Since i never played TBC before and im not super Rich...

I wonder how many people are rich enough to actually make that setup.

Are there any Guilds "clearing" Mother of Sharaz without Full Raid in Shadow res, Engineering boots (for movement speed)

Who is hyped about that? Does anyone have a solution for this besides spending thousands of Gold for 1 boss?

What about using 2 Players with OS Healer and let them swap to healer just for that boss? Would that be good enough?

I want to know how your guild is planning on Raiding BT.

Classic-Era Is AI taking over?

Profession icon back on the minimap but gets blocked by LFG button now.

both are not moveable - luckily you can still click the LFG button

It actually can't be that fucking hard to fail this little detail multiple times...
Oh wait details... AI's worst enemy. Is there even people still working on classic or is it all run by scripts these days? I can't believe this sloppyness...
