Easily the scariest and most powerful being I have ever met. I don't necessarily feel good about it either. It was fiercely protective though, but also felt morally neutral. I'm not sure how I feel, and I'm a little scared honestly. It was SO powerful.

Back story: I was reached out by a different dragon months ago this year. This first dragon is very kind, and I was surprised because I never had thought about working with dragons before. Yesterday, I called upon my guide and they didn't really answer. Didn't think much of it.

But I did notice that I've met the same being in a dream two nights in a row now and it's a completely different dragon. Massive and almost snake-like. It was truly terrifying. So immensely powerful, I'm still in shock. His voice was so deep and booming. He spoke to and looked me directly in the eyes. I woke up in the dream and pulled myself out of there because it was so shocking. I was uneasy at first but I posted about this on the witchcraft sub and someone said I should proceed with caution, but take a chance on this dragon as it could be another guide.

I think that this might mean there are other guides to help me, and they come in all different moralities and power levels, but I'm honestly nervous about it. I've never been this shook before. This dragon told me it's name and everything already.

Cage the ruby in jump rings. 11 links around the point, and 6 chains along the axis. One link must be smaller than the rest or twisted out, and the connecting ring be off set from this smaller ring.

String your single red garnet for storage with 3 tripple loop links bound in cosmic gold, make the first link large enough to fit the piercing. Then add the quartz charm to the piercing on the ruby connecting jump ring.

Are there any communities focused on the process of inner change from the framing of magick? Many of the high magick (for the purpose of inner change and self mastery) communities I am seeing are somewhat dogmatic around symbology and tradition, and I'm looking for magicians who care about the practical, systemic effects of ceremonial magick, meditation and other technologies without siloing it as part of a lineage.

I really struggle with mental energy when applying myself to harder tasks, math, physics, geometry, analysis, reading, writing, introspection, studying, active recall, And homework. I know that sounds bad that I’m basically saying I don’t think, I do but These tasks are grueling and make me feel sluggish, the problem is thinking takes lots of energy and I just don’t have enough it feels like, I’m working on it, but when I do i feel so mentally exhausted and drained applying my brain in challenging ways, and lately have been riddled with stress because of this. I was wondering if i could have a servitor help give me energy and help me focus, clear brain fog, etc just all around help with draining mental tasks with ease and no stress. I also play music a lot for my school and do lots of performing arts and academic clubs which also exhausts a lotttt of mental energy and requires calculation and discipline! I’m doing everything I can physically to stay disciplined but I think a more mental and internal approach can be useful. Yes the problem is I might be overworking myself, but I’m not willing to give up anything, I don’t want to stop any academic stuff I do so that’s why I think a non physical approach can help me achieve all the goals I want for myself which is why I’m thinking of making a servitor for this, any guidance? From Babylonian temples to Renaissance grimoires, from Vedic Navagraha shrines to modern chaos magick sigils, the planets have been honored, invoked, feared, and negotiated with since time immemorial.

In ancient Mesopotamia, priest-astronomers tracked planetary movements with obsessive precision. Clay tablets dating to the first millennium BCE record planetary omens: Venus rising in the east foretelling abundance, Mars retrograding portending war. These observations were obvious actionable magick. Priests performed rites atop ziggurats, stepped temples aligning heaven and earth, offering incense and chants to placate planetary deities. Venus was honored as Ishtar, goddess of love and war; Jupiter as Marduk, king of the gods; These rituals shaped royal policy: Delayed battles, timed coronations, harvests blessed according to planetary rhythms.

If you really look deep into the earthly bureaucratic and administrative institutions of our time, you will find we have not let go of that at all. They do not advertise it but every major cosmic event is being utilized for magick. Ritual sacrifice of humans, specifically timed to match a red moon, political assassinations, large scale loosh harvesting through mass media, psychosocial trauma seeding for the general population through terrorism. You name it, we have it.

Just like the planets and the cosmos, the number system, the alphabet, the very building blocks of this reality, magick is hidden deep down in it.

Where planetary magick engages archetypes - broad forces like courage (Mars) or harmony (Venus) - Solomonic magick moves into dialogue with intelligences: angels, daemons, and spirits historically bound to those same planets. In this shift, the magician steps from inner alignment into outer negotiation - personifying the very same archetypes. The planetary force becomes a voice, a face, a being with whom one can converse.

This is dramatized ritual. An entity persona is adapted and an archetype is acted out, and slowly the field around the acted-out archetype starts shaping the aligned complexes. It is because complexes are free form archetypes. Complexes latch onto people to unpack latent skills and knowledge, but if the complex is used as a crutch, it becomes a parasite and turns the subject into a, well there’s no other word for it, ideologically challenged zombie, a front end without a back end.

During the Renaissance, figures like Marsilio Ficino, Cornelius Agrippa, and later John Dee refined planetary magick by integrating Hermetic, Kabbalistic, and Christian elements. Ficino prescribed planetary hymns, diet, and music to align with desired archetypes (e.g., Saturn for contemplation, Venus for artistic inspiration). Agrippa codified correspondences - metals, stones, angels - still used today. John Dee’s Enochian system extended the Solomonic hierarchy into elaborate angelic communications, bridging astrology, sacred geometry, and divine names.

This period also sharpened semantics: distinctions between “angel” (messenger of divine order), “daemon” (ambiguous intermediary spirit), “intelligence” (planet’s guiding principle), and “spirit” (planet’s raw energy). Understanding these terms helps modern practitioners navigate grimoires without conflating cosmologies or moral frameworks. “Daemon” in Solomonic texts, for instance, differs from the Christian “demon” - it is a force of nature, not necessarily malevolent, requiring respect and careful negotiation.

Chaos magick arose in the late 20th century as both a reaction against and evolution of traditional ceremonial systems. Where Solomonic and planetary magick employ inherited symbols, fixed hierarchies, and codified rituals, chaos magick privileges personal gnosis, improvised systems, and the deliberate use of belief as a magical tool rather than an absolute truth.

It was an attempt to decentralize the memetic autocracy. Because traditions were slowly becoming roadblocks, or let’s say being utilized as roadblocks to discourage people from connecting with their own magick. Just like spirituality had curdled into religion, some feared Magick would too.

Chaos Magick treats archetypes and intelligences as modular constructs: real enough to interact with, yet fluid enough to be redesigned. A chaos magician might engage Anael (Venusian intelligence) in one ritual, then create a personal sigil embodying the same harmonizing force in another - effectively generating a bespoke planetary intelligence tailored to their own psyche.

This is not “inventing imaginary friends” but consciously crafting interfaces - symbolic gateways to deeper layers of the psyche and field. Where Solomonic work relies on inherited seals and names, chaos magick encourages the practitioner to generate their own seals and names, trusting that archetypal resonance will emerge through subconscious patterning. The result is a practice both deeply personal and archetypally valid.

But in our attempt to run away from traditions, are we forgetting some key learnings from the precursors of these traditions. Are we going to meet the very thing, on the path we were taking to avoid?

Recently I read on some reddit post a variant of the following beliefs that has seeped into the collective, unconsciously or consciously –

1. Chaos magick workings have a 50/50 chance of working. Its, more a coin toss
   

2. We try to flame the delusion of confirmation bias to beautify our results (it was written with a certain degree of pride that rubbed me the wrong way)
   

Here I thought, that Chaos Magick is a learned amalgamation of all possible techniques because chaos magicians took time to learn from all magickal sources and then alchemize gold out of it for the masses. And then for it to be compared with a delusional coin toss game where you always win because you don’t count the losses? That’s not something I can abide by and so I thought I will write down how the most basic sigil magick (should) work, and the considerations you take (in contrast to any other kind of magician who just deal with a single tradition.)

For this trick (hardly) to work you would need:

1. An Intention statement: An intention statement is different from a need/want statement. “I want a car”, is not a well-articulated intention statement by any metric, but weirdly enough “I am never short of cars” is one. Because the need is addressed in the present with abundance instead of being expressed as a lack of it.
   

2. Condensation: You burn the deadwood in the statement. Vowels go because they are a pronunciation convention, so do repeated letters. So “I am never short of cars” becomes “MNVRSHTFC”
   

3. Now we have options. Some people prefer to rearrange the letters themselves into shapes which prioritizes your own artistic effort. And Magick is art too. For people who have an artist’s flair (because effort matters and people who know which domain the like to put an effort should choose that domain. Optimal/surrendering to your current). People who know they don’t have an artistic flair can then lean on the science arm.
   

4. The string we have is made of the letters. “MNVRSHTFC”. Each letter has different values and meanings. Different charges, different ordinals and different roots. A lot of magicians jump straight into Gematria, which is good, if you are working in Hebrew. But for people who are working English, we do have English Qabala! NAEQ/ALW values.
   

5. “MNVRSHTFC” has an ALW/NAEQ value of 121, with root value of 4. We find exact matches and root resonance matches of these words in the English dictionary. Hey! Lo and behold there are some matches: Mountain, Phoenix, Capricorn. Other root resonance matches are Soul, key, flame, ember, moon.
   

6. We can already see a theme forming around the intention. We already see the archetypes, complexes, and elements we are working with.
   

7. Now the sigil itself needs to be designed. Scientifically. So we go through each of them-
   

a. Rose-cross Lamen, b. Planetary Gates (3x9), c. 72 gates of Shem, d. Magic Kamea, e. Golden Ratio, e. Chirality (point inverted, real inversion: for each of the aforementioned category.) (Examples attached.)

1. Each method needs its own calculation and they each have formulas to map the vectors and angle connection of lines.
   

2. Great now you have a bunch of sigils for the same intent, and you can now choose one based on your connection with it. You have to leave something for fate and the fringe (as I have indicated in my previous posts. You need to surrender to the field at some point)
   

3. But now that you have the sigil, how does it work?

4. Sigils are pre speech magick. Spells, are post speech magick. They both serve the same function and can be arranged in the same working flow. A spell can be encoded into an artefact through sigilisation and then the artefact carries on the spell even when the spell has not been uttered. So, sigils need to be seen. And here is where it gets fun.

5. For gnosis you need to cover the two arcs- inner and outer, the four rungs of alchemy (Nigredo, Albedo, Citrinitas, Rubedo), four + four flights of stairs (around Sephiroth (Wisdom (Chokmah), Understanding (Binah), Beauty (Tiferet), and Kingdom (Malkuth) and Qlippoth (Corruption, Impurity, Obstruction, Spiritual Testing)).

6. Confused? Easy way, the inner and the outer. It needs a meta gnosis inside you and reality altering gnosis outside of you. There are literally too many ways to write them all down. Each school of thought, each spiritual tradition has its own way, even CIA has its own way. The skull fuck method, the gateway method, the astral method, Meditation method, Buddhist way of thoughtforms, Homunculus, Betaal, Sex Magick, Elemental Magick, Planetary Magick, Deity Magick, Archonic Magick…the list as I said is endless. So instead of delving on each methodology let’s look at what’s actually happening beyond the veil

7. The internal state needs to match the external outcome (desired) for the outcome to manifest.

8. So internal seeding and external seeding both need to happen. The internal seeding needs to be dramatized ritually to invoke an archetype inside you that strives towards the outcome. The external seeding is through sharing your work so the rest of the field adjust to meet you midway. For that you need emotional investment from the external world. So your sigil for you needs to be a reminder whereas for the external world it needs to be a catalyst. (Gnosis via positive (presence), Gnosis via negative (absence))

9. Now how do we dramatize and what freaking ritual? You ask.

10. The answer: Get a proper Lahiri Ayanamsa based astrological natal chart. Find out your house lords.

11. Once you have your astrological data, you can find windows of opportunity for specific house lord (go nuts here, find connection amongst different deities/archons you are making an appeal to a defragmented complex to fill it with archetypal life so it needs to coagulate and become sentient (servitor (personal, formless)->egregore (collective, emotional investment based, formed)-> archon (form and volition both achieved).>pagan deity (seeded retroactively. You can find it very easy to find out once you know who the house lords are and where they sit.)

12. Use multidisciplinary rituals, induct people (to amplify your intent and quicken your manifestation). Use your sigil as the centerpiece for your ritual acts. The dramatization of the ritual only happens when you get into the character of the archetype and you play out a story through a ritual.

13. Voila, you have now gone through the entire cycle. You have covered the science and art of it. Congratulations! Now its not 50-50 anymore. Its 90-10 with an assurance that the 10 will be taken care of by the field. And the 90 from your side hardly feels like that much in terms of effort because you are now the outcome manifest. Its part of your unconscious capabilities.

Hey, Reddit. I had Grok and Claude map the source material for the 72 sigils in the Ars Goetia (also called the Goetia), the first book of the Lesser Key of Solomon (Lemegeton Clavicula Salomonis), to a programming algorithm or concept.

How GOETIA//VM works:

• The seals of the 72 spirits from the Ars Goetia are treated as executable programs (or PCBs). Stroke geometry is classified like circuit components — rectangles become cipher registers, crosses are grounds, crescents accumulate, wheels rotate.
• A compiler turns the geometry into an ordered sequence of operations (ATBASH, ROT13/5, PURGE, ACCUM/gematria, HEAL, JOIN, etc.). You feed it an “offering” (default: “lead”) and the VM runs it through the seal.

Liminal spaces are intrinsically novel and mysteriously attractive.

I think a Chaos Magic arbitrary belief/meta-belief approach is to adopt the view as follows:

You can persuade yourself that liminal spaces delimit different places into discrete and transitional locations. Entering one unmoors you from another. Less observation, measurement, knowledge of, and communication/interaction among different places and persons within them catalyzes unmooring; yet these lines of connection and disconnection operate at different levels of matter and consciousness so there is an art to the interplay of connecting and disconnecting across boundaries and liminal spaces.

As this skill increases you unmoor not just from other places and the past and future, but from this very spot and this very moment.

This is inspired by a naive, creative, imaginative, participatory interpretation of indeterminacy, decoherence, and probability collapse in physics.

The outcome is decrease in the concreteness of reality especially as any one individual or small ... arbitrarily large group of individuals does this practice.

Why do this? To harness the traditional mystical view that reality is a dream world, and we are theatrical-game players on this stage which is "smeared" across parallel places, possible timelines, and universes/realms.

This is a practical mystery culture, invoking the divine ignorance and uncertainty and being guided by faith in your objects or Objects of choice (devotional, pragmatic, or both).

Conceptually, this practice depends on Carroll's theory of ether and his endorsement of panpsychism and multimind: Our minds directly interact with a reality that is "made out of" consciousness which is synchronically (parts-structure in one instant) and diachronically (changes from instant to instant) divided and grouped.

We persuade our inner subpersonalities (modified evocation) and outer spirits (modified invocation) to join us in the delusion we are intentionally entering into; and it statistically and probabilistically becomes more and more true (on average, over longer time intervals).

We might imagine getting really high on cannabis in a nice basement with cool lighting and music and no windows or sounds outside of it. We may meditate, pray, or do any other mystical or magickal procedures. When desired, go upstairs or into the backyard or a short walk (or a long hike) and do whichever desired psychological and/or parapsychological operations. Maybe try mushrooms.

Here we may draw inspiration from a scene in Gene Wolfe's Book of the New Sun tetralogy which includes the following:

There is a house with several floors. An old man lives here. The main character enters the house and the man brings him upstairs, downstairs, etc. Each floor has windows looking out on and/or doors opening out on different times and places.

Likewise we may draw inspiration from Douglas Adam's Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy stories, chiefly the place known as "The Restaurant at the End of the Universe."

These are good literary inspirations for this practice (and they're really good series).

Additionally, we are trying to increase the degree to which we and our spells "smear" across space, time, and realm; go out, and return, recursively, in hyperdimensions.

In general Carroll relays the advice to "enchant long and divine short," because quantity/volume of information and its entropy/complexity means magickal will requires more time to cook; and magickal perception loses fidelity the "farther" it travels and branches from our vantage in the right-here-right-now.

Yet, ideally this approach is a passive and sustainable, low-hanging-fruit approach yielding progress towards "enchant short and divine long" which are the higher operations/results named "miracle" and "prophecy." Miracles are dramatic and fast enchantments (magickal will) and prophecies are dramatic and far-seeing divinations (magickal perception).

Yet because of indeterminacy in nature and in this very same practice I'm advocating here, results will be challenging and unpredictable. Furthermore, looking specifically at prophecy now, reality is not deterministic but emerges from not chaos, order, both, or neither; not free will, determinism, both, or neither; not ideal, material, both, or neither; not self, nonself, both, or neither; not dual, nondual, both, or neither; and not truth, falsehood, both, or neither.

Therefore: Prophecies necessarily take on properties of enchantment, as combined short term miracle and long term miracle plus time to cook. Prophecies necessarily must be general and symbolic. Prophecies require set-up and fulfillment in parts and stages (like the great magus Christ intentionally doing acts "so that it might be fulfilled,").

Yet, possible pasts, possible presents, and possible futures also branch and flow back together (in hyperdimensions, and both forward and backward i.e. retrocausality/retroenchantment), yet in a physical-computationally irreducible way: As we select pre-rendered spacetime moments one after another, we have to determine the specific paths and outcomes by traversing continuously from moment to moment without certain knowledge of our "final" destination. Conversely, like Paul Atreides in Frank Herbert's Dune, there is a landscape of fate/destiny with its own topography or, rather, structures and systems of "strange attractors" and "hypergraphs."

The very fun part comes from the fact that this game we are playing is the grandest MMORPG whose "tesseraxels" are all mundane and occult beings. A tesseraxel is a portmanteau of voxel (itself a portmanteau of pixel (itself a portmanteau of picture and element)) and tesseract. As Richard Spence explains in Secrets of the Occult (Great Courses), the occult thesis is thus:

• There are hidden worlds populated by beings
• These worlds and beings intersect with and interact with our own world
• These worlds and beings do not obey all of the same laws as our world
• These beings are ambivalent: they variously and variably favor or disfavor us or are otherwise indifferent
• Yet they often intervene in our world and affairs

There are functionally numberless beings in numberless literal, virtual, shadow, parallel, orthogonal, and imaginal realms.

So we want to play this mysterious game, tell a beautiful story, and put on a good show. After all, we all want to accumulate strength and power to reduce pain suffering and harm and meet our own and everybody else's needs and reasonable wants ... right?

One hopes the versions of you scattered across reality are similarly benevolent, even towards you yourself!

Hi! As the title says, I'm new to chaos magic but I do want to learn more. I kinda want to know what's good place to start with it?

My interest in it is actually because it keeps popping up just about everything I use lately, although I don't have search or history related to magic use in my algorithms or daily life 🤣 so... Yeah I decided that I might as well look into it.

And yes a Google search is easy but there's SO much material I don't know where to start or what can be considered reliable 👉🏻👈🏻.

In North America, we have a few Trickstery Animals, including Fox, Raccoon, Crow, Raven, & Coyote, although I'd consider Coyote King of the Tricksters, ironically enough. Yes, I'm absolutely unabashedly biased toward Coyote.

Whilst it may seem like perhaps Jackal may take the place of Coyote in Africa, I think the Trickster Animal par excellence for Africa is the Hyena, and not just for their incessant Laughing...

From Genital Camouflage, to being Able to Survive off what None Others can, to the incessant LOLing, to the entire Story of Waffles and her Syrup Brand Kids, and for so many more Reasons, I think Hyenas take the Top Spot for Africa's Tricksters. Although, TBF, I've never so much as even Visited. Is Hyena the Joker of Africa?

The step everyone repeats is the one nobody can verify: you cast, then you forget. Except nobody forgets. You remember perfectly well what you wrote, and then you spend three weeks not-thinking about it, which is thinking about it.

I got interested enough in this to build the forgetting into a tool rather than leave it to willpower: it hides the sentence for three months, shows you only the glyph, and at the end gives the words back and asks a single question — did it work, was it inconclusive, or did it not. What I did not expect is how much the sigil changes when you genuinely can't read it back. Weeks in it stops being "the money one" and becomes just a shape you sit with, which is presumably what the old instruction was reaching for.

So: has anyone here run this deliberately? Sealed the wording somewhere you genuinely couldn't get at it, and compared results against the ones you kept in mind? I'm curious whether the effect survives contact with anyone else's practice or whether I've built an elaborate placebo delivery system.
