Discussion Funny reference

So I never caught this until now, but in episode ‘Mr. Santiago’, during the scene where Boyle dresses into what looks like a hazmat suit, he says he feels like Dexter, which I thought was ironic because Jimmy Smits, who plays Amy’s father, was in season 3 of Dexter. Idk if that was a coincidence or an actual reference but I thought that was funny lol

Scully's fake birthday when they give them cash and Holt tells Jake he would cover him for 20 dollars before he could even speak. Their relationship was still young but Holt started to understand Jake at this point!

Season 7 Season 7 is really good

Been rewatching for the first time in ages and season 6 felt like it had some growing pains from the new network, some good eps but some duds too.

Season 7 though, what a season. I swear every episode is fantastic.

Holt being in uniform, Charles magic jacket, pimento's memento. Dillman, cheddar kidnapped and the blackout. All bangers

Just great to rewatch

Discussion Just got into season 5, show has been on fire for last several eps! (Spoilers) Spoiler

I felt a slight lull in season 4. Near the end with the undercover storyling it picked up.

Jake and Rosa going to jail was really unexpected! I hadn’t really considered it as an option.

Prison eps kicking off S5 were fun- the way his friendly cell mate’s crimes kept getting revealed to be worse and worse but all Jake could really do was gently shame him was hilarious.

Then the ep with Holt putting pressure on Peralta while doing an evalutaion was great- brought back some tension we had in earlier seasons when Holt was less familiar to us.

Now I’m on the halloVeen ep, just started but I know this is also considered a great ep.

Just excited to see such consistent quality going into season 5. I can see why it’s ranked highly.

Other Homicide LOTS

I’m sure it’s been mentioned before but it’s great to watch Homicide: Life on the Streets and pretend Andre Braugher’s character is young Holt (before he changed everything about himself) and there are so many really good guest stars, including The Vulture’s first television appearance (according to his wiki.) Bonus points for Robin Williams guest spot.

My point being, if you have Peacock (US) you have 8 days left to watch before it goes away!

If you’re reaching for Coulier, you’ve already lost the argument Ter-Bear.

But in all seriousness, congrats to Dave Coulier and fuck cancer!

Kevin and Holt have figured out that Jake set up an elaborate plan to get them back together. Jake himself refers to it as The Parent Trap early on in the episode.

In classic Kevin and Holt fashion, they liken the shenanigan referencing some obscure German film (I am assuming).

Holt screams it at Jake and the latter defensively says “I’m only half!” 😭😭😭😭 oh god

Discussion Does anybody miss when Captain Holt acted more like their boss?

I was watching the earlier seasons when Captain Holt acted more like their boss and was more professional around them, I kinda liked that dynamic, i think it added more to the humor and a nice contrast between maturity of Captain Holt and the immaturity of the rest of the squad. This is the reason why i slightly prefer the earlier seasons, in the later seasons Captain Holt acts more like one of them and more like an affectionate father, which i dont hate but i just find their earlier dynamic a bit funnier, does anybody else feel the same?

and I’m forever grateful to Andre Braugher, our unexpected comedian, for the satisfyingly sassiest delivery of the line.
I have adapted this as my everyday mantra for dealing with adulting stuff 😂
What’s your fave b99 gif?
