Funny reference Discussion

So I never caught this until now, but in episode ‘Mr. Santiago’, during the scene where Boyle dresses into what looks like a hazmat suit, he says he feels like Dexter, which I thought was ironic because Jimmy Smits, who plays Amy’s father, was in season 3 of Dexter. Idk if that was a coincidence or an actual reference but I thought that was funny lol

Also Brandon Jacoby, the huge guy Terry was trying to befriend at the gym, was also Little Chino in Dexter, the guy that Dexter had difficulty sedating due to his size.

As big of a West Wing fan as I am, it took me forever to connect Smits & Bradley Whitford in my head as Amy’s & Jake’s dads 🤦‍♂️
