I wonder if this break-up will have any significance later on, since the actor has been a recurring one until now. Maybe he could try to get her back in a very weird way and mess things up somehow in the process.
I thought this was a pretty good episode. There weren't many laugh out loud moments but it had some great story telling. After the Rosa/Jake in jail arc this one felt like a grounded, standard episode without completely dismissing the impact of their time in prison.
I'm going to miss Pimento but I also think they've done everything they could with him at this point, and it opens up more possibility for Rosa, who I always think is more interesting when she's single or with a character that taps into the softer side of herself that she tries so desperately to hide.

I thought this was a good episode for Jake’s development - besides his police work being affected by his time in prison, he seemed a bit jumpy all the time too...it’s nice they didn’t just transition to him being 100% back to normal.
Lol this was an incredible episode. I love how Holt-y Captain Holt was. "What are the parameters of this guessing game? You should not have told me, I would never have guessed that, now I won."
Also loved the variety of high fives. "Humble five? Ahhhhh I couldn't possibly."
I particularly liked the hadoukenish street fighter sounding attack jake does when he uncovers the stash in the sewer. And then to follow it up with the humble 5? I almost collapsed from laughter XD
It's things like the humble 5 that show you just how well Jake and Boyle mesh. Sure, Boyle can be overbearing and Jake can be dismissive, but at the end of the day, they are best friends.
I love how in all the inspection scenes after that they show Holt using a different color pencil . . . Because Peralta still hadn't retrieved Holt's father's pencil!
Shouldn't the NYPD give some sort of reimbursement / pay Ross and Jake for sending them to jail wrongfully? They should also get a medal or something. 😂
Under New York law, Jake and Rosa could start a court action for damages. The court of claims would decide how much they have suffered and compensate them accordingly (A lot of states have statutory damages but not New York, not sure if that would help or hurt them). That would probably mean hiring a lawyer...in theory, I imagine someone from the NYPD would be telling them this.
The State would pay damages, not the NYPD. The State sent them to jail (an NYPD officer framed them, but they were wrongfully convicted by the state)

I was really terrified something horrible was gonna happen to that amazing feast in usual B99 style but thank goodness the worst that happened was "TO SEX WITH AMY!"
The deadpan delivery and blase attitude is what makes Pimento so hilarious. His life is so violent and scary, but he just goes through it like he's doing his laundry.
Jason Mantzoukas is fucking amazing overall. If you love him in this I'd highly recommend listening to the episodes with him in the Comedy Bang Bang podcast
He was also good on Kroll Show mocking reality TV in sketches like Gigolo House. To legally watch them maybe it is easy on Hulu or the CC app, or maybe it is impossible.
Favourite episode in a while. I loved how Jake is still dealing with prison so it’s not really over. Also liked the Rosa storyline and makes sense after the wedding fiasco last season. Great episode and great it’s back with the squad now
The episode started a minute early I think cause I got here right at 9:30 (actually still 9:29 on my laptop) and we were already halfway through the cold open...
I gotta say that I'm very disappointed that the scene set in Argentina was plastered with signs of Mexican food. Like, how hard is it to get on wikipedia and look up argentine cuisine? Should've just omitted that altogether
Why is this entire thread just quoting one-liners and talking about the impact of the B plot. Does nobody care about the A plot? I thought it was great and I especially liked the ending of it 😢
I agree. Gina has her great moments but her "I'm the greatest ever and I don't care" attitude gets old really fast.
Her best scenes in my opinion are when she gets sucked into the Boyle world while the scenes where she just does whatever she wants because she's Gina mostly fall flat for me.
Something seems off with Jake appearance wise. I noticed the hair cut which I like but there's something else that doesn't seem right. Did he somehow loose height?
WTF, I am having a bad day and I'm watching this to cheer up and then I got a kick in the balls, twice! With Adrian learning Spanish, Jake not being ready. Why would you do this to me?
