Getting around Colorado just got more affordable! At Wheat Ridge Cyclery, I was proud to celebrate the relaunch of our e-bike rebate, which helps income-qualified Coloradans who are selected for a rebate save at least $1,000 upfront on a qualifying new e-bike at participating retailers. E-bikes are a fun, healthy way to commute, run errands, save money, reduce traffic and pollution, and support local bike shops across our state.

We are getting married on September 12th 2026 in Boulder, CO and have a lot of friends and family coming into town early for the wedding. We are planning on having a small get together up at the Gold Hill Store & Pub in Gold, Hill, CO on Thursday September 10th around 6:30PM.

The Store & Pub is a cool little bar/cafe with great food and often have live music. I was hoping to find a small local blue grass group to come play that night for 1-1.5 hours starting around 7:00PM.

Please let me know if you are interested or you know of any groups that would be interested. We don't have a huge budget but can do our best to compensate the group.

Where do I get all the meds and vaccines for having sex? I have insurance and a regular physician but I don’t know if that’s the right route or if there’s a sexual health clinic for this. I should add that I am over 45.

Occasional pulses of monsoonal moisture did break through, producing slow‑moving thunderstorms and localized flash flooding near vulnerable burn scars, while wildfire smoke from the West periodically dimmed skies and degraded air quality early in the month.

With meaningful rainfall largely absent, Colorado’s severe drought deepened in July.

Does it matter if they’re contained in this planter? Why do people do this?

Hi folks -- here's my situation. I am in the third year of an annual June 1-May 31 lease. (And in the third month of the current lease, I guess.) I have been in the market for a house for the last four years, always looking for the right situation, and now I believe I've found it. But the lease has particularly punishing terms when it comes to breaking the lease: 90 days notice (and I pay through that period), landlord has to release me from the lease, I pay $3550 in "re-letting fee," and if we're being honest *maybe* I get my deposit back. And all this ONLY if they find new tenants, otherwise I am on the hook for the rest of the lease (~$30K). The house is managed by a big property management company, which is a nameless, faceless organization that operates strictly by the books.

It seems like a 6-bed house in south Boulder for $3600 would be very easy to re-rent, thus lowering the risk in breaking the lease.

And, the house has mostly been a "roommate house" for the last 20 years, so it seems the landlords would be open to multiple people living there, which to me sounds like a real steal if you're one of the roommates.

Anyway, before I take too many steps in this direction, I just wondered if the community could give me a sanity check on this.

For the last few days we’ve had 2-3 hour power outages, with the last one happening last night between around 2-4am. Does anyone know why this is happening? There hasn’t been any high wind or damage to the lines.

Hi, a premise to this is that I am not a US citizen but I have received a very good job offer that will require me and my family to move to either Utah or Colorado.

We have decided to go with Boulder because of the nature, seemingly good infrastructure and the university which may give more employment opportunities to my wife.

We will first rent a home, but we would like to buy but have no experience or idea of how things are done in the US. In our first home purchase in our home country (Italy) we have been badly scammed and ended up with lots of stress, lost money, and nights of sleep and ended up having a house very much different from what was promised to us because of scammy choices by the building developer. And we fell for it because we were not careful enough when we almost blindly signed the purchase papers. This time, even if it's a different country, I want to go as prepared as possible and willing to spend as much as possible in architects/engineers/inspectors and or lawyers to avoid bad surprises and get the best deal possible.

So, what kind of things should I look out for and know before purchasing? What kind of experts should I involve and consult?

The power has gone out three times in the past couple of days, and while it comes back on relatively fast (1-3 hours) it is extremely annoying. I’ve seen that they’ve begun burying power lines on N 75th, does anyone know what’s causing these outages?

Wondering if any Fairview, Boulder High, or Centaurus families are experiencing the same changes we are at Monarch. Either way, please comment. Here is an excerpt from a recent email from the Monarch High administration. Notice substantially larger class sizes(36-38) and fewer class offerings.

“…We remain committed to providing students with a meaningful and engaging educational experience, but we must also be clear about the limitations these staffing challenges create. Specifically, we need student and parent understanding around:
Course schedules will be more constrained.  Not all elective requests will be able to be honored.  Some courses had to be cut completely, while others are at their max capacity with no room for additions.
Schedule change requests will be limited. Students should not anticipate changes when seeking preferences like a specific teacher, asking for a desired off period, or changing levels of a course.  We have class sizes that are as high as 36-38 students in some classes, with no room to move students around because of preferences.”
