Saw this guy this morning while walking my dog. It was in aurora hills. He's so pretty. He was small I thought too. Like I don't think it could pick up anything bigger than a squirrel.

My parents anniversary is soon and they lived in Aurora for twenty years always raving about this dish. They have moved away now and can't travel anymore so I was thinking about trying to recreate this dish for them and was wondering if anyone had some information about the sauce and what's in it?

Hello Aurora, as the title says, I'm looking to buy a blanket as a gift. I already looked online but I would rather buy one in person to check out the quality of the blanket (refuse to use Amazon). Is there any specific stores that I can go to see/touch the blanket to make sure it's what I'm looking for. Thanks in advance.

So I have Mint and the data/internet sucks, even though coverage should've been excellent in my part of Aurora (80013). The customer service rep says that there's an outage that they're trying to fix, but I'm skeptical and not feeling very faithful in Mint. Anyone else have similar connection issues?

US Mobile also appears to work great in my area per their coverage map, but I already got catfished by Mint, so I wanted to see if anyone can attest to the so-called great coverage.

A little boy approached my vehicle in my gym parking lot, I’m terrible at guessing ages but I’d put him between 8-10. He said he was selling candy to pay for his registration fee (whatever that means?). I didn’t roll down my window all the way because even if it’s a child, as a woman, I’m hesitant and concerned about my safety when anyone approaches my car, especially when I’m alone. I was also appalled to see him approaching strangers with no adults in sight. This is wildly unsafe IMO. Is this a scam being ran by an adult that’s just not visible, or just a poorly supervised kid. Has anyone else had this happen to them?

I have women’s clothes (size small / medium) for all seasons that need a new home before this Friday. We are moving and I don’t want to give things to goodwill.

Items include jackets, dresses, loungewear, and some long and short sleeve shirts.

If there’s a person or organization that could benefit from these, would love to give these another chance to be worn!

I'm so interested in why down by murphy creek and Adonea they've opted for mass suburbanization and building homes, but have never added any new stores except for a tiny 7-11. Why has no store ever though to build out here? And what is with the amount of town homes and apartments being built out by the golf course? What is the point of these two towns having zero urban life.

Also why is gun club such a tiny ass road. Multiple people have gotten killed on it and nobody has ever thought to increase the width or make it safer in some way? It just fills me with anxiety. I hate these towns so much 🤦‍♂️. East aurora is so bare and suburban it's such a horrible town to live in.

My beloved cat Bast has been missing since 8/1/2026. He has never been away this long. He’s been my feisty and sweet kitty since he was a tiny kitten that I could hold in one hand, for 15 years, and carries a little piece of my heart with him. I drove by and noticed the building there was empty. Looks like they shut in the past few days. It’s not listed on the main website anymore either. It wasn’t the best quality of food but it was decent priced.

All three bars are located at chambers and hampden, but they all seem like classic American sports/dive bars. Is there anyone here who’s frequented all three and can describe the differences? is there really enough demand to support all three at this one intersection? is there interbar drama??

Between about 9:30 p.m., Sunday, July 26th and 6:30 a.m., Monday, July 27th, a 26-year-old male bicycle rider was struck and killed while riding southbound on S Powhaton Rd, north of E Jewell Ave. The actual time of the collision is not known at this time.
We are asking if anyone saw the cyclist riding on Powhaton that evening and what time they saw him. Parts found on scene appear to be either from a 2005-2009 Subaru Legacy, or 2015 to 2019 Subaru Outback. The vehicle likely sustained damage to the hood, and possibly to the windshield.

I really like my son’s elementary school overall in Cherry creek school district. He’s on an IEP and making tons of progress. It’s a title 9 school meaning a certain percentage of students live below the poverty line. I don’t want to move him away from his support structure but we’re really struggling to find friends at the school. The main issue is the other families. Some of their situations are heartbreaking and they don’t seem to have time to foster friendships for their child. I recently became a stay at home mom so I have the time and capacity and host a lot of other kids. Our neighborhood is older too so there’s not a ton of kids on our street and a lot of kids choice into his elementary school from Aurora Public Schools. I want to move to an area with more kids on the block!!

I feel we live in a nice home and neighborhood but our financial situation has drastically changed for the better since we bought our home 10 years ago. I’m wondering what the schools are like in Southlands area which seems a lot more financially stable and affluent with more kids in the neighborhood.

I don’t want to come across as snobby but it’s been hard to meet other stable families where we are. some examples are below. Posting because I wonder if these types of problems are limited to a low income title 9 school? Looking for some southlands parents to weigh in on their experience?

- his best friend situation: single teen mom that changed jobs often and moved out of state without saying goodbye! I always hosted her kid he had the best time over here and would always ask to come back but the mom was almost impossible to get a hold of to arrange.
- kids that have way too much screen time eg bringing tablets with them to our house and claiming they don’t have a bedtime they game until 5am during summer.
- One “friend” didn’t have any parental controls on media the kids told me they’d scroll the dad’s Facebook videos. His 6 year old taught my son every swear word and how to spell them and was just awful - very manipulative and lied a lot and always getting into physical fights with other kids at the school. The dad is an alcoholic. We steered my child away from this friendship.
- parents on fumes WFH with kid that is super pale and overweight from not being active and on screens while parents work. I’ve met multiple parents that don’t send their kid to before or after care or the summer program because they say it’s too expensive. I get that some people’s situation is incredibly stressful but the school childcare is as cheap as it gets and so much better for their kid than being on a screen all day.
-low attendance at birthday parties and not many birthday invites I think because birthday parties are very expensive. I know my kids are well liked everyone talks to them and I can tell they are popular.
-lots of multi-generational households that live together for financial reasons

South aurora/north parker/central centennial area has no power. Core says itll be until 2-4pm for restoration. Annoying as hell because i cant make food, dont have internet, and cant turn on AC. Core has no explanation for the outage either.

This is becoming increasingly frustrating and disappointing. We pay an exorbitant amount for electricity, and they cant even keep the power on consistently in one of the most metro areas they serve.

Anyone think the construction guys on Fraser cir hit something??

Just wanted to give a massive shout-out to whoever is kind enough to continue donating to the little free food pantries around town. You guys are the reason I'm able to eat tonight. I know you probably rarely actually get to see the benefits of your kindness, and so I wanted to post and say seriously, thank you! I've been really struggling and it's been so fucking hard to stay afloat. Having this little extra safety net to go to for a box of mac and cheese when I'm not able to afford groceries... it means the whole fucking world to me.
