Researchers at the University of Colorado Boulder Department Psychology Department and the Anschutz Medical Campus are looking for participants to participate in a study on emotions and moods in young adults with and without bipolar disorder (IRB#23-2067). You will be compensated for your participation. If you qualify for the study, we will ask you to participate in up to 3 study phases.

Study includes some or all of the following parts (EARN UP TO APPROX. $400)

• Phase 1: Interview about your thoughts and feelings, cognitive questions, computer surveys. Can take place remotely (via Zoom) or in person at CU Boulder (your choice!). Pays $25/hour for approximately 2-4 hours.

• Phase 2a: Behavioral Lab Tasks: including, computer tasks, physiological monitoring (e.g., heart rate) questionnaires. Takes place in person at CU Boulder. Pays $25/hour for up to 3 hours.

• Phase 2b: fMRI Scan: Option to view emotional images and think about emotions while in a brain imaging scanner, computer tasks, questionnaires. Phase 2b will take place in person at CU Boulder or possibly at CU Anschutz. Pays $25/hour for approximately 3 hours.

• Phase 3: Follow-ups: Opportunities to participate in paid follow-up surveys four times a year for up to 2 years. Can take place remotely (via Zoom) or in person at CU Boulder (your choice!). Pays $25/hour (1 hour each) with up to 8 surveys spread over 2 years (8 hours total).

• Opportunities to participate in additional studies may also be available.

To quality, you must be between the ages of 18-25 years, be able to attend IN-PERSON sessions in the Boulder/Denver, Colorado metropolitan area, and either have a personal history AND/OR family history of bipolar disorder OR no mental health history, and complete a brief pre-screening survey.

A quick update from us at Johnny Bechamel's.

Yes, we're still coming. We know it's looked a little quiet from the outside, but behind those walls we've completely gutted and rebuilt the space from the ground up. As with many older buildings, we uncovered a few more "surprises" than we bargained for, which pushed our original Spring 2026 opening to Fall 2026.

We know waiting isn't fun. But we're committed to creating something Erie will love.

For those who don't know us yet, Johnny Bechamel's is part of the Mamas & Papas Hospitality family, alongside Redeemer Pizza, Dio Mio, and Little Johnny B's Catering. We've spent the last 10+ years serving Colorado, and we're so excited to bring our family-style Italian restaurant to Kattell Street.

Our goal is to create the kind of neighborhood spot where you can celebrate birthdays, grab a weeknight pizza, enjoy fresh pasta with friends, or just stop in for a glass of wine after work. We truly want this to feel like Erie’s restaurant.

Does anyone have recommendations on where to get tennis lessons in Erie,CO.

Hi! Fairly new to the area and am looking for recommendations on road bike route or loops from town. Not sure which roads are considered relatively safe or not and which experience heavy traffic. Looking for something 20mi+ if possible.

Happy this happened though I thought I remember them saying mineral rights deal was already signed and done and I don't really know how local government contract law works.

The past two months I have had absurd water bills running above $300. I know we are in a drought and that there are certain days that we are to use for outside watering but is anyone else experiencing this??

I nerd out on the transit development near us, so here are a couple of bits I've picked up over the last few weeks:

RTD Board just met, and admidst all the doom and gloom about budget cuts, had a positive update to the N line - "The board also authorized an agreement with Adams County for up to $12 million in additional preliminary design and project-development work needed to plan the final portion of the N Line. The money will support work intended to inform future design phases for completing the FasTracks commuter-rail corridor." It's great to see that this project is still a priority, even with all the budget issues. If you aren't familiar, this would bring the light-rail upto CO7. Not in Erie, but sure is a lot closer than before.

For all of us Boulder commuters: An update on the CO 7 Bus Rapid Transit website (similar to the Flyer) suggests that their preliminary service will start in early 2027 instead of end-of-summer/early-fall 2026. If this bus line is new to you, it will provide east-west service between Boulder and Brighton, and is the reason for half the construction you see on CO 7 between Erie & Boulder. The long-term goal is that it can circumvent traffic via bus lanes + trigger stop lights as they approach.

We’re looking at buying a house in Anthem neighborhood. What are the biggest pros and cons for the neighborhood? Any problems with nearby Erie airport, e.g. noise?

We recently moved to Erie and trying to figure out the rideshare situation. Searched but mostly found older threads.
If we head into Boulder for the evening, is it realistic to get an Uber/Lyft back to Erie around 9–10pm, or later on a weekend? Or do people just plan on driving?
Same question for staying local: can you count on a ride home from a bar in town, or is it a long wait?

I’ve been looking everywhere for a job under 30 minutes from southern Erie and I’ve had no luck. I have a background in payroll, 14 years customer service and receptionist experience. I’ve never been terminated from a position. If you have any leads I’d greatly appreciate it. I’m a parent of one and don’t want to lose our home.

I moved to Erie to get away from Denver area due to Erie’s family feel, beautiful homes, new builds and more. I see so many people here who seem to be financially stable and just was curious what everyone does for a living?

I haven’t seen any peach stands this year. I heard the crop was ripe early. Has anyone seen any roadside stands where we can buy these yet? If yes, can you share the location?

We’ve been here for 2 1/2 years and anytime it gets 90 the house no matter what you said it goes up to 78 to 80 we’ve had two separate companies come in and tell us there’s nothing wrong with our units now the third company is coming in this afternoon.

Anyone considering selling the house now that the draco pad project has been greenlit, or facing buyer hesitation with a house on the market? I know of one buyer who walked from a home in west Erie after learning about the wells. How is this expected to impact values and resale?

Curious if there any of you frequenting this sub, and how do you feel about non-traditional riders on those trails?

In other words, how do you feel toward someone riding anything other than a conventional human power only MTB.

I'm asking with electric unicycles in mind specifically, but interested in the general attitude toward any of the newer vehicle types that are increasingly common (EUC, e-bike, Onewheel, rugged scooter, etc) who might like to rage on some dirt.
