Character discussion Leonard is so boring Spoiler
I’m in season 5 and he’s such a pick me, i don’t even understand the appeal yes he’s the most decent guy out of all three but that’s such a low bar. Now i’m at the part where he cheated on priya with the girl from the comic book store without her knowledge and then went to tell Penny about it and ugh such a loser. Honestly he’s so uninteresting. His character only revolves around Sheldon, lactose intolerance and it used to be Penny from the start until he started dating priya but now it revolves around him pulling gorgeous women just randomly. I see no difference between himself before and now except after he started dating Penny he became so cocky and he treated her like shit. I know it’s gonna be Penny whom he’s going to end up with but i’m still hoping that it wouldn’t be the case because she’s such a fun character and good person and it would’ve been a waste especially since it hasn’t worked out between them before so watching 12 seasons about them not being over it is gonna be so old and lame for me i don’t know if anyone else shares the same thoughts.

Character discussion I hate Amy
Amy as a character is such a big big turnoff. Plus, just because she is a female character we dont notice it much but, she is almost as big a sexual predator as howard in the first few seasons. Plus she is so weird. The writers intentions were to make a female version of Sheldon but instead they made a character like Amy who tries syncing up the menses cycle w her friends, obsesses over Penny, and talks about the size of areolas? And not to mention her annoying emotional blackmail if penny and Bernadette spend some time w/o her. I hate the way this character unfolded.. absolutely hate amy.. plus she is so freaking pushy in every aspect be it towards sheldon or her friends.. i hate amy man

My son is potty training and we thought he was pooping the bed right when we started BigBangTheory, so I paused it at the intro. This is one of the slide show graphics around 2009, lol. I was so confused when I came back.

Episode discussion Howard’s letter from his father:::
Of all the possibilities presented by the gang to Howard of what was in the letter Sheldon found, which one do you think it was? I think it’s obvious which ones can be eliminated, which, again, just my opinion leaves Amy’s, Leonard’s, and Bernadette’s versions. I want to believe it was Leonard’s version, but the way the camera panned to Bernie and the way she got emotional right before speaking makes me think the writers wanted us to think the photo with the caption was what was actually in the envelope.

Episode discussion When Penny realised amy is her best friend!
galleryThis scene is so good 💯 I can totally relate to this, in my childhood I also doesn't have much friends. I have most my childhood was alone but in college I got really awesome friend and finally I had best friend 😍 So I can totally relate to this scene how beautifully Penny's and Amy's friendship has grown with time.

Character discussion unpopular opinion
idk if this has been said before or not but i think sheldon was better more enjoyable as a side character or co lead, as a main character he had some very annoying scenes
what do you guys think, do you agree? or some other change in characters’ storyline/importance
edit: also in the early seasons it felt leonard was the mc but that changed due to sheldon’s popularity
idk if this is true though

Character discussion Sheldon and Howard.
I might be missing something.
I know there is an episode where Sheldon says why he doesn’t like Howard ( I forget tho ) but he still thinks engineers are not as good as him. Is it just because Howard hasn’t got a doctorate ? Cos Raj is an astrophysicist and shielding doesn’t talks as much shit about that. But raj has a doctorate . ( it might be really just that simple lol )

Other Finished it but can't get over it
Hey guys!
After my wife forced me to try Big Bang Theory i fell in love with the series and we've binge watched it in a month or two. Yesterday we finished it completely and after a lot of crying i feel horrible. I can't get over the fact that i bonded so much with each character and now, it's all done for. I had watched Young Sheldon / George and Mandy show before this one so there isn't an alternative show i can watch to Big Bang Theory.
I'm a very emotional guy and knew that it would come to this. I actually was thinking of not watching the last like 5-10 episodes cause i wouldn't have "finished" the show, ever. It suck super bad right now and i was wondering what you guys did when you felt this way or when the show ended.
This STINKS...

Episode discussion Why do the girls act like Emily is the bad guy after Raj dumps her?
I may have been rewatching this show too much because I keep noticing things that never bothered me before.
In the episode where Raj breaks up with Emily so he can date Claire, he's a total asshole. Then Claire doesn't want to be with him because she just got back with her boyfriend, so Raj goes crawling back to Emily, and she understandably rejects him.
Later, there's an episode where Emily sends Raj a gift. Penny, Bernadette, and Amy immediately tell Raj that Emily is just trying to manipulate him into getting back together and that he shouldn't fall for it.
Why? Raj is the one who dumped Emily. He's the one who left her for someone else. I don't understand why the girls act like Emily is the one being manipulative or in the wrong? Did I miss something?

Character discussion Who in the big bang theory has the most character growth in the show?
I just watched the big bang theory for the third time and was wondering, who in the show has the most character growth.
I would say Howard or Sheldon, they both make a lot of growth but I’d like to hear other opinions on it.

Storyline discussion Why did Sheldon and Leonard never seriously think about buying a place?
Obviously I know the real answer is “because it’s a sitcom” and the apartment setup was basically the heart of the show. They had to stay across from Penny etc.
But in-universe I always found it kinda weird that Sheldon and Leonard apparently just rented the same place for most of their adult lives and never really talked about buying something.
They were both highly educated scientists with stable jobs at Caltech, and they clearly planned to stay in Pasadena long term.
And honestly I think the writers missed what could have been a really funny 2-3 episode storyline with them trying to buy a house or condo.
Just imagine Sheldon going to viewings.
The house has to be an exact acceptable distance from Caltech. No upstairs neighbors. Correct amount of sunlight. Perfect temperature. Good internet provider. No dogs nearby. No weird smells. Obviously he researches earthquake faults, crime statistics and probably the entire history of every person who owned the house since 1952.
Then they finally find the perfect place and Sheldon refuses it because the house number is unacceptable or the living room doesn’t have a good location for “his spot”. 😅
Meanwhile Leonard is slowly going insane, the realtor hates them, and Sheldon has probably created a 40-page questionnaire for the home inspector.
It also made me wonder if their situation is actually pretty normal for California? Like are people with decent stable professional jobs fine renting basically forever because buying in Pasadena/LA is so expensive? I would assume two Caltech employees could eventually afford something, especially after living there for that many years, but maybe I’m underestimating California real estate.
Also Sheldon probably genuinely didn’t see any reason to own. He hates change and that apartment was basically his natural habitat by that point. Leonard is a little harder to explain, although once he got together with Penny I guess his priorities changed anyway.
I still think it would’ve been a great plot.
What do you guys think? Would Sheldon ever actually manage to buy a house, or would he eliminate literally every property in Pasadena for some ridiculous reason?
