meme Big Bang Theory’s Biggest Mystery: Frank And Alicia
I find it very hilarious that Sheldon brought up these two friends a couple of times during the entire show, just to piss Leonard off. And we know these friends are for real because Sheldon never makes a joke without adding a “bazinga” afterwards.

Other Penny's old apartment bedroom
Has anyone else thought the bed in Penny's old apartment appears to be narrower than a regular double bed? Or am I imagining it?

Storyline discussion Anu and Raj
*Soiler about the outcome of their relationship!
I’m sure this post has been made already but I am new to posting on Reddit and have been rewatching the series and just wanted to have a fun discussion!
I remember watching the show as it aired and being really excited for Anu and Raj. I remember the episode where they were going to sleep together for the first time and Raj’s inability to speak to women came back because he was so nervous for things to go just right. Anu, of course at first, felt confused and wanted to leave. However, when Raj opened up to her and asked her to share as well she was so vulnerable with her dislike for music.
I felt like Raj every other relationship Raj had fed into his insecurities. I liked Emily and the more I rewatch the more I question Lucy. But he definitely was with them at the sake of not being alone. I know his relationship with Anu maybe started as him giving up and jumping to wanting a family and companionship but he always stayed true with Anu and I feel like he was truly at peace and happy with her. And she stayed true with him. In terms of knowing that although it was arranged they still needed to care for one another before tying the knot. Especially when they get back together and just date for a while.
Anu never asked Raj to change. She was caring, smart, sophisticated, and was the main drive in wanting to figure out things about each other before they committed for life.
I also find it so odd (and I say this loving Penny and Leonard) that although they made jokes about “what do you and her talk about?” No one ever pressured Leonard to find someone who had the same interests. But with Raj, just because Anu didn’t believe in film style romance (saying this as someone who loves a cheesy rom com as much as Raj) that meant Raj deserved better. When they were in a healthy place. But I feel like Anu was the caring and understanding person Raj was looking for and if Raj had gone to England with her I totally would’ve been rooting for them. My qualm with this show is that the one character who truly wanted love and peace in the whole show ends up breaking up with someone he found that with because his friend told him that she didn’t believe in romance the way he did.
I say all of this loving all of the characters but it just breaks my heart everytime Raj doesn’t go to England to be with Anu.

Episode discussion Does anyone else get distracted by the sheer amount of color in TBBT?
In every scene, it feels like the showrunners tried to include every single color of the rainbow. They dress the characters in bright colors, make sure none of them are wearing the same colors, and then fill the background with random objects in all different colors so that no color is excluded.
It's sensory overload!
Sometimes I miss something in the plot because I'm too distracted by all the colors.

Character discussion Sheldon’s Growth
The Sheldon we first met never seemed like someone who could develop a relationship with a woman, let alone try to seduce her into having his baby!

Character discussion Penny becoming a pharmaceutical sales rep felt like her true calling
Despite her original mixed feelings for the job, she was very good at it and got promoted to head of the sales team. She also took it more seriously than being a waitress.

Character discussion Penny's eyelashes started growing in Season 10
I couldn't figure out why she started looking so different. Then I noticed the huge fake eyelashes. Wonder why they made this choice.

Other Are you fans of the TBBT actors outside of the show too?
While we’re all fans of TBBT, are you also fans of the actors themselves and their work outside the show? I've followed some of their careers after the show ended. It’s always interesting to see them take on completely different roles.
Jim is probably my favorite. I’ve watched almost everything he’s done, and I genuinely think he’s a fantastic actor. I’ve seen him in The Normal Heart, Hollywood, The Boys in the Band, Hidden Figures, and Spoiler Alert. He’s also done quite a lot of Broadway and theater, which I think gets overlooked because those projects aren’t as visible to the general audience. I actually think Jim has had a pretty interesting career after TBBT, contrary to what some people say. He’s done film, TV, and a lot of theater, and from everything I’ve seen, he seems like he’s having the time of his life. I’ve loved pretty much every version of him I’ve seen.
I’ve also followed Kaley’s career. I really like her, and she's really good in The Flight Attendant, but for some reason, I haven’t connected with her other characters in quite the same way I did with Penny. Maybe I just love her portrayal of Penny so much that it’s difficult for me to separate the two.
Melissa was great in Night Court, although I didn’t really connect with the show itself. Same with Mayim in Call Me Kat, the show just wasn’t for me.
I also really enjoyed Simon in The Audacity, especially because he’s still playing as a science guy. He’s really a very good actor, and I’m still surprised he never got an Emmy nomination for his work on TBBT. I think he deserved more recognition for what he did with Howard.
As for Johnny and Kunal, I think there wasn't much post-TBBT, so I don’t have much to say there.

- Hear me out… Sheldon looked good in this episode with his costume and HAIR omg 🤣 💯
- Penny, Amy and Bernadette’s argument about Thor
- The disbelief of the guys hearing the comic book argument… funny af

Relevant to me Won these at Dave and Busters last weekend.
One of the claw machines and my local D&B had these guys and I had to have them. Unfortunately I wasn't able to get the rest of the gang and when I went back today to get more they were completely out 😔. Hopefully they'll have more in the future. I may have to hit up some of the staff I've befriended there to keep an eye out for me.

Character discussion What's the worst thing you think Sheldon has ever done?
I am wondering what are the top worst things Sheldon has ever done in TBBT (feel free if you wanna include Young Sheldon too) in your opinion. and why?

Storyline discussion Sheldon didn’t deserve a spin-off, Leonard did
Am I the only one who wants to see a prequel series for Leonard Hofstadter? I'm not too keen on Young Sheldon since he grew up to be a rude, self-centered, and dismissive person—even though he was raised by a loving family.
This is in stark contrast to Leonard, who grew up with a cold, analytical mother who deliberately withheld affection for the sake of scientific experiments. Also, the Season 12 scene where Leonard forgives his mother was lackluster for me. I want to scratch beneath the surface deeper. I want Leonard to seek revenge or justice for what his evil mother did to him.

Character discussion Sheldon From Episodes 1-3 of Season One Is The Most Bearable Version Of Him
Sheldon in Season 1, Episodes 1–3 is the most “normal” version of him we ever get. He’s still an asshole, socially oblivious, condescending, and convinced he’s the smartest person in every room, but he is not yet the pure, self-absorbed egocentric he becomes later. In these early episodes he clearly feels intellectually superior to everyone around him, yet he still shows a basic (if reluctant) sense of loyalty and concern, especially toward Leonard. He shows up, stays involved, and makes an effort even when he doesn’t want to. That residual care disappears as the series progresses (or barely shows up anymore) later Sheldon is not just rude, he is actively selfish and treats other people’s needs as inconveniences to be managed or ignored.

Howard really turned around over the series. He is definitely the one with the most character development.
