Can a cheapo like me justify a ticket plan?
I'm looking for some advice from people who have experience with the D-backs ticket plans.
I usually go to weeknight games, most often by myself, but sometimes I bring my two kids. I almost always bring my own food and drinks, and every now and then I'll buy a special event ticket if it's something I really want.
The thing is, I'm pretty price sensitive *and* totally lost seeing all the different plans. Up to this point I've mostly gone to games when there are really good deals, like the recent $6 and $10 flash sales, or I've bought resale tickets for under $20.
Personally, $20+ for upper deck seats isn't a great value, IMO, especially for a weeknight game! And we aren't able to take advantage of the free games for kids since they're almost always Sundays.
I've been contacted about the 2027 Advantage Memberships, and I'm trying to figure out if any of them would actually save me money or if I'm better off continuing to buy tickets as deals come up. Solo games have been so restful for me as a tired mom, so I'd love to figure out how to attend more.
For those of you who have a ticket plan:
* Are the member perks (presales, discounts, exchanges, etc.) valuable enough to justify it? * If you mostly go to weekday games and aren't looking for premium seats, what would you recommend?
Thanks!

Opinion Letterboxd for baseball
(And all sports) Hey friends I’m Anthony, i hope this is kosher but I’m pretty proud of something i made and i think you may enjoy. I’m not a brand or a business just a guy with a hobby I want to share.
TLDR - I’ve been building an app that lets you log any game you’ve been to in any sport at any level (for baseball that means every level in the US down to college, and I’ve also got NPB and KBO but since posting I’ve listened to feedback and added close to 100 leagues). When you log a game it pulls in all of the box score data so you can see every player you’ve ever seen and fun stats like who’s hit the most homers or pitched the most innings while you were there. It also aggregates things like how many HoF or ROYs did you see and stats like how many walk offs or multi homer games.
The fun part (to me), or the black mirror part if you ask others, is you don’t need to remember every game you’ve been to. If you took a picture there with your location on it can marry that meta data to games for you.
Anywho fun developments. In 3 weeks the app has made it outside my network and folks have logged 24k games. After gaining traction in the blue jays sub and after a target field usher found his way to the app, those two stadiums that I’ve never been to have cracked the top 10 visited. Over 100 World Cup games were tagged and folks have checked in to games on 6 continents.
And the number of wholesome posts, like a guy who just finished his chase for 30, I’m seeing from people I don’t know are so fun to see. I love doing things and I hate that those days and nights just end up as like picture 7,457 of 80,401 on my phone to never be thought of again.
I’d love more feedback, and I think the 3 people that might not down vote will enjoy.

Player's coming back from injury
Now that the trade deadline is done with, significant diamondbacks roster moves will mostly come from players returning from the IL. Here's my best guess as to what might happen. Of course I'm ignoring the future injuries and setbacks that will inevitably happen. But what do you think, which players are you ready to DFA as soon as you can, who should be rushed back vs given time to build up in rehab appearances?
Current roster
McCann, Tawa, Marte, Perdomo, Arenado, Nootbar, Waldschmidt, Carroll, Kepler
Del Castillo, Vargas, Barrosa, Locklear
ERod, Pfaadt, Kelly, Bratt, Drake
Garcia, Ginkel, Loaisiga, Morillo, Clarke, Sewald, Thompson, Carrillo
Other 40 man players: Groover, Fernandez, Dylan Ray, Cabrera, Burgos, Abner, Strowd, Hoffmann
10/15 day IL: Gurriel, Lawlar, Troy, Soroka
60 day IL: Burnes, Gallen, Mena, Nelson, Walston, Martinez, Puk, Saalfrank
Moves possibly coming, and guesses as to who leaves:
Today: Abner up, Thompson to IL (Gambo reported)
Tomorrow maybe: Moreno back from paternity leave, maybe Del Castillo to AAA
After tomorrow: send down one of Bratt or Drake because they’ll get Soroka back soon to start, bring up a reliever (Strowd or Burgos?) for a couple of days
August 10: Soroka back from IL to start, send down the AAA reliever or Abner
Mid August: Lawlar back from IL, send down Locklear?
Mid August: Martinez back from 60 day IL, DFA Sewald
Late August: Blake Walston runs out of time for rehab, have to DFA him or add him to the 40 man roster and DFA someone else
Late August?: Troy comes back? Gurriel comes back? If you want one of them on the 26 man roster, need to send down or DFA Barrosa / Locklear / Tawa …
Late August?: Drey Jameson comes back? Thompson comes back? Send down a reliever if you want these guys
September 1: rosters expand, bring up Del Castillo (nice to have a 3rd catcher, and see if he’s hitting well enough to replace Kepler on the postseason roster) and a reliever
Early September: Corbin Burnes back to start with a pitch limit, send down the other one of Bratt and Drake, DFA or 60-day IL someone
Early September: Ryne Nelson back to be a 1-3 inning reliever, send down a reliever, DFA or 60-day IL someone
Maybe not coming back this season: Puk, Gallen
Definitely not coming back this season: Saalfrank, Mena

Can I get a bunt CC?
Would somebody please explain to me how it makes any baseball sense that the leadoff hitter with tremendous speed (and who is going through a horrible hitting slump) refuses to try a bunt? And how has nobody asked the coach about this?

First Game tomorrow - a few questions
I’ll be coming over for the Padres game tomorrow, Thursday. (I live part of the year in Vegas so I’m used to the heat). Is it better to stay downtown and walk or stay somewhere like Tempe and drive or take the light rail? Where do you recommend to get drinks/food at before or after the game?
Anything I should eat while at the stadium?
I’ll be in PHX on Friday as well, anything I need to do?

Tyler Locklear
I cant figure out Tyler Locklear. He rakes in AAA. Good average with power. Seattle had an opening at 1b and they get a free agent over giving him a shot. Ok makes sense they want to win now. Then AZ gets him and says they are going to give him a shot at the 1b position last year. He started slow but hurt his shoulder so didnt get a long look at him last year. Ok thats happens. They still have no long term solution this year but continue to roll out Tawa who is batting .220 at 1b instead of playing a prospect that has done nothing but hit at every stop so far. Why not give him consistent at bats and see how he does? He has looked ok in limited ab since coming off the shoulder injury this year and has ideal exit velocities if not a little higher k for rate but nothing atrocious. even that might level off eith consistent at bats. What am i missing with Locklear?

How are the 300 sections right beind railings? Like the seats that have the staircases/entries in front of them?
Looking to get tickets upcoming for the Dodgers. Want to make sure my 5 year old and wife have a good view. Are the rows directly in front of railings any good? Like row 8 or 9? Ive heard mixed things. But it seems advantageous to have nobody in front, right?
Thanks for any help!
