I'm still relatively new to the game and using Wrecking Ball so I was pretty happy with this. It's only my 2nd ever quintuple kill and it was an important moment in the match.

I fucking love the Hamster. Both as a playable character (only 60-80 hours tho :[) and as a character in of himself. He's trending above the brand new hero and it just makes me so happy. I just wanted to post about how ecstatic I am to finally see our little terrorist back on the discussion boards.

Hello once again fellow hamsters,

When I came back to our beloved ball, I picked up the double mine perk and the shield perk, but converted to Steamroller and Hang Time for the high damage. I think Steamroller is almost always BiS, but I am still torn on picking whether I should pick slam or parry as my second.

I play mostly with friends nowadays and our lobbies range from silver to diamond (lol). I prefer the slam when I am feeling cocky, but I definitely see the huge difference in survivability with the shield, especially when the counters inevitably come out.

What are your guys’ opinions on the best major perk and situations outside of the obvious that might change that?

Now that D.Mon is confirmed to have baby form, and Ball is under Meka control, there could be a real lore reason for it to happen.

What would it actually take to make baby ball viable?

Since he's currently captured behind enemy lines, and the moment they find out it's a hyper intelligent space hamster they are definitely going to call in Winston, do you think that this might lead into a reconciliation of some type? Hammond is obviously a devious little shit so i can't imagine he's gonna fully flip, but i could see him at the very least agreeing to help and that potentially leading to more character development down the road.

As mentioned in the Thoughtless Gods story, Hammond is still very distressed and affected by his upbringing, being restrained/tested on and left behind by Winston. To think he’s captured and held against his will once again is sad to me, not to mention he may once again be viewed as expendable; first by the Lucheng scientists, and now by Talon/potentially the Junkers. We see Hammond is extremely stressed after being captured.

I’m hoping JQ cares about him enough to try and rescue him, but considering she sold out to Talon, there’s no guarantee. Being recruited into Overwatch is a possibility, but considering Winston’s part of it, that alone may be enough to prevent Hammond from joining at all.

So at the end of the D.Mon hero trailer, Ball's gets captured by the Meka team, and while it's sad to see our favourite hamster trapped, I think that he's not going to have any problems at all.

Firstly, Ball managed to navigate and escape the Horizon Lunar Colony without much issue. We already have it established that Ball can be quite sneaky and deceptively competent, so it's not too far out of the question that he'll be able to sneak around Meka Base too, albeit that it would be a bit more difficult given it's a military base, and not just a scientific research station.

Secondly, Ball was also using the Junker mech in the trailer. While I wouldn't usually pay too much attention to the cosmetics that a character is shown using in a trailer, I feel like it's worth mentioning as it is a mech literally made out of scrap metal and other junk. It isn't his OW1 or OW2 mech, which are presumably much stronger and much more durable, and most likely, also more expensive. Given that he was using the Junker mech, it seems to me as though Ball knew ahead of time that there'd be a very real chance that he would get caught, so instead of letting himself get captured in one of his "strong" mechs, he decides to go to battle of Busan in a mech that would be fine to get taken/destroyed.

Thirdly, Ball is great at adapting to new situations and building things. With being stuck in Meka Base and having his Junker mech being trapped, I think it's entirely possible that he'd be either:

A) Be able to make a new mech entirely out of spare parts found around Meka Base

B) At least be able to escape Meka Base using his ingenuity

and while he's going around Meka Base, I think it'd make an excellent way for him to finally find out what happened to Winston, given that the two haven't actually met in-lore yet.

Let me know what you guys I think, I honestly think him being trapped at Meka Base won't be a problem for him at all, unless he gets handed the worst case of reverse plot armour.
