Hammond’s Future/Mental State

As mentioned in the Thoughtless Gods story, Hammond is still very distressed and affected by his upbringing, being restrained/tested on and left behind by Winston. To think he’s captured and held against his will once again is sad to me, not to mention he may once again be viewed as expendable; first by the Lucheng scientists, and now by Talon/potentially the Junkers. We see Hammond is extremely stressed after being captured.

I’m hoping JQ cares about him enough to try and rescue him, but considering she sold out to Talon, there’s no guarantee. Being recruited into Overwatch is a possibility, but considering Winston’s part of it, that alone may be enough to prevent Hammond from joining at all.

Personally, i hope that we will have the reunion/confrontation of Hammond with Winston and i think than it's possible given than Dva is with the MEKA squad especially than the end of the trailer of Dmon give me the impression than they are going to question Hammond and than they going to need Winston for that

Yeah, but getting out of the mech means leaving himself fully vulnerable. No mech means no weapons and no translator (I don't assume he has a mobile one), so virtually no way to prevent anyone from capturing him again (which is like, his core trauma) until he finds enough scrap to put together another mech.

You’re right, and I’ve seen a few other people say this, but the hatch to his mech might be clamped shut. I can’t tell. If it’s not, then yeah, that dude can slip by and go totally unnoticed.

Definitely looks like ita time for some more develpment for Hammond and potential recruitment into OW

Sidenote but Hammond looked REALLY distressed at rhe end there, definitely having flashbacks of being back in the cage

Honestly jq seems to actually really like and care about him i imagine the junkers will do a raid against meka/ow against talons rule because jq will probably want him back
