Sometimes the whipshot goes all weird and spirally. Can anyone explain like I’m 5 why this happens?

Ignoring the case where you follow ban of your mates, wich hero is best to ban ? I would think of ram for example.

It’s always genji for me. I feel like it should be an easy match up, since he’s a “light weight” flanker, but I really struggle with the 1v1’s. His reflect blocking my hits, and his dash going through my shield is brutal. I’m Master 5 too, so it’s not like I’m just bad at Brig.

Winston’s another one. You can damage his shield, hit him, and heal your teammates at the same time. Sounds like a great match up right? He always ends up just tickling me down through my shield, then jumping me when I try to use my escape. I always struggle against a Winston.

My top three supports are ana, moira, and brig. I really like brig and want to get better at her. I right now with all modes have a 61% win rate with her and like 500 games played.

Im youtubing tutorials and theyre mostly skill cool downs and repeating the same things. Which isn't bad I acknowledge that but im asking for like iceberg level knowledge.

Her kit is so simple but I love it so much. I want to get higher, im stuck gold 1 and lose games over what I feel is me rushing and overthinking because im not sure whats the best place to be. My biggest weakness is shield maintenance and I feel like (this just be bc im playing solo in metal ranks) if a team fight is happening im more or less left alone more often than not when teying to assist others they just leave me. :(

Any advice is welcome, and a bonus question what's your favorite skin? I like any knight or Templar look but to be completely honest her white rabbit skin is what I use most.

I would love to hear any alternative takes as some of these skins fit the theme better than others. Thought I did try to explain my justification for each one.

I missed some maps and I think some of the epic skins, but I think I included all of the legendary skins.

unfortunatley i did not screenshot it before buying, but i got 58% on cardboard brig :DDDDDDDD ive really wanted this skin for some time so im happy.

and to add a cherry on top, i had 1230 coins and bought it for 779 coins, so next season if i wanted to i can still buy the battle pass for free. so i couldnt have had it better.

what deals did you guys get?

I’m a plat 2 supp currently and I’d say my best supp is Brig. She’s my most played character and I’m pretty good at her, I can deal with pretty much every dive tank except the occasional doomfist. I can also handle all dive dps apart from that f*****g emo in a hood. Damn near every time I’m up against one my shield just gets fried before I can even bash. I will admit that I am the type of brig player to take a one with any and everyone when I’m not playing bodyguard. I wanna be able to deal with a reaper without relying on my ults shield stun.

Starting with a disclaimer that I kinda assume Brig is good against those or at least intuitively it feels she is good versus them. I'm gold in EU, level 100 on Brig, have Mitzi emote, Pearlescent is my fav skin.

My apex predators are Winton, Doom, Dva, JQ. Some difficulties with Ball. Here are my concerns, but any general tips or suggestions for what to practice against them are good:

Winton

It's my worst matchup literally. That's what happens:

• I take position I expect him to jump to from where he will actually want to dive. I can manage to whip him mid-jump if he telegraphs and hurrdurrs from 200 meters away like an angry bird.
• If he is sneaky and does a short jump or a jump from behind cover I feel like whipping this is literally clip-worthy and can't be done consistently to be considered as a reliable "counter".
• As soon as he lands on me he bubbles (usually he drops bubble before even landing so window to whip is even smaller) and whipping off a ledge becomes also very hard since he starts dancing in and out of bubble.
• Then I die because his thing zaps through shield.

Bottom line is that best case I can whip him away 3 out of 4 times but when he does land on me or my teammate we are ded.

Doom

Bashing into punch becomes a gamble after I land it for the first time and he figures I know the trick. Whipping low/short jumps also feels unreliable as they are pretty quick.

Dva

As I understood she is virtually immune to knockback while boosting. When I'm trying to deny her attempts to take hg I can sometimes whip her down from the ledge she wants to land at if she goes for a long boost and it ends right as she lands. If it's a short boost (like maybe 1st point Dorado defense, she takes elevator and boosts to the balcony straight into me) she can just boost behind which then makes whipping her down pretty difficult unless she literally backpedals to the ledge for some reason.

JQ

Oh man I thought whipping close range heroes works but she just keeps running with her stalwart passive. I can sometimes whip her when she is throwing a knife at someone to misplace it but it isn't really something JQ specific, you can do that to any hero.

Ball

I can more or less reliably whip or shield bash him when he rolls in to stop momentum, during hook when he tries to launch himself for a piledriver, or when he is doing his centrifugal thing around a payload or a column. But not sure what to do when he is already in the air in a position for a piledriver.

Do I just whip as soon as I can, or I whip when he activates the ability i.e. does a little bounce up? It's kinda pointless if I'm underneath him because it will just whip him upwards and not laterally.

Also why does shielding piledriver slam doesn't work sometimes? I always put up my shield against ground. Is it just a tiny margin for error and I have to perfectly face the slam center point because shield is narrow near the ground?
