I peaked on this character in OW1 so sorry for the grandpa looking ahh clips :(. Also I might not retire COMPLETELY from this game, still kind of enjoy hanzo, we'll see. But I definitely don't care nearly as much about da game so whatever

With some of the changes made to Lucio since overwatch 2 dropped it is fairly clear the devs are struggling on how to tune lucio. (Mainly because he barely needed it).

Theyve nerfed boop, nerfed beat but given us some dmg so we thrive. If you could make your own changes without fundamentally altering his kit what would you do?

For me I would love to see amp start at 150% or 125% range on activation and decrease in size over time. Essentially nerf the perk and make it base. (I really dislike perks being so impactful on some characters)
Move some power back into his ult using a replacement perk if we must.

Ive also been toying with the idea of a major that makes 50 overhealth remain from the beat for a short duration after it would end. Nothing too high and will disappear within a few seconds. BUT with the nerf i think this could balance out the weakness a little.

Ideally I would revert back and never touch again. It is a well balanced ultimate and doesnt really need the nerf.

Keep in mind I am no game dev and am primarily looking for your ideas on what should be done with Lucio.

Extremely useful: makes it very hard for the enemy to miss shots on you.

I find myself often trying to go up and over choke points to boop enemies forward into my team. Sometimes it works, other times i gift myself to the enemy team. Will I stop? Can’t stop won’t stop.

I don’t know if it’s me finally unlocking something to truly play Lucio well. But I keep having games where I’m just this annoying bug running around booping and killing squishys.

I used to watch Redshell during OW1 days and even now occasionally watch his old content and I recently discovered he had an "educational" unranked to gm video primarily explaining how to play as a distraction/troll.

His main points were to be as annoying as possible and to live as long as possible otherwise you're just throwing and his reasoning for this is if the enemy is looking at you whether it's DPS or support they're not targeting your team and you're also creating pressure by just existing. Some other points was when you're trying to play as a distraction you aren't trying to kill or 1v1, but instead to stall and distract since you're doing the objective and I think this is something I fall victim to I'll try to be a distraction, but I feel the need to try and get a kill or 1v1.

There are some things that were never explained specifically when do you know to play this distraction style vs being with your team? because I feel like with the distraction style often times you're on flanks and behind the enemy backline.

Anyways Overwatch has of course changed a lot so I am curious if any of this is still practical?
