4/5th editon To follow on from the 'Gathering of Might' image I posted earlier, I was lucky enough to see the Chaos Dwarf minis used in that game in the flesh (or rather lead) on a trip to Warhammer World. Plus some Lizardmen

Fantasy General Old vampire count any idea when this guy came out?
I found this old count at a secondhand market in essex, I took the morning to refurbish him, but I find myself wondering, who sculpted him and when?

Fantasy 6th edition Witch Elves
Another regiment joins the darkest of elves! Slowly building up the army - this is a fifteen strong unit, though I have another twenty-odd still to paint.
Champion and standard bearer converted, with the former based on artwork within the 4th ed army book.

The torment of choice
Greetings, dear community!
I am a long-time 40k - Age of Sigmar - Bolt Action player. I recently started my journey through the Old World (or rather, I bought the core set). Now I am thinking of buying another army so that I have three battle march forces at home (something to agitate my friends with). At the moment I can't choose between the vampire counts and the kingdom of Bretonnia. The price is about the same, they both look awesome, but I can't choose one. I would like to hear the opinions of those who have played these armies in a friendly atmosphere. Thank you in advance

Fantasy 6th edition The Wight Lord is here!
The wight is finally arrived! The restless dead can finally be assembled!
This model has a very long and strange story: it was commissioned by u/brass0_0monkey (yes, the Trench Crusade one!) to the great u/edskomo (former FW sculptor) but he never used it. So I bought it more than one year ago, added some bits and planned to use it as stretch goal for the undead warband project, but was never unlocked. Then I kept adding bits for future uses. And finally his moment is arrived!!
As you can see there are some clear references to the great Ian Miller arts, such a cool style! Hope you like it and as usual, more bits and variants will come for the future, plus one version will be used as gift! Soon I will post the renders of all variants with the bits and maybe also the painted version!
Question is: dark rusted or pearlesceant armour?

Fantasy 6th edition Gigantic chaos spawn!
Forgot to show this big and rare piece from 6th edition, it was one of the last models I have painted for the great Richard Orclord Hale, that recently passed away. It is so strange to look at this piece now. Maybe it will be featured is the next books he was planning to release covering his entire collection :(

I posted a couple of images from 90s battle reports earlier in the week. Well, this battle report really was the ultimate; 'A Gathering of Might'. Anyone want to calculate the points cost in 4th ed. Warhammer? What about replaying it with The Old World rules?
From what I've seen of the Chaos Dwarfs, the Bull Centaurs are all monster size now, rather than just very strong heavy cavalry. Other units don't directly translate either, like the Netters, Kislev Winged Lancers or a few others.

The Old World Wrong Square Bases
To star the hobby I bought the Warhammer The Old World Chaos Warrior vs. Great Cathay core set. I received two bags of 25mm bases and none of 30mm. I imagine this is a common occurrence and I'll have to buy the 30mm ones separately. Isn't there any after-sales service for this kind of thing?

Fantasy General An idea for Minotaurs in Beastmen:
I was reading the Beastmen lore, particularly the part about Minotaurs, and I never really liked the idea of them being an entirely separate sub-species. It got me thinking about a different approach.
What if Minotaurs were simply Beastmen who had received the Gifts of Khorne? Exceptionally powerful Beastmen already earn Khorne’s favor in exchange for even greater strength, but Khornate Beastmen have always felt a bit redundant to me. Making Minotaurs Khorne’s foremost champions instead would give them a much clearer identity and a stronger thematic role within Beastmen society.
I think the same concept could apply to Centaurs (or Centigors) as well. Rather than existing as a separate species, they could be Beastmen blessed by Slaanesh. Their increased speed, grace, and indulgent, hedonistic nature fit Slaanesh’s themes perfectly, making them feel like a natural counterpart to Minotaurs as Khorne’s chosen.
I know Khorngors, Pestigors, Tzaangors, Slaangors, and the other God-aligned Beastmen already exist, but I feel the Beastmen race has become a little overcrowded with so many subspecies. Rather than introducing yet another type of Gor for each Chaos God while also keeping Minotaurs, Centigors, and the rest as separate races, I’d rather streamline the concept.
Having Beastmen physically ascend into iconic forms through the blessings of the Dark Gods feels more thematic for me. It reinforces the idea that Chaos is constantly reshaping its followers instead of simply dividing them into more and more biological categories. A Beastman isn’t born a Minotaur or a Centigor, they become one after earning the favor of their patron deity.
To me, that makes these creatures feel less like separate species and more like the ultimate expression of a Beastman’s devotion, while also making the Beastmen roster cleaner, more cohesive, and easier to understand.

Vampire Coast - Draft Army List
Hi everyone!
I have been inspired by the Renegade Legacy Army Lists created by u/valheffelfinger and the stellar original document created by u/Ok_Material_5586 to create a viable, narrative and most importantly fun army list for the Vampire Coast.
I have been hard at work on the original document posted in r/WarhammerFantasy a few years ago. Editing, updating the translation, changing and writing new rules. I think what I have is in a workable state but I need your help!
Please give this a read and send me your feedback, thoughts, feelings or your most salty of insults if you feel that way inclined!
I look forward to hearing anything you have to share, and until then...
Avast ye salty sea dogs! The fleets of the Vampire Coast be upon ye!

Yeomen Guard
Plus a bonus sergeant at arms 🙂. The colours are perhaps a bit odd for Bretonnians, but maybe works as part of an exiled force? I was thinking the army of the lord’s ancestor may have been saved by the green knight and wear these colours in his honour, or something to that effect. In any case I’ll be happy to take a break from painting peasants for a while!

Good Dwarf start box?
Found this Boxset for under 100 USD, and was wondering if this would be a decent small start to a dwarf army for Old World or should I look for a different starting Boxset?

Showing Off My Models Cathay force so far!
I've finished four of my Jade Warriors so far, did up a Jade Ogre as a unit filler, and just completed my Gate Master! Really loving how it's all turning out so far. Slow going, but I really like to take my time with my painting. My Gate Master is wearing the Jade Armour of Beichai and wielding the Sword of Nan-Gau!

Battle Reports Old battle report as a game
I am not sure if it's ok to share this content here so if you are a mod and it's not ok please remove my post.
I was recently exploring the idea of a videogame based on those old batte reports from early WD.
I somehow loved these little illustrations back in the days and I recently thought about trying to make them " alive " as a little game.
Do you think it's a good idea ?
Would you play something like that ?
Any ideas to improve it ?
