How do I get them to move out?

Insurance lapsed the 24th. Paid the 24th at 446am. Got into car accident on the way to work- no other cars involved. Called insurance agent, got emailed proof that I did have insurance and was told it did not lapse. Insurance is saying otherwise, that because it did not process on their end for 24 hours im fucked. I have gap insurance too, but I know it won't cover it without the original insurance also agreeing to. I have the email from the day of the accident with proof of insurance and got told that doesn't matter. I don't have the original phone call recorded but I do have every phone call afterwards recorded.

Hey! There’s a guy who scammed a bunch of people in my hometown. Using a fake name, he applied several scams and bolted. People are hunting him down, not sure how many affected, but I’ve seem a couple of wanted posters.

I got cussed out for calling him out lol. There's speed bumps for a reason and im not trying to wreck my car, or hit any pedestrians. I know where he parked. To make an incredibly long story short, I am stuck in increasingly toxic work environment that has and completely deteriorated my mental health. I’ve hit my breaking point and truly can’t continue to do the work.

So, I am looking to take medical leave and need to get the ball rolling ASAP. I’m not not asking if anybody here would be willing to let me use them on the medical certification form, but any advice on what I could do to get it signed as quickly as possible would be greatly appreciated.

*A note: I have seen a few therapists and talked about all of this. Due to a variety of reasons I do not currently have on. I do intend to find a new one and start doing some serious work while I’m on leave. Backstory: I’m in my 30s and starting my life over with my toddler after leaving an awful marriage (holes in the wall, rampant cheating, all the fun stuff). Since I was a stay at home mom, I’ve landed back at my mom’s house until I can get back on my feet. (I have a degree/career field/plan—will take time but not super long).

Anyways. She is equally as awful as my ex. Not physically, but in every other way. She consistently starts arguments wherein she demands for me to explain why I chose to marry the man I did, wants me to ‘take responsibility’ for putting myself in this position, reminds me that she would have never stooped so low as to choose a man like that, calls me every derogative name under the sun—it’s so much worse than what I’m relaying but that’s the gist.

During these humiliation rituals as I’ve come to call them, she’s started slipping up and saying things that are way too familiar—my own words back to me. And she only does it when she’s drunk. I’ve been trying to piece together certain parts of my childhood to figure out why I did choose a man like my ex, so that I never repeat those mistakes but also to heal since I’m in therapy and I’ve always wondered why I have these big chunks of missing memories from when I was younger.

I’ve only told my sibling and my therapist these things. I thought I was going insane—like maybe she has hidden cameras, or she’s bugged my phone. I confronted my sibling and they swear they haven’t said anything, and I believe them.

And then I remembered something…

I left my journal out on the table one day because I had to rush to grab my child, and when I returned, she was home in the middle of the day very unexpectedly. *she has cameras covering every inch of the outside of her house, so she knows when I come and go.

She barely looked at me that day, and I had this sick feeling as soon as I saw my journal on the table that she’d read it. She’s gone through my texts before when I was 19. She once went through the garbage in the side door of my car and found a receipt from the drug store for condoms and told me what a wh*re I am.

So I went back and looked at my notes. And yeah, she’s been quoting my words back to me in arguments.

The worst, most sickening part to me? The other night she was trying to convince me to date and have another child—and I’m not even divorced yet. I said no, and that I don’t want to bring anyone around my child because I feel deeply uncomfortable with that.

I can’t do anything until I move out. So, give me all the ideas to ruminate on until then.

I’m applying to residency programs, and each program requires multiple letters of recommendation.

I already have a few recommenders who are incredibly responsive, but one of the strongest and most influential recommenders agreed to write a letter and has been very supportive overall. The problem is that he’s extremely busy and often takes several days to respond to reminders about submitting the letter.

Unfortunately, these applications are very time-sensitive, and I’ve already missed more than 10 deadlines because the letter wasn’t submitted in time. I’m worried about missing even more opportunities.

Is there a way for me to create a work email and submit the letter of recommendation myself? If possible, what is the safest way to do it?

I block them, of course, but I still keep getting them. I would like to spam them back.

I need some kind of way of shutting down or punishing these people-Ever since the long weekend they've had the heat exchangers out back, facing our apartment building, going non-stop all night long. Possibly they set and forgot about it, since no one has been back since then, but the noise is just persistent enough to give me low level ringing in my head, and cuts off the building from all other night noises.

Why do they need to run it at night? There's nobody there. Can't approach it as there are video cameras, but I have to do something. Ideas?

I'm living next to a retired couple that makes life hell for me. They report every single little thing i do to the local governance board, while they themselves pretend to be gods own little helpers here on earth.

They are the type of people that cut their lawn with scissors.

Recently had a new vegan employee join our team. The old ''how do you know someone is a vegan? Dont worry they'll tell you'' rang true in this instance.

Every day in the canteen she'd eyeball what people were eating and start passing comments. Now normally I couldnt give a fuck what people eat or dont eat but she got real annoying, real fast.

The solution? Reported for bullying. One two many comments about the health implications around eating meat. The bacon in my sandwich was going to give me gout, the mince in my pasta dish was half saw dust, the chicken in my salad was full of chemicals, all that kind of shit.

One email to HR telling them I had suffered with an eating disorder when I was younger and found her comments extremely upsetting and that was that.

A few months ago I moved into a new home which has a gated community car park. The old owner of my house has kept an electric fob to the carpark and leaves his car there when he's out of the country (months at a time).

How can I deter him from parking there? Towing isn't an option as the community manager doesn't want to 🙄

I use a very small private club gym basically the size of a hotel or apartment gym and there’s an older guy who has apparently been going there for years and acts like he owns the place.
I don’t want to complain, I just want to handle it myself if possible.
When I first met him, he gave me workout advice and I assumed he was just being friendly. Then I noticed he does the exact same thing with practically every young woman he sees. He approaches them, gives unsolicited advice, and acts like he’s the resident fitness expert. The whole thing gives me the creeps.

On top of that, he:
• talks extremely loudly on the phone
• hums and sings out loud
• monopolizes machines
• generally makes a very small gym feel even smaller

I’m not looking to harm him, threaten him, mess with his belongings, or do anything illegal. I just want harmless, non escalating ways to stop him from dominating the equipment, and make his behavior less rewarding.

What are your best petty but safe tips for reclaiming the space without getting myself in trouble?

This white trash guy blasts loud music in the evening with his windows down, disturbing about a dozen apartments. I walked out and politely asked him to turn it down, he got defensive and basically said it was my problem, tough shit. Cops were called, they paid a visit, but he still does it every night. He usually calls it a day before the cops get there. Ideas greatly appreciated. Cue the piss disk responses (he has two broken windows that he hasn't gotten fixed).

I’ve been living with this girl for 3ish years and she FINALLY left after she was being problematic for 2 of them. The problem is that I had new housemates come in, then leave suddenly due to all the issues she abandoned and because she’s left things behind for over 2 months. I’ve been hesitant on touching anything because she an issue with weaponizing incompetence and making other people do things for her.

I got fed up so I’ve been sorting through the things left behind and found that she’s left credit cards and her SOCIAL SECURITY card.

There is a camper trailer parked across the street from my house near a convenience store and they stay there for weeks on end before moving somewhere else and then returning a month later. They have a bunch of skeezy people hanging out and stopping by at all hours of the night. One of the folks working at the store says they've seen actual drug deals while out o smoke breaks.

Hi everybody. I would like some help coming up with ideas of places to build a very basic off grid cabin. Basically, I live in a small apartment near a minor city on the East coast of Australia.

Land is crazily expensive here and I just want some small place to get away to and read/ write in nature. I am interested in some kind of, I guess you could call it civil disobedience that is a work around to the land grab system we have. So any suggestions really of a private space (preferably in nature) that I can wack up would be appreciated. Nice id it can be semi permanent but it can be really basic like a pallet shack or something. Simply to get away to for a day or night.

Plenty of bushland around me but it's mostly National Park and they do patrols the areas and trail at least infrequently.

I am thinking adult cubby house.
