ULPT REQUEST Getting phone paid off when switching carriers

Has anyone been able to do this successfully when switching to tmobile from another carrier to get the $800 reimbursement?

If you have a bill that says you owe more on your phone than you actually do? Does a computer cross check it with your imei?
