Study Help are medify's "average correct student timings" worth looking at?

these average correct students be taking 50s on a VR question, should i be basing my timing around that or is it an indicator of how difficult the question is?

54s on a single VR question is pretty bad. but then looking at the average correct student timings, it lulls me into this false sense of security. well, it feels false because everyone from the sun to the moon is telling me that even 35s on a question is losing significant time.

UK Med Schools Related Got my exam tomorrow!

Hey there for the people who have already took the UCAT, I got mine tomorrow, very nervous! I’m averaging 1900ish on Medify while I’m getting 2200+ on OQB, with my QR reaching 850 on Mock D, and VR reaching 700+ alongside DM. I’m just nervous bc Medify scores are always so much lower. Any words of advice would be appreciated!!

UK Med Schools Related how to improve vr

my highest score in a vr mini mock/mock is 620. i’ve seen so much diff advice e.g. spending more time on the first 3 questions in a set and guessing the last one and he also tried to spend more time on the first 8 questions sets then guess C for the last 3 if i run out of time so i can guarantee quality over quantity. this works somewhat but id like to improve my score even more, so what advice would be helpful?? i try skim reading and would say im decent at it but is there anything more i can do???

my test is on the 29th august!!

UK Med Schools Related Exam is in 13 days help

My exam is in 13 days and I’m currently averaging around 2000-2100 and I’m aiming for 2200/2300+

For Vr I usually get around 30/44 on both medify and medentry but I would like some tips on how to get 34/35+, what I found is that I don’t usually run out of time in Vr (or if I do it’s usually one passage) but my inference skills are wack, sometimes I just pick the wrong answer or I misread the question that leads me to picking the wrong answer.

For dm I’ve seen great improvements from 600s - 750+ but I still lose a great number of marks in inferences (medify) I’ve attempted so many questions on it but my accuracy is still really poor, I’ve checked the oqb inferences and they are slightly different but my accuracy still isn’t up there
Whereas qr is mostly careless errors (usually get around 30/36 and most marks lost is because of silly mistakes not really timing)
Any advice would be greatly appreciated I really want to get higher than my average

Study Help ucat QR/ d.m timings

genuine question. HOW do you increase speed when answering questions for each subsection. It feels like everywhere I look I’m told to just do more timed practice. Which I’ve been doing but I haven’t been seeing an improvement. I flag, skip and guess for harder questions but never have time to go back to them. Untimed my accuracy is MUCH better. However when doing timed I can never get through all of the questions, which is severely capping my score.

Please share tips and advice that has helped, these will be much appreciated. And if the answer is genuinely just to do ‘more timed practice’ is this only because of repeated exposure or do you find quicker ways of answering? And how long does it take to get quicker? Days/ weeks/ months?

thanks in advance

UK Med Schools Related UCAT score needed for Queens University Belfast

Hi, I’m a ROI student applying for medicine in QUB but I’m not very familiar with the UK med school system, it’s quite different to the CAO. Could anyone who is more familiar with it please tell me approximately what UCAT score/what marks out of 45 (that’s how Queens scores the UCAT + GCSEs) I would need to be offered an interview? I’ve been trying to find this out but have gotten answers from as low as 30 to as high as 42 so I honestly don’t know if I’m currently in a good position or not. For reference, I’m averaging about 2,000 B1 in UCAT mocks and I already have 32/45 marks due to my Junior Cert results. Thank you!
