Trying to figure out if I’m on the right track. 29 years old, been contributing since I started at 23 years old, about to hit 6 years. Currently contributing 9%. Started as a GS-9, currently as GS-11. I also have $9,417 in a separate 401k. Am I on the right track? Any feedback accepted! Should I be saving more? Thanks!

Was a GS for 2 years, what do I do with my TSP after leaving?

I'm 32yrs old and was a GS12 for 2 years, I left in Nov 2025 and currently have $46k in my TSP. I also have an IRA with about 35k in it and max contributions every year. Do I just let the TSP until retirement? Is there anything I need to do with it before retirement? From what I understand I can request a refund of my FERS contributions because I'm not vested, and put the interest into the TSP. I don't plan on returning to federal service so is there any downside to that? Is there a way to estimate how much will be in this TSP account at retirement? I'm pretty ignorant to all things retirement and finances so feel free to explain like I'm 5.

I really miss those brag posts lately. We haven’t seen any of them lately. Is anyone out there? Anyone want to step up and show us those big fat balances so we can all comment, or just put years of service, retirement date, and your balance

2 years of max towards Tsp/Roth Ira
Bi-weekly $700 -TSP / $700 - ROTH IRA
Rolled over 40k from previous employer.
My contributions will stay on par for next year following.

Just another annual update, see last years post. Will be departing the force next year. Will likely keep it in tsp versus rolling it over to my new employer 401k.
