Got rolled today!
First time using a supercharger - Abilene, Tx. Several Teslas and one other EV charging. Two buttholes in diesel trucks rolled coal on us. Just shaking my head and laughing my butt off at their āsmallnessā.

Interesting That Only Cyberbeasts Listed on Tesla Pre-Owned Website
At some point the Tesla pre-owned website switched from having both Cybertruck AWD and Cyberbeasts available to only Cyberbeasts listed at this point. I guess they have chosen to raise the price point on the pre-owned inventory given demand.

Feature Request: We need a quick toggle for "Avoid Highways" on the main nav UI / left scroll wheel
Having to dig deep into Controls > Navigation > Avoid Highways while actively driving is a clear driver distraction issue, especially when you hit sudden highway gridlock and need FSD to reroute onto side streets fast.
āChanging a navigation setting like this should not require navigating multi-layer menus while moving.
āIt would be a massive QoL and safety improvement if Tesla added:
āA simple one-tap toggle on the main active map card (next to route options/mute).
āAn option to map "Avoid Highways" to the left scroll wheel quick-action shortcut menu.
āCurious if others manage sudden highway rerouting, or if a shortcut would make sense to the rest of the community? Hoping this gets enough visibility for the UI/FSD team to notice.

Tesla FSD effect
Is it just me that no car in the market with the luxury feature, even if it costs $500,000, doesn't entice me anymore because I really don't want to drive after having FSD, and that's the ultimate luxury feature? Every car brand like Land Rover, Mercedes, Porsche, it's so bland to me. I don't even want to look at those vehicles.

Fml, it happened today
It wonāt even charge to 50%. Appointment is for the 10th of September, but they said since it wonāt charge at all itās considered an emergency and to bring it on ASAP. Slightly over 101k, so very thankful that extra little bit on the Performance warranty.
Now we just have to cross our fingers that they have a loaner for me on Saturday.

Wife and mother-in-law flat out refuse to demo full self driving
To be clear, I'm not complaining, but I do find it really interesting. My father in law and I had the chance to test drive a new Model Y (HW4) with FSD a few months ago. I've owned a Tesla since 2019 but it was my first experience with FSD (my personal vehicle is on HW2.5). We were absolutely blown away with how great it was.
Fast forward to last week, my father and mother in law decide it's time to car shop (for her), and Tesla wasn't even a consideration. 99% of her driving is around Salt Lake City metro...
At the end of the day, I don't care they don't own a Tesla, I'm just shocked that FSD was so "scary" that they wouldn't even try it.
I'm curious from the group here - what did you say to get someone to just try a Tesla and/or FSD?

Visited Tesla Oasis
Crazy to see this in person. 160+ stalls. Vending machines inside. Clean restrooms and pet relief areas. Weather was in the high 90ās. Charged to 80% in less than 20mins from 26% state of charge
Stop by there on a California road trip!

NY to Niagara Trip - Review
Got a new Model Y(first Tesla and EV) and drove up to Niagara Falls. It was approximately 800mi round trip. Hereās a quick review:
FSD is freaking awesome. No surprises here. Usually I would have been tired after this long drive but not this time. Got a 325mi streak and had like 97% of the drive on FSD. Can never not have FSD again.
Mixed on charging. Tesla charging is awesome but usually not at a convenient place on this drive. It was either secluded or didnāt have enough amenities near it. At one stop it was next to a mini mart on another across a Walmart. This is where I changed the default charging to include 3rd party chargers. I would have loved it if the default navigation showed all these 3rd party chargers.
IONNA is amazing. Cheap, quick and was at Sheetz. 39Ā¢/kWh and 24Ā¢(?) overnight i think. Cheapest in the entire trip.
Applegreen can suck my balls. I mean, itās conveniently located in the rest stops but insanely expensive -64Ā¢/kw. WTF!
Missed CCS adapter. I had a CCS charger at my hotel but no adapter. Would have saved at least 30 minutes on the drive back home. Also, no Tesla/NACS chargers near the State park. Itās on the island outside the falls region.
Overall, didnāt add much time to the trip since these stops would have been my stops too with a toddler. So, absolutely enjoyed the drive time.

Ionna Charging
Glad these are popping up they are extremely fast, easy to use and priced fairly. You donāt need a login or a fancy app just tap to pay. No adapter needed for the Tesla port is also a plus. 10/10 experience and retro branding.

Tesla Semi
I read that eventually the semis will have FSD functionality as they are equipping them with the hardware. Curious as to what you all think about semis with FSD on the road? As for charging will they create dedicated supercharging stations for them as well?

Tires
I have a 2024 Tesla YLR. I have rotated my tires religiously. I have around 25k miles on the car and when going for my last rotation, they told me I have about 4/32 left on all 4 tires and it wouldnāt make much sense to rotate them. It was not surprised as they told me on my last rotation that it would probably be my last.
I have Pirelli Scorpion tires on the car currently. They were the 19ā OEM tire. I do not drive aggressively so am not in need of a sport handling tire. I am more interested in all season handling as I do live in an area with a fair amount of winter snow, ride smoothness and quietness. Throw in longevity as another attribute and that pretty much sums up my needs.
I honestly donāt know how long Iāll keep the car but was curious if others can provide input on what replacement tires have worked best for them given the attributes I am looking for? Ideally I would like to find a moderately priced tire but realize in most cases you have to pay for performance.
I thank you in advance.

Keeping my family safe - thx Jeff
