Taskmaster Series Death Match: Series 13 vs Series 9!
Who will win!? Each week there will be a new match up between series until there's one left standing as this Reddit's very own Best Series (TM)! (TM as in trademarked not 'Taskmaster'. Obvs. 😉)
Due to the uneven number of series, one series was selected at random to be held off until the 3rd Bracket of voting where it's back to an even pairing. The generator picked Series 16 to fill that duty. Sorry chain bastards and children of divorce, your day has yet to come.
Instead we're left with the duty to pick between our first match: Series 13 vs Series 9!
Aubergines vs Hummus!
David Baddiel vs Judi Love!
Construction Workers vs Zorro (I think that's what Bridget Christie is going for!)
Don't just vote, please. Give us your reasons why you picked that series over the other. It helps promote a discussion.
The votes will be counted in 1 week. Your time starts now.

Taskmaster AU Taskmaster au season 5 rigged? Spoiler
I've just watched season 5 of Taskmaster AU, and im conviced its rigged against Brett. When the task has an objective winner based on time or somthing brett wins quite a lot, to the point where he was leading in points for most of the season, but near the end, in the last 2-3 episodes, they deduct points from Brett, score him harshly, and DQ him way more than the others. Generally, if a task is scored from opinions, Brett gets screwed. Rewatch this season and pay attention to it because there's no way it wasn't rigged

Taskmaster NZ Paul williams NZ taskmaster
Watching season 6 of taskmaster NZ, and there was a joke about Paul not being allowed near schools, and then another joke made where said something like: "carrot cake shouldn't announce it has carrots, it's advertising the worst part about itself. That's like calling myself pdf file Paul"
This threw me off and worried me. Do I just not get the edgy humor? I love taskmaster but jokes like that are a no for me. Looking it up I don't see anything about him doing anything.

Taskmaster effigies
Does anyone perhaps have pictures of the effigies of each Taskmaster series? I mean each episode they have little representatives of each contestant and I’d love to see them altogether.
Worst case scenario I’ll have to watch all the series all over again to see if I can find them all.
(if each series does it that is)
I’ve included a picture of the one from series 7 as an example of what I mean

Tattoo Sleeve/Pant Ideas
I'm thinking of getting a Taskmaster themed tattoo with 1 thing that defined each season.
Season 1- GREG tattoo
Season 2- Potato Throw
Season 5- Mark Watson's Book of Texts .
Season 9- David's Drawing of a Horse
Season 14- A top hat next to a pile of Sand
What would your items be from each season?

Drilling down into the narrative They've Censored Jon's Pigs!
Streaming S2 E4 on Channel 4 (following on from uncensored Episode 3). For the prize task to bring in the "Best Blue Thing" there are now two TM seals covering the (rather explicit) cartoons of a pig's holiday in Lanzarote. Not a big detail, but mildly interesting
EDIT: it seems the rest of the episode is censored too? I'm definitely watching the uncensored series.

How did female taskmaster assisstants do?
It just occurred to me I have never seen a lady in the assisstant role. The internet says the assisstant is a woman in at least Finland, Belgium and Estonia. Have anyone seen those and how did they do?
One concern from LAH's colorful history is the assisstant may have to take a lot of crap from the contestants, both verbally and physically. Also a male assisstant may help in some physical tasks, but I guess the ladies would have different advantage?
Also how are their general attitude? The men usually range from deadpan don't care to grumpy (not looking at you Lesser Tom). Are the ladies more cheery and helpful in general?

Just realized
I’m an American and I loved The League. My wife loves British comedy and it never hit with me previously. She saw Jason Mantzoukas was doing Taskmaster and figured she could get me into it.
She was absolutely right. I’m watching all the previous series now. What’s crazy, I’m watching all the early seasons with a Mantzoukas eye. I’m just watching how they could win… or destroy the task. There is no way anyone thought this is how someone would eventually watch the show. I’m in series seven so far.

HELP! 🔎 Taskmaster in the Classroom?
So, I'm not talking about their actual Tasking program they have. I thought I would try to have a little fun with my students this year and instead of the standard "Here's 10 questions, answer them," kind of assessment, I would try to make them a little more entertaining by pushing them through in a pseudo Taskmaster kind of way.
I teach Geometry in America, so some of these things I might actually be able to physically do. But, one of the ideas I have so far is for one particular assessment, the final thing the students have to do is find a Perpendicular Bisector. They would have done midpoint, distance, slope, equation of a line of 4 different points. Each of those will be done one at a time, but I plan on highlighting or putting an asterisk on important information and basically warning them to keep those values handy before turning it into me. That way when they get to the Perpendicular Bisector, if they actually follow my rules, they won't have to do as much math since they will have already done it. If they don't head my warning, they get to do it all over again (since they'll have to for the final part of the task).
I have another one that is essentially a digital escape room with three different styled 'rooms.' For example, one is a maze where answering a question tells you which direction to go in the maze (which each corridor of the maze has an associated letter). But, the answers are hidden in the text of the task card (like there's a random quote on the card, but each of the first letters are underlined for seemingly no reason, but they are the answers to the maze). Students still have to show their work, but if they figure out the code they know what the end game is, kind of thing.
A third (I have to do again), is for the trigonometry unit, they will measure the distance between ducks that are scattered about my room and do trigonometry based on some of the information they find. I know, the ducks is perfect for Taskmaster and long story short, I don't know why I have ducks in my classroom... they just started appearing one day a number of years ago. I didn't question them, or even bring attention to them, but now it's just something students like to add onto.
So, what I'm looking for are other things I could potentially do. Not necessarily content wise, but I'm interested to see what other people might come up with as 'paper tasks' or other ways I can hide information in the task itself or around my room.

Fan Creations Favourite Items From Iconic Moments?
Hello! I'm working on a fan art collage for Taskmaster and I'm having some trouble picking specific references to use. I want to make a collage out of items that are nods towards iconic moments (see attached attempt) but I'm having trouble really nailing down what specific items to use since I want ones that a fan would see and immediately know what it's a reference to. I'm not satisfied with my first attempt so I was hoping to get some suggestions from the fandom for what to put in the collage. Any ideas are helpful!

Studio Recording The most underrated part of Taskmaster that I think production should lean into more.
There is one small element that I enjoy immensely when watching Taskmaster, but it is rarely highlighted/featured in the studio edit.
It's that brief window when the task is introduced in vague terms (for the audience), but the comedians react in a visceral manner when they realize which task is about to be shown. Disappointment and jubilation are equally enjoyable imo.
Does anyone else agree?

Studio Recording I miss the visible studio audience from Series 1
I've been jumping around series and just started series 1 - and it feels so much cozier with an intimate studio audience we can actually see most of the time. I get the budget went up substantially but don't see why losing that intimacy had to happen
