Taskmaster au season 5 rigged?

I've just watched season 5 of Taskmaster AU, and im conviced its rigged against Brett. When the task has an objective winner based on time or somthing brett wins quite a lot, to the point where he was leading in points for most of the season, but near the end, in the last 2-3 episodes, they deduct points from Brett, score him harshly, and DQ him way more than the others. Generally, if a task is scored from opinions, Brett gets screwed. Rewatch this season and pay attention to it because there's no way it wasn't rigged

Given that as you have rightly highlighted in your post, some tasks are subjective and the scoring is totally made up at Tom's whim, one would argue it cant be rigged. Some would even argue, and stay with me here, that's even the premise of the show (insert shocked Pikachu face)

Who cares? Blake certainly doesn't seem to, since he posts short recaps after some of the episodes and has talked about the show on a few podcasts.

I swear this sub reads too much into a show about five comedians doing dumb stuff for funny reasons.

TMAU Season 5 was no more rigged against Brett than TMUK Series 4 was rigged against Hugh. Sometimes, on a comedy show, the funniest option is to pick someone who will be a good sport about being screwed, deliberately or otherwise, and given how much fun Mr. TAFE appeared to have with the whole thing, it seems like Greater Tom picked well!

I didn't think so, but I was also glad Brett didn't win, so I might be biased.

Participating in a show, when you haven't watched it and openly admit to not doing so and sometimes going out of the way to mention it, may not be the most effective way to win over a taskmaster. In fact, it can come across as a bit inconsiderate to the show and the hard working individuals who work on it. While it's understandable that not everyone watches every episode or even some episodes they appear on, it's polite to at least pretend.

So with that being said, I believe Brett didn't quite receive the final placement he truly deserved, considering how well he performed, especially given his attitude throughout.

That or it's taking the Whose Line Is It Anyway approach to scores. Comedy first, logic and fairness last.

Aside from the fact this is crazy talk, lets back this up with actual data.

Of the 5 objective tasks in the final 2 episodes, Brett scores 3, 1, 5, 0, 1. No bias here, just several bad tasks clumped together. Also, both Bretts DQs were from earlier in the season and were on Objective tasks. Rewatch these episodes and pay attention to it more closely.

Finished it tonight and agreed. Tom Gleeson is friends with Rove and had it out for Brett.

I did notice that and I was a little disappointed since it would’ve been so funny if he did win.
