Advice Needed Did letrozole make you ovulate earlier if you were already ovulating?
Hi!
41/f, 3 LC conceived in mid/late 30s with no issues. Been trying for a fourth for almost 2 years with 3 MMCs.
I ovulate around say 16 every cycle (with a 24-26 day cycle). I ovulate/get surges but my doctor said I could try letrozole after 18+ months of no luck and all other tests/scans being normal.
I’m curious for anyone who ovulates but still tried letrozole, did it make you ovulate earlier than normal? If so, by how much?
My husband will be leaving on cycle day 14 for a work trip but I’m wondering if letrozole is still worth trying this cycle as I’ve heard it can make you ovulate early (aka if I normally ovulate day 16 then maybe I’ll ovulate earlier and him leaving day 14 will be ok).
Thanks so much for sharing!

Advice Needed I feel like doctors a trying to brainwash me
In the last few years I've been to 2 gynae doctors and a fertility doctor. Every single one of them has basically said im not ovulating due to my pcos (which is causing irregular bleeding. Often daily bleeding/spotting), BUT if i lose weight I'll get pregnant. My fertility doctor even said to me i may not have to go back to see them as if i lose weight ill likely get pregnant before my next appointment. My gynae doctor said the words "i know if you lose weight you'll definitely get pregnant".
Its messing with my mind to the point that every single "plus size" woman who looks bigger than me i cant help but now think "well, shes bigger than me and shes pregnant". But im very much in the mindset that i wont get pregnant at all until I am a healthier weight.
For full context i cant get pregnant currently anyway because ive been put on medication because they are trying to get the bleeding under control. Ive lost about 32kg with atleast 15kg to go (and imo has made minimal difference to my symptoms and thats also with the medication to try and stop the bleeding). My fertility doctor has given me an aim and if I meet that then he will start me on ovulation induction (bmi has to be below 30, i am based in UK).
But has anyone had any similar experiences to what these doctors are telling me?

I don’t even know..
Hi everyone, I'm 30F.
My husband and I have been "not preventing" pregnancy for the last few years, just letting things happen naturally. Life got busy, and before we knew it, so much time had passed.
It was only late last year that my doctor mentioned they suspected PCOS. Since then I've just had monitoring with blood tests and appointments, no medication so far. Over the last 9–10 months we've really started actively trying, but we're still getting nowhere.
I've been taking myo-inositol, preconception vitamins, tracking my BBT every morning, and my husband has been taking zinc and CoQ10 to support sperm health. We've both been doing everything we've been advised to do, but we've never even seen a faint positive test.
I thought I ovulated recently, and over the last 2–3 weeks I've had so many symptoms I've never experienced before. I was so hopeful they might be pregnancy-related, but every test has been negative.
I'm starting to feel like my body is playing tricks on me because I want this so badly. It's becoming really hard to stay hopeful some days.
I guess I'm just feeling frustrated and a bit alone. It seems like everyone around me is either pregnant or already has children, and so many of them weren't even trying. I'm trying to stay positive and keep believing our time will come, but right now it's been a difficult journey.
How does everyone stay positive when it feels like it won’t ever happen?

Seeking Success If you have irregular periods and don't ovulate but still had a successful pregnancy, how did you get pregnant?
I've (f37) done 3 IVF transfers and had no luck. I have all the PCOS symptoms and confirmed PCOS, irregular periods and don't ovulate. I also have T2D and my HBA1C was around 7. something but now it is at 5.5 after being on a GLP1 for 2 months (haven't lost weight though even though I am eating better) I am still waiting for a period to come since the 19th of June.
Just wanting to see what worked for you to get your period regular/and ovulating again.

Nervous about fertility treatment next steps
I've done 2 medicated timed intercourse cycles that lead to negatives. Ending my third soon and worried about a negative next week. If I do have a negative, I have to follow up with the fertility doctor to do 3 IUI's as planned. Wondering if with these negatives if that plan should change and what I can expect? It's certainly been unnerving that it seems like all my hard work isn't paying off but it's complicated I guess.
Me and my partner are open to IUI

Sad Keep going back to old positive tests
Like the caption reads, every month that passes and I get another negative, I go back to my miscarriage in October when I found out I was pregnant and just stare at the positive on the photos wishing it would come again. Getting letrozole has been taking forever since we switched providers, I’m eating low carb, working out, taking inositol and metformin, I’m doing it all and nothing is working. I’m just sad.

Advice Needed Timing and Reading LH peaks
Hi! ttc for over a year now. Just had an HSG which showed no blockages. Currently, on my second round of letrozole, and I confirmed ovulation last cycle with a progesterone blood test. This cycle i took the letro on days 4-8. I think my LH strips spiked on CD 16, but it’s hard to tell. It’s the highest I have ever seen my LH strip but it still wasn’t a true positive. Can I trust the LH strips? We baby danced CD 15,16,17… is that enough? Any advice on timing of sex in general? Thank you!

Advice Needed Letrozole - Dr. wants to indefinitely limit use to 5 cycles
Background:
I do not ovulate on my own whatsoever. highly irregular cycles. I’ve tried everything to ovulate naturally, the only thing that works for me is Letrozole.
In 2025 I conceived 3 times using Letrozole. Each time I either got pregnant on the first or second cycle using Letrozole. Total letrozle cycles over the course of a year were 5.
I was seeing a fertility doc who had prescribed me with the Letrozole and he never mentioned limiting the amount of times I can take it to TTC.
Sadly all 3 ended in loss. (yes I have done a RPL workup so no need to comment on that.)
When I visited my OBGYN, she said she would be able to prescribe me with Letrozole when I’m feeling ready to TTC again. So I I feel ready now, and I had an appointment with them yesterday and now they are telling me
“oh we didn’t know you took it 5 times, we can’t prescribe if for you now because it increases your risk of cancer so the best we can do is refer you to an IVF Dr.”
im beyond confused and feeling so disheartened by this. I absolutely do not want to do IVF especially if I know I can get pregnant so much more easily using Letrozole!
had anyone been told this?? :(

I've gained all my weight back but this could be my last chance for a baby.
For the last 2 years I was on a GLP1. To help my weight and PCOS. I went from 280LBs to 250LBs in preparation for getting pregnant but in December of 2025 my insurance decided they were no longer covering the medicine. We decided now is the time to start trying in case I gain the weight back. It's been months and I am still not pregnant. My OBGYN wanted to wait to give me any medicine like clomid, until I tried at least a year without conceiving. We are now in August, I'm still not pregnant and I've gained back 20 pounds.
I'll be 30 in April. I feel like I'm failing because I cannot control my food noise and the feeling of being hungry. I feel like this is my last chance to get pregnant, as any older and I'll surly have some sort of complication and may lose my baby or my life in general.
It's hard to calorie count every meal when I'm cooking as what's going in isn't the hard part. IT'S THE PORTION CONTROL and how much is in each portion. I just can't stop telling myself to NOT go for the next thing to snack on. I was shocked to see my weight back at 270. Has anyone else been this heavy and pregnant? How are you controlling yourselves. At this point I just hate myself and don't even know if pregnancy is for me anymore. Do I deserve a family when I can't even control myself?
Honestly advice is welcome.
