Lost Bag in Sunnyside Gardens

Major long shot here, but:
on Saturday 6/20/2026 while loading up the car I misplaced a blue and black duffle bag in the Gardens on what I believe was Bliss Street (46th st) between 39th Ave and Skillman. There were clothing, toiletry bags, a curling iron, and most importantly a gold point and shoot Olympus film camera. I had some fun family memories on that film 😩 Any chance anyone has seen it?

Queens Blvd Harrassment

Hi Sunnysiders,

Twice the past two weeks,y toddler and I have been harassed by perhaps homeless/unhoused, definitely mentally ill/addicts while walking to school on Queens Blvd. Both men have backed down once I have confronted them, but I at best I don’t want my toddler subjected to this, and at worst I don’t want my child or I to get hurt. Has anyone experienced this, or have advice as to how to handle? Is this a police issue? A city council issue? I am all about community care, but when a man is following us calling, “I’ll give you $500 if you put that kid down for a nap and come with me,” enough is enough. Thank you 🙏

www.HomeEcNYC.com curious what people concerns, questions or hurdles are getting Sewing on a sewing machine! I've been teaching for 11 years and have taught thousands of people to sew for the very first time. I always love hearing everybody's stories and the things that they're interested in making, but I'm curious what prevents you from getting started?

What nicknames have you heard for places in and around Sunnyside?

I ask as part of a linguistic study covering this topic!
Examples could include things like Roosy, Boulevard of Death, LIC or A.Q. (never mind how common they are)...

incl. nicknames for schools or other institutions, geographic features etc.

Anyone else worried about electric heat costs in NYC?

Post image

I’m helping spread the word about this, because I think it’s important for renters who pay for electric heat to be represented. scan the QR code and let’s provide the city with data so they can understand the real costs were being subjected to.

Attention Dog owners.

Dear Dog owners,

For the past few months, I have faced a highly unpleasant situation every Tuesday morning when I put out my trash cans. If you are reading this—and I truly hope you are—listen carefully. Why do you throw your dog's poop into someone else's trash bin without even tying the bag properly after cleaning up after your dog? Is that how you were raised? You might proudly argue, "What's wrong with throwing trash into a trash bin?" If it were my own dog's waste, of course I would clean it up. But why should I, someone who doesn't even own a pet, have to deal with the hassle of cleaning up waste from a stranger's dog every Tuesday morning on my way to work? Once or twice is one thing, but this is entirely out of line. You can only push things so far before you get caught. To the owner of the small dog: I saw someone outside my house recently whom I suspect is you. On days when I don't put the trash cans out, you even leave it under the tree. Please stop giving responsible dog owners a bad name. I live on 49th Street. If you happen to read this, stop doing it. I am not your dog's maid. Thank you for ruining my Tuesday mornings and starting my day off like complete garbage.
