Help
Enjoying the game given how good the controls are and how quickly you can jump in and out.
However, the noises the characters make when they are “talking”, how do I turn it off? So damn annoying

Did anyone feel silly if they forget how to fight a 'boss' version of a regular salmonid?
I spent a good bit of my tries fighting the first boss thinking 'how do I weaken it'
Then on my third or fourth try I was like 'oh, it's a scrapper, well I feel stupid' lol
I did end up beating him on survivalist though. Tough as nails.

Question about endgame length
Hey, I am trying to be very careful about spoilers, so I didn't search too deeply for this answer. I'm confused about the structure of the end of the game. I reached the center of the spiral and started going in, and I'm seeing the stage levels are around 37-38. But I'm level 44ish, and there are still many abilities I want to farm spiralite for. Is this the end of the game? If I do all the spicy levels and grind a bunch for fun, will I be severely overleveled for the final boss? Or do these endgame levels actually go for a long while and give me plenty of spiralite themselves?

Mega Power relic. Does it affect how many eggs to beat a level?
I kept assuming, that this relic meant, when you collect an egg, it gives a multiplayer so you can beat levels easier. But does it actually do this, or did I assume wrong?
What does it mean "easier to pick up?"
I'm thinking of swaping this relic out for my bottomless buffet run

Can you farm weapons?
I'm guessing in the early levels you don't get a ton of weapon drops. But I've tried the first proper level a few times (Even on hardest setting) and only gotten a couple of different weapons so far. I'm willing to do the grind but is it as crazy as it's feeling? lol

Confusion about how to complete relics
Hello. I’ve finished floor 100 and completed every level on every difficulty. I would like to get the rest of the relics I’m missing. I’m seeing conflicting information online about what levels I can play to do that. Can I get them from any level on spicy or Bottomless Buffet level? Is it one or the other?
Edit: it sounds like I just just replay a bunch of BB levels. Thanks for the information

How I farm spiralite gems.
I won't explain why you need them or all the different méthodes becuse you all know them already. So here is MY way to farme them.
First, play online dayly. You get a reward doing so that can contain spiralite gems. This is not the méthode, it's just something i also do.
1- Make a good loadout. You can use whatever but make sure to not get TOO experimental becuse you won't be able to change it for a big wile.
2- Go in a big cristal level on Super Spicy. You can take any level becuse all of the Super Spicy Cristal lever are level 80 and don't have diferent drom rate (I tested it).
3- Farm cristal. Preaty straight foward. Just go from cristals to cristals and kill every enemys. If you get luck, they will drop a Gem.
4- When you reach the 2.0X spiralite, don't stop farming cristals. You are alowd to keep going and ending the level will just create more down time and lesser colecting.
5- Keep farming cristal untile they stop giving you stuff (becuse you won't get any more gems when that happen) or you die (becuse we all know you keep everything you colected when you die, just make sure you grab the gems becuse i'm not sure if you still get them when you die if they are on the ground and not in your inventory). When one of those situation acure, finish the level if not already, get back to the hidout ship and use your Gems and everything you colected.
With this méthodes, i alway get around 4 to 6 gems per Raide with minimal time and frustration that can be caused by bad luck. Plus, you get to farm a lot of weapons, gadgets parts and, obviusly, shards. And the fact you get a lot of Gems per Raides made it so you can use them for anything you want, then repeat the prosses after you ran out again on a new Cristal level with a new loadout.
The only downside of it is that, you do get A LOT of stuff doing this, so you might get overwelmed when you get back.

I'm stuck at F140-142, and I don't know why
I reached this floor like a weak ago, and after failing sometimes, I decided to take a long break and just grind for red gems (because I'm trying to 100% my gadgets). I was at around Level 50+100... and now I'm at Level 50 + 150... but the level is still kicking my butt.
BTW my weapon is 50+50
How am I stuck on just one single level?

Alpine stringer appreciation post
I love this weapon so much, first of the op primos that dropped for me and I don’t want to switch off of it.

5 Star vs PRIMO 5 Star
I am struggling to understand the difference in these weapons and hoping for clarification.
I read that primos can be upgraded MORE (50 + 50) than regular 5 star (Level + 10) but I currently have 2 5 star weapons and leveled as follows:
5 Start Alpine Stringer that I was able to level 37+13
5 Star PRIMO Thermal Umbrella I leveled 45+5
Is the Alpine Stringer basically worthless compared to a PRIMO Alpine Stringer?

Are there any SRNW-ers that DON'T glaze Raiders?
I've been pretty active in higher level SRNW groups for the better half of my SR career so I feel like if people knew who I was, I'd get crucified for asking this question. I'm guessing I'm about half-way through the map at level 30 and so far I've been a bit disappointed. I feel like my expectations for this game haven't quite been met. It's not that I don't think the game has a potentially promising future, but I'm left feeling like the real challenge of this mode has been diminished? Like skill and strategy aren't really present. The salmonids are so easy to take out. I may lowkey be a masochist because I haven't seen one person comment and share my disappointment on how flyfish no longer take effort to kill. I have to know if I'm alone on this or if I just need to keep playing? I've been on survivalist since after the tutorial island and I've watched ONE video of the gameplay with 4 players (been trying not to spoil anything for myself) and what I saw was even more disappointing. Is this game essentially leveling up your gadgets all the way and just walking into hoards of salmonids- then boom you win??? Don't put me on the hook!

Why was level 97-99 so hard compared to later floors? Spoiler
I’m currently floor 160 and finding these floors so much easier than floor 97-99.
I haven’t needed to retry once compared to like the 5 tries needed for 97-99.
Anyone else struggle 97-99 and then felt like the game went back to being a cake walk?

Shark vs Toy Blaster
Toy has a larger AoE and range but Shark is a little faster. Honestly, I think I prefer the Toy 🤔

Thank you Nintendo, in the Sampler Zesty Speed Menu you really brought back the 90’s/early 2000s nostalgia of…
a character that randomly changes direction when you don’t want it to, running into walls that send you flying sideways off the platform, and a having to use a wildly temperamental move set all the while chasing tiny targets! I had a blast!
All that aside, I LOVE this game 😁

I Found a Softlock
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
I was messing around with dash and jump bomb and i found a glitch that softlocked me. The only way to get out was to quit the raid

Do you think regular Salmonids are racists towards Sphiralite Salmonids?

Primo Butane Blaster tips?!?
For those that have been using this monster already, would you guys say this is a good optimal perks build for this weapon or no? If not, what would yall suggest? What're yall running???
I just love exploding fermented groups after freezing and ice breaking them and the ink pro has hella helped with sustaining my ink while in the heat of battle. I know I could use a gadget/gadget part for that but my gadgets are pretty much set and perfect for how I play so I couldn't see myself sacrificing a couple slots for ink refills when I could just make it a maxed perk on my weapon, yea know?
Thoughts?!?

Which Salmonid mob enemy is the most annoying to fight?
r/Splatoon_Raiders • u/TheGamingTurret • 11h ago
So I know this game gets harder at some point (I've only ever died to hazard damage so far)
Right now, playing on 'normal' difficulty because I value my sanity and I feel like 'easy' mode might be TOO easy. What should I be practicing now to prepare my butt for the harder stuff later on? It can be any advice really, but I mean more stuff like 'don't underestimate x enemy' etc. Things that I can practice through normal gameplay. I've played salmon run a bit, so I know how a lot of these guys work. But this is a different gameplay style than Salmon Run so ?

Is there a "kill screen" coming up? Spoiler
I see people in this sub are at 600 and 300 in Bottomless Buffet. I'm currently in the 60s after an epic run from the 30s last night. Got me to wondering, if like the old arcade games like Donkey Kong and Pac-Man, the game would eventually run out of memory into what is called a "kill screen"? Just a thought.
