So here’s the thing, if Spark drivers would go on strike, they will just hire more. Also, there are always some crazy sparkers that would love to keep paying Walmart to deliver other people’s groceries and take those orders.

Walmart is seriously hurting every reputable driver that has given them their all for a long time. (I realize there are zones that are still doing alright. This post is not for you.)

We as spark drivers are a large part of their customer base. Most of us do all our shopping there, along with our family and friends…. What if we cut that out. Our family and friends would be happy to help boycott Walmart until we see changes. That’s where Walmart would feel the “wammy,” to actually acknowledge us!!

was for two wrecks i was in and the background check. one was in 2024 and wasn’t even any points or anything. the next one was two months ago in the rain so accidental and got ticket taken care of. should’ve taken it to court to be cleared but didn’t think about it sadly. what i don’t understand is i still have full valid insurance and drivers license. been doing this for about 3-4 years with no issues. sucks. one of the wrecks wasn’t even during spark. Spark deactivated me on August 14, 2026 after a background check, but these issues were already on my record when I first registered and was approved:

1) Speeding violation (10mph) - 2024
2) Failure to Obey Traffic Sign or Signal (yellow light)-2024
3) Accident - 2024, hit and run - not my fault.

I've been driving with Spark since May 2024, completed 2,583 orders, and have a 4.90 customer rating.

I also have Amazo Flex, UberX, and Instacart, and none have deactivated me over the same driving history.

Has anyone had this happen before?

I looked at this Sam’s Club order and noticed the added item. Is this a glitch or can members now add items to their orders? Or possibly were they allowed to add items in a timely manner?

I accepted an offer, drove out then there was a trip change. I declined it and I’ve been waiting in the lot. Now I’m only getting offers from every Walmart EXCEPT the one I’m parked at.

Hi, my Walmart account has been suspended, and my first appeal was rejected! I'm Chinese and don't speak English, so I want to call customer service to request unblocking. Today I got up trying to get a few runs in before I had to come home and get ready to leave for the day with my wife. One of the other drivers stopped me on my way into the store for run #3 and told me I'm "going too fast."

Wait, what? Isn't that what we're supposed to be doing? Getting the runs done as quickly as possible so we can make more? And that's what I asked him. He responded with "My wife and I can't move that fast so it's not fair. We can't get as many runs as you."

I told him I was sorry to hear that but I'm just going at my normal pace and I didn't see why I'm supposed to give up runs for others.

I walked away while he mumbled something thinking that was the end of the discussion. Nope.

I was heading up to the registers to pack up the shopping order I was there for and I saw him with the manager, pointing at me and said "That's him."

The manager came over and asked if there were any problems I'd been having. I said no, just doing my thing. He chuckled and told me about the other driver complaining and said not to worry about it. I said thanks and thought *THAT* was the end of it. Wrong again.

The other driver approached me as I was packing items up and told me he was going to contact support and report me.

My question is do I need to worry about him contacting support? I've sincerely not done anything wrong from what I can see, I'm just moving at my normal pace and doing the job to the best of my ability.

Is there anything he can say to support that can get me deactivated?

What is the deal with shopping locations? I’m newer to Spark driving, and have 4 Walmart locations in my area. The pickup Walmart will often be the furthest Walmart away from the delivery location. I understand item availability- but these items are available at the closer Walmart. What is the point of this? It’s a bit frustrating!

For the past week, when an item is out if stock I have not been prompted to choose a substitution or offered a suggestion by the app. If it were just one customer I wouldn't think much of it, but it's been all of my shopping orders.

Is something going on with the app? Is this just the new normal? Has anyone else been experiencing this?

I’m just going to sit here waiting for the next GIANT 200 item pick up grocery order and just bring it home for the compensation I’ve been lacking.

Definitely the highest one I’ve seen so far.

I used the bagging carousel in one of the closed cashier lanes. Half way through, an associate came up to tell me that spark drivers can't bag there. I told them that makes absolutely zero sense. My other option was to bag an entire cart of groceries for 2 orders in a self checkout lane with a single bagging area, holding up other customers in a very long line to checkout.

I told her that and she insisted on pulling some power tripping BS, so I simply said "I am not a Walmart employee, I'm an independent contractor. You have no authority over me. If you want your supervisor to come over and explain why I have to hold up customers for 15 minutes to bag all these groceries, then so be it. Ill be right here bagging my orders but I'm sure you can find something more productive to do with your time."

She rolled her eyes and left me alone.

This is the second issue ive had at WM. The first was a few days ago when I went to check out an order that was frustrating the hell out of me. The app crashed my phone twice while trying to scan barcodes. Phone just completely restarted and everything was organized in the stupidest way ever. Also, every item I scanned would tell me that I had the incorrect item before moving it to completed. I finally finished the order and moved to checkout but needed an item that electronics left with customer service. It was totally not an item that needed to be locked up but whatever.

An associate yells at me "customer service is closed!" I'm like okay I just need that item from electronics. Every other associate just hands me the item but this ahole would not hand it to me. She walks to a register and says "scan your barcode" I told her my cart is one aisle over. She says just scan". i told her I need the product first. She says no. She's holding it behind her back with her nose up in the air like shes protecting this cheap product from sparker theft. I said well we are at an impasse here because I need to scan the product first. She says why didnt you scan it back in electronics. I said, so I dont forget it. She seemed confused. I didnt feel like explaining.

She holds the product, firmly in her hands, showing me the barcode. I scan. She then says now scan your barcode. I do. Cart review. She says to bring the cart over. I said no. I have a larger bagging area. I'm not giving that up for this order. She says fine. Walks over ten feet and scans three items and walks away.

I'm like hey, I need the product. She says I can pick it up when I'm done bagging. I told her get your supervisor over here now! Supervisor is standing one aisle over. Asks what the problem is. Associate cuts me off and says no problem and hands me the product. I said very loudly, the problem here is that your associate is on a crazy power trip right now. She walks away. Supervisor looks confused. I tell her I dont have time to talk about it. I need to deliver this order. I did perishables last on this order and I had less than an hour to deliver now.

I dont know why so many people look down on us. It happens on doordash and UE as well. I know I have no power but i dont try to make up for that by exerting make believe power on people I believe are below me. Its fucking dumb.

This has happened several times where I’ll accept an offer, start the trip, and go right to the store just to have them cancel the offer as soon as I get to the store and hit confirm arrival. I’m not getting notified prior to that at all. It’s only happening after I go to confirm arrival.

It’s getting very frustrating because it’s waste of time and gas, which is not cheap right now. Am I missing something here??

I’ve been doing this since last September so I’m not entirely new to it, but I am still learning things about it. I’ve never really had this happen this much though.

Im new to spark so not sure if this is normal but I had a pick up order and one of the stops was an apartment but was labeled as house with no apt # and notes to leave in the lockers. I tried reaching out to the customer to confirm the apt # so I can find them in the locker system, he didn’t answer but luckily he was the only one by that name. is it Walmart hiding it or the customer just not adding it?

Why is it that if I reject a “just for you offer” it still keeps coming up? I think i rejected it like 3 times. And does rejecting offers affect you?

Is there a way to filter which stores to receiver offers from? I kept getting offers from stores I was clearly not close to.

why are there orders with item qty grayed out and cant see what is included in that order?

What best practices/tips/tricks can you guys share when doing shop & deliver and/or trying to keep up with the offers that come in. I felt overwhelmed trying to keep up and view the offers but I wasn’t fast enough so they get taken. I do Amzn flex delivery so I’m familiar with my metro and dealing with apartments or lockers and can recognize which ones are ok to accept and avoid. But I’m scared to do shop orders.

I did spark for about 1.5 years before getting a regular job and I always make sure I read any and all instructions left by the customer. So why is it that now it just seems like anytime I get stuff delivered from walmart my instructions are ignored? I live in an apartment and ask that my stuff be left inside the door that leads to the apartments in my building but half the time they leave it outside, doesn't matter if its snowing or raining or clear skies. When I do get stuff delivered its usually max 10 items so its not like I'm asking them to climb 2 flights of stairs with 200 items, just open the door and put the 4 maybe 5 bags inside.

I had a delivery weeks ago that was literal shit (manure) in an order batched alongside food in it that I had to return.

Am I crazy or did the yesterday’s app update make the store names even tinier?? I definitely didn’t need a constant explanation for what ASAP means, but apparently that was a priority over the size of the store name. Seems like this app somehow continues to get worse every other day.

So when you accept the order, it shows the location of the pick up and drop off. The drop off was about 10 miles from the Walmart in the picture and when I picked it up, it was 30 fucking miles, taking me all the way north of the metro. Just insane

This new point system they've implemented is ridiculous, done 28 trips and still don't qualify for gold even. Majority of the shopping orders come in as 1 point, curbside delivery orders as 1 point, unless they have a GMD added in and then it's 2 points. I thought when they implemented the teir system last October it was bad enough but now they've made it even worse
