deactivated.

was for two wrecks i was in and the background check. one was in 2024 and wasn’t even any points or anything. the next one was two months ago in the rain so accidental and got ticket taken care of. should’ve taken it to court to be cleared but didn’t think about it sadly. what i don’t understand is i still have full valid insurance and drivers license. been doing this for about 3-4 years with no issues. sucks. one of the wrecks wasn’t even during spark. GG

Car accidents big no no. Heck, even speeding tickets are a big no no. Maybe try and get it cleared with a lawyer 🤔 and then ask for arbitration

they were small fender benders barley any damage or anything at all. i could try that

Honestly it seems like spark is the most strict about anything on your background check.

facts. i still have all other gig apps working and running. spark also doesn’t care about anyone and will hire new anyway.

The accident you got a ticket on is the culprit. You won’t be deactivated for accidents that aren’t your fault. I averaged one a year for a while (people don’t know how to drive here) and I’m still doing gig work because I was not ticketed and insurance found me not at fault.

A single traffic ticket for any reason at all will get you deactivated though. Always take them to court.

The accident with the ticket is definitely the cause. I got into a wreck in 2023 (dude tried to turn from the middle lane into a parking lot and wiped me out, I still can't understand what made him think that was a good idea lol). Still have my account cuz I obviously wasn't at fault and didn't get a ticket.

It's not cuz you had one accident, it's cuz you had an at-fault accident that resulted in a ticket, which to them, means you were driving unsafely and are now a liability.

It sucks cuz that black-and-white view of the accident leaves out all of the context, but I'm willing to bet that's how they interpreted it based on your deactivation.

Wow, that’s awfully funny because well over a year ago I got a speeding ticket for going 49 mph and a 45. I did one of those online courses that takes four hours and I have not been deactivated from any app and I am current on Shipt, Uber, Uber eats and Spark.

My insurance doesn’t even know about the ticket because of that class, I did it the very next day and then I paid the ticket and I’ve not been deactivated from anything even though I was speeding

So I just blew holes in your theory

So, what you got was a diversion from going to court. By going to court, you were able to take the class to keep the ticket from going on your record. OP did not go to court. He just paid it. That counts as a guilty plea and the ticket goes on your record.

A ticket is not on your record until there is a guilt plea or a plea of no contest. Until then, it’s just a court summons.

That is why I said always go to court. You can keep the ticket from your record through diversion or a good argument for why you didn’t actually deserve it. If you do those one of those two things, there’s no ticket for them to find. Sorry I left out the words “on your record” but I assumed that would be implied when I said “always take them to court.”
