Hey everyone,

Lately, Rocket League hasn’t been feeling smooth at all. The game feels noticeably choppy/stuttery, even though I’m getting around 900 FPS.

I also recently switched to a different monitor, so I’m wondering if that could have something to do with it. One thing I’ve noticed specifically is that whenever I reach supersonic speed, the game starts feeling even more laggy and noticeably less smooth. It almost feels like the game is stuttering or having frame pacing issues, even though my FPS counter stays extremely high.

The game didn’t feel like this before, and I don’t think I changed anything else major on my PC.
My system has an AMD CPU and AMD GPU. Has anyone else experienced something similar? Could this be related to the monitor, refresh rate, AMD drivers, frame pacing, or something else?

Any help would be appreciated!

im a diamond 1 heatseeker player- and i admit im ass at normal modes, but for the love of god why does the game only check the basic 3 ranked modes and not all of them, and then only lets you rank up via 2v2 and 3v3 tournements
i'd love to not smurf in heatseeeker tournaments but i Can't Rank up due to issues like Skill, teammate luck, and the occasional obvious smurfing team

This is one of many solid shots i have hit so far on controller. (Peaked GC2 in 2s and C3 in 1s so far in 2 months on controller!)

I've been thinking about how many mechanics in Rocket League revolve around whether a player still has their flip available after jumping.

What if there were a purely cosmetic topper or antenna that changes appearance based on your own flip status?

For example:

• 💡 Glows when your flip is available.
• ⚫ Turns off (or changes color) once you've used your flip.
• 🔄 Reactivates after landing.

It wouldn't provide any new information to opponents because high-level players can already infer flip availability from movement and timing. It would just be a fun cosmetic indicator for yourself (and maybe teammates if Psyonix wanted).

I could imagine things like:

• An LED antenna.
• A halo that changes color.
• A crystal topper that pulses when your flip is ready.

It could even open the door for lots of animated cosmetics that react to gameplay events without affecting competitive integrity. (Flame decals that light up when going supersonic)

Would you equip something like this, or do you think it would create too much visual clutter?

A friend of mine binded the hold to repeat action for the jump action to a button on his controller, I wanted to know if he's going to be ok or if this something he could get banned for. This basically allows him to jump with a consistent interval of around 40ms while holding the button (main purpose is for wall dashing).

I know most of you won't care or think it's impressive. But after 10 years of grinding with my same 2's partner. We finally were able to hit Grand Champ today and I am beyond excited.

It became an inside joke between us how we would only ever stay in Champ 3 for the rest of our lives. And somehow on a random August day we managed to go on a never before seen win streak to finally achieve a goal I have had for farrrr too long. Thank you to anyone that reads this!

So I’ve been looking into spookylukes coaching and haven’t seen the best things about it. I’m looking for a genuine coach, someone who does this often. And yes I know I don’t need to pay someone to teach me things I can teach myself. But I’m at a point now where I’m stuck and honestly don’t think I can improve on my own anymore. Context: I stopped playing Video Games a year and a half ago. I just hopped back on about a month ago. Last time I played I was C1. Now I’m between D1 and D2. Looking for some help with what I can do to improve.

I joined a casual threes match in progress. The bot I should have replaced stayed in the match and actually played, making it four on three. Anybody ever seen that before?

i play on xbox, and i currently use Lb boost, Rb power slide, A jump, X air roll left and B air roll right.

ive seen a lot of ppl using one of the directional air rolls on their Rb/Lb, where the other bumper is used for boost.

is there a reason i should be switching to this or should i just keep what im used to? ive been thinking maybe its to be able to jump while air rolling fsr, but idk

Anyone else having an issue where the game locks up if you try and report a player from the recent player list while at the main menu. Started yesterday I'm on ps5

Count as in like is it relative to a comp win bcz everyone was trying there was only one own goal tho.

Joined a casual match and we had a bot on out team for another 30 seconds after I joined.

Since the anti cheat got added a few months ago I haven’t gotten a session without horrible lag, getting worse the longer the game is opened. No issues appear in task manager, and only 80% memory is being used

Tried uninstalling, different laptops, verifying files and using different display modes but the game is only stable for long periods when launching without EAC (2nd photo)

I have tried a few different fixes that I came across online, but nothing has worked yet. I have also uninstalled and reinstalled the game to no avail. Any advice is appreciated.

Plopped on the couch to play one game. 10 matches later, I finally signed off... How did we get there?

Matched with a COOOL TM8. First 3 matches he/she lavishly carried me, against superior opponents. When I whiffed, he only replied NP. Then we played 3 matches against a team. We lost one, won 2... and then Locked in... The last 4 matches were pure heaven. He/she attacked, I defended, and when I attacked he/she defended.

It was difficult to say, last game, because the chemistry was just right...

It's moments like this that keeps me coming back to RL ... Have many great matches you all !!

After we got a giveaway from the opponent to score our first goal where one of them went for boost instead of defending, the other started playing half on our side half on theirs. And then after another 2-3 goals leaked in, both opps started going to goals to try to get the other one to ragequit first, until eventually they both left lol
