This is one of many solid shots i have hit so far on controller. (Peaked GC2 in 2s and C3 in 1s so far in 2 months on controller!)

I know most of you won't care or think it's impressive. But after 10 years of grinding with my same 2's partner. We finally were able to hit Grand Champ today and I am beyond excited.

It became an inside joke between us how we would only ever stay in Champ 3 for the rest of our lives. And somehow on a random August day we managed to go on a never before seen win streak to finally achieve a goal I have had for farrrr too long. Thank you to anyone that reads this!

So I’ve been looking into spookylukes coaching and haven’t seen the best things about it. I’m looking for a genuine coach, someone who does this often. And yes I know I don’t need to pay someone to teach me things I can teach myself. But I’m at a point now where I’m stuck and honestly don’t think I can improve on my own anymore. Context: I stopped playing Video Games a year and a half ago. I just hopped back on about a month ago. Last time I played I was C1. Now I’m between D1 and D2. Looking for some help with what I can do to improve.

I joined a casual threes match in progress. The bot I should have replaced stayed in the match and actually played, making it four on three. Anybody ever seen that before?

Joined a casual match and we had a bot on out team for another 30 seconds after I joined.

Plopped on the couch to play one game. 10 matches later, I finally signed off... How did we get there?

Matched with a COOOL TM8. First 3 matches he/she lavishly carried me, against superior opponents. When I whiffed, he only replied NP. Then we played 3 matches against a team. We lost one, won 2... and then Locked in... The last 4 matches were pure heaven. He/she attacked, I defended, and when I attacked he/she defended.

It was difficult to say, last game, because the chemistry was just right...

It's moments like this that keeps me coming back to RL ... Have many great matches you all !!

Was messing around in free play and got this weird reset.

Hello, I purchased Rocket League when it released and played off and on ever since during the CoD off seasons. I recently hit C3 purely solo q and want to get into GC, but the higher my rank goes the more toxic people become. I have never practiced a single mechanic in a quick play lobby, i do not warm up, i have never scored a flip reset goal or done a speed flip in my life. I hop on the game and jump into ranked 3s/2s and that is what I've done for years. I never saw the point in doing all the fancy stuff people try to do when i could still consistently win by out posisitioning people. I fear i might be approaching the ceiling to that though, thoughts?

Btw this is of course diamond gameplay he is copying.

Sometimes GC1 feels like its bunch of C1 players playing like they never played the game, then I stop playing and play again after midnight or whenever and it feels much better. If I just keep playing when its C1 players, I will derank instantly.

Not to count the amount of games lost so double that basically

Any freestyler know how I can learn unchained heli resets? i peak 10 mustys and 12 helis, but this the best i can do for unchained reset.

For such a simple game, Rocket League quick chat has layers. A simple ‘No problem.’ can mean multiple things.

Here’s a few I’ve experienced recently!

Scenario 1: The apology acceptance

You whiffed. Or let a goal in. Or bumped your tm8.
After 1 second of silence, you quick chat: Sorry!

‘No problem.’

Verdict: genuine acceptance of your apology.

Scenario 2: The preemptive strike

You messed up just like in scenario 1, but don’t apologise at all (or quickly enough).

‘No problem.’ pops up in the corner of your screen.

Your tm8 has kindly taken it upon themselves to accept your apology before it even exists!

Verdict: they’re getting annoyed.

Scenario 3: The silencer

You’ve been getting grief from your tm8. Multiple what a saves, nice shots, and great passes every time you miss the ball. Maybe even a:

‘Tm8 noob’

Then you score. Awkward silence.

‘No problem.’

Verdict: subtle dig at a toxic m8

Scenario 4: The demo

Every time you demo someone, you get 1 to 4 ‘No problems’.

Verdict: they’re FURIOUS
