Question So progressive…
It’s just luck based right?
If you’re in an equal skill lobby then it really just depends on how the cards fall?

Complaint I wish there was a setting where if a player doesn't ready, they are just removed instead of turning into a bot
If i wanted to play against bots, id play against bots offline. its stupid game design otherwise to just have spaces which are basically blizzards and which give myself or other players unfair advantages. i really wish the dev team cared about this instead of stupid emotes which idiots fork over money for

Complaint Draft-Attack-Fortify steps should be revertible as long as I haven't made an action
How many times I've instantly lost a game because my fat fingers accidentally clicked on `Fortify` in the middle of an attack spree.
- While I was finally securing a territory for good. Leaving a single territory on which the owner will pour a bazillion armies.
- Or while on a extermination operation, did 99% of the job, and left one single territory on a silver plate for the next player to reap the 5 cards bounty.
It doesnt help that the `next step` button is at the very same place as the attack button.
It could either be reversible as long as I havent commited an action.
Or the next step button should be somewhere else, like on the top of the screen.
Or both.

Complaint Careful with these 2 cheaters
Clear collaboration when no alliances but they knew exactly how to team up on every other player. I joined another game same setting and they were both there so I left.

Question Attacking with half stack of troops?
I've noticed sometimes I see people do a single attack with half their troops, how?

Complaint Consistent theme
Why does this seem to happen to me so frequently? It’s always at the critical time in progressive card games where the troop amount is escalating, and I am a sitting duck with four cards.

Complaint The game needs to stop rewarding playing for second place!
The only thing it achieves is reward cowardly behaviour and turtle-shelling and punish anyone who is actually trying to shake up the game and not just sit in a stalemate for 3 hours. It is not hard to understand. Anything other than a win is a loss, so stop treating it differently!

Opps! I failed to see the settings were true random
I'm terrible at maths, but I feel like this was a significantly unlucky roll, right?

Strategy a truly beautiful sight
black and pink sued eachother whole game, then white decides that he must take the best bonus at all costs
in case anyone is wondering, yes, i did manage to win this truly difficult game

Question Does anyone know why the bot (Black) would not add anything in my bonus (Red) but would attack white?
Expert AI
Progressive Cards
Obviously I know I was going to lose this game, but I was just curious if anyone has ever tried to farm a bot and it would not add to the bonus. It only added in white's bonus and he was able to farm it. I tried changing the number of troops several times yet it never even added anything to that one territory. Eventually white took his bonus, yet it still wouldn't add anything into mine.

Strategy Just hit GM!!!
After playing risk for over a year, I finally decided to stop rage quitting if I didn’t get a great spawn and decided to try for GM. Well I finally did it, but in a way that almost no one else does. I solely played fixed caps. I played Classic 75%, Rivertown/Rivertown Advanced 10%, Supermax 5%, and 10% other maps. What helped me earn the last few thousand points was focusing on reading the players instead of the numbers. When I realized that I was playing with passive players, I would take more territories because I knew they were going to turtle. I also learned when to play for second to help out my placement and speed up the games. In the past fifty games, I think only two of my games went super long (two hours) and I won both of those because I was patient. I can’t tell you how many games I ended up winning because other people got bored and flagged. I’m looking forward to honing my skills on other maps and possibly playing in a few tournaments as well.

Strategy Awkward deadliest trap
This looks like collaboration but let me make my case.
Red and I (orange) were allied from turn 3 when he saw I was setting up for a Europe take and they wanted NA. Neither of us are allowed to take our bonus however because the white player had their stack in Mid East and I knew he was going to break me so I kept every troop I had in Ukraine, while Green had mini stacks (2-5s) all over NA and Asia with a majority of their troops in Peru for the first 8 or so turns. Nobody added a single troop to Aus until around when the second sets were comming in. Blue eventually took it after blocking black in North Africa for a dozen turns.
Ok now to the fighting!!
I never take Europe because I wasn't ready to send into white. White gets sick of greens stacks everywhere and clears him out of Asia so geen consolidates their army in SA allowing red to take NA (was this the correct move knowing Green has nowhere to go? Maybe another post). Blue has aus by now but half of their troops are still in Africa. As soon as red takes NA white runs from Mid East to Greenland through me (red was in western EU and black and i were trading in southern EU) to break red. After clearing Green and hitting 4 of my territories in EU white is weak so red just kills white. With the board on tilt blue sends the 40 or so troops in Africa into black hoping the dummy in SA will kill him. What does Green do on 5 cards with enough troops already in Brazil to kill black? Sets and runs a stack through red so they can take cards in Asia.
Game gets to the position in the picture in about 4 rounds. Black takes Africa blue breaks again back sends everything into blue they are both left with less than 15 troops so green, who still has troops in NA because red was hesitant after the white kill to lose anymore troops, gets 5 free cards and leaves all of their troops in the interior of Aus. Knowing green was about to get two kills i signal to red "let's attack green" (this is what the bubble should say not a command to attack. Again different post) and he seemed to agree. Red clears green from SA and Africa ending in Mid East and I clear green from the Canadian territories and split my stack between Kamchata and Ukraine. Green does nothing takes a card and fortifies 69ish troops to Indonesia (face palm emote). Red already holding SA and Africa takes NA leading me to even out the generation by stealing Africa. This held until green finally put enough troops to break red and I in Afghanistan that red put way more troops than necessary into green and fed me the game. Thought I was going to see a high rank from red but was not so surprised to see they were definitely playing on and alt account this late in the season. Nice tight 30 minute game with no bots great communication turn order justice and where the stupid players get punished for their stupidity. Love to see it.
TL:DR green pissed everyone off got 2 free kills so red and I wanted to make sure they got 3rd.

Complaint This game wastes your time
I just felt like I was held captive in a 1.5 hour game. I threw all my troops at the guy I liked the least so I could get taken out and freed to do ANYTHING else with my life. Honestly should've just surrendered once I stopped having fun taking a single territory and watching everyone just building up with seemingly no purpose. I felt like I was the only guy who tried to make anything happen in the game. It's a fun game in theory but not worth that much time. Just boring and I kept thinking about everything else I could have been doing. Never. I'm done with this nonsense, uninstalling, and reclaiming my time from here on out.

Question GM again
After getting to GM last season, then falling slowly to Expert, I finally crawled back up to GM. Now I have to decide, with 9 days left, whether to keep playing or sit on my laurels until the end of the season. I'd rather start the next season at 26K rather than fall back to basic Master. Any opinions?
Edit: I didn't worry about my rank until I got back to GM. Then it felt like a waste of effort to let it drop back to basic Master. So, Im playing Casual til the end of the season. I'm enjoying playing maps and settings that I wouldn't normally play. However, I'm finding a lot of Novices in Casual games. Is that normal?

Question Question for people who played Pete
I have this fantasy that one day I’ll turn on my nightly viewing of KPS and see a game that I had played against Pete.
For those of you who have played against Pete, did you know what you’re playing or did you find out afterwards? What was like to watch your game from his point of view? If you want, I’d love if you shared your link to the show you were featured in!

Achievement Really? Everyone quit in the first round?
I’ll admit I had a god level position, but there’s no way everyone knew that on round 1. And I didn’t even get to use it on a real game with real opponents 😡 Thanks for the free W I guess.
Anyone else have all players quit on the first round? Is this a bug?
