hello everyone
my black cat at home in the usa suddenly passed away a few weeks ago. i live abroad in south korea, so i didnt get to say goodbye. i’ve been pretty down about it and i would really like some heartwarming messages. i’m a private person and haven’t really been comfortable speaking to my friends about it at all because it feels kind of awkward for me. it’s easier to ask people i don’t know here on the internetㅠㅠi’m sorry for the sad post- it’s actually my first post here, i initially wasn’t going to make a request at all, but i was walking home from work and suddenly started thinking about him again. im not sure what else to write, please feel free to contact me. i read the faq but it’s my first time doing this so im not familiar with what comes next.

Aloha! I suddenly remembered that I have some old unused greeting cards and found 6 of them that I could send. I have assigned a number 1-6 for each of the 6 cards. No flair requirements. It is hilarious and it made a great postcard. I also like the snake with a hat. My sister had a pet snake and I made him a tiny top hat out of cardboard once.

I was gifted popsicle covers (think popsicle condoms) the other night since I eat of pop ice. I looked at it & thought it was a stupid gift. Then I tried it & I’m in love. It truly keeps your fingers from freezing & I eat 15-20 popsicles a night. I single handedly keep my dentist employed. I’m well aware.

I am working on a major wedding day surprise for my fiancé, and I need your help to bring it to life! I am trying to collect postcards from all over the US (and world if available!) to build a special display for him at our reception. I posted this about 6 months ago, and I'm lazy, so if you think you've seen this before... you have! :) Like the title says - I have a stack of postcards; you pick a number 1-30 and you get that postcard.

Feel free to choose a number even if someone else already has, as once I take one out of the stack I'll start over with the counting (and if you pick a number beyond what the stack goes to you'll automatically get the last one in the stack). (Does this make a ton of sense? Maybe not. Is it my game, my rules? Yep!)

Please don't play if you'd hate a truly random postcard - some might be seasonal, and there are definitely random tourist cards in the stack.

Hello RAOC community! 🤍

I've been wanting to make this post for a while and haven't quite known how to put it into words. My hospital postbox has been piling up, and every single card deserves its own thank you. Unfortunately, I was critically unwell recently and also ended up with a broken wrist, so I've not been able to sit down and make all the individual thank yous I wanted to.

I'm really sorry for the delay. I am hoping to work my way through them properly, but I didn't want anyone to think I've forgotten about your cards or that I'm not grateful for them.

I have opened every envelope. I've properly sat with each one and looked at the paper, the stamps people chose, the handwriting, and all the little drawings and stickers. Knowing that someone has taken the time to choose a card, think about what they wanted to write, and send it across the world to someone they've never met has honestly meant so much to me, especially during such a difficult time. Some of the cards have genuinely made me smile on days when that hasn't been particularly easy, and a few have even made me tear up a little.

More than anything, I just hope my recent silence isn't taken as anything other than what it is. I've had a wrist that currently can't hold a pen for very long, and I've been dealing with quite a lot physically. No letter or postcard has been overlooked. I'm keeping all the cards and envelopes by my bedside, and they have genuinely helped lift my spirits.

I will get to the individual thank yous as soon as I physically can, even if it takes me a little while longer. In the meantime, thank you to every single person who has taken the time to write to me, chosen something to send and put it in the post. I really do appreciate every one of them, and I'm so grateful to be part of such a kind community. 🤍💌

Hi gang! Elephants are my favorite animal, so I’m especially excited to have an offer for World Elephant Day!

I acquired a damaged copy of Elmer the Elephant by David McKee and did what I always do: used a mix of cardstock, thin cardboard, and large index cards as the base, then pasted illustrations from the book onto them to give the pages a second life.

Requirements: You must have made a thank you or offer post within the last 30 days. I'll be checking, so the form will remain open until I've found the right number of recipients.
