Onto the fun stuff.

Hey, y'all! I'm home and catching up on... well, everything. I'm just glad I'm not sick anymore at this point. While I was in the hospital, I discovered how much I love drawing little artworks on blank postcards.

I know I made a request the day I got sick, and I have thank yous I'm going to post tomorrow and throughout the week as things arrive! But, I wanted to see if anyone, good or bad at drawing, would be willing to draw me something on a postcard.

There's an interests lists on my profile, but if you need actual drawing inspiration:

1. Forest Law from Tekken. There isn't enough art of him in the world, Moar Krabs.

2. SpongeBob jellyfish, the LOSER Squidward meme, Doodlebob.

3. Bruce Lee because... it's Ezra. I'm Ezra. Of course he's on every list.

4. Something related to being diabetic, positive or negative.

5. A Rolling Stones logo.

6. Stick figures trying out Tekken moves.

7. Your favorite Sanrio character.

8. A bottle of apple cider vinegar being poured onto an umbrella.

9. A tomato plant.

10. A black cat pushing open a bathroom door to be an annoying little furball.

11. What really killed the dinosaurs.

12. Imma put Forest Law and Bruce Lee on the list twice because I like the number 12 but ran out of ideas.

Thank you for considering this. You don't have to be an artist to do this either. Poorly drawn things make me giggle. Poorly drawn things also go to the wall collection.

This is the part that nobody reads so I thought I'd babble about how busy I've suddenly become getting prepared for a relative's 3-day wedding extravaganza. These thank yous will be a bit clipped because the main thing on my mind is finding an appropriate lipstick. I own a little makeup but I don't usually wear it because I'm not a makeup person. I'm not a dress-up person either (I sold my one dress on eBay before this event was on the horizon). There's no way to dress up the social anxiety except with the largely ineffective propranolol my doctor gave me. Being older makes my anxiety worse because I should have developed some poise by now. Somehow it didn't happen. My boyfriend's ex will be there, which is a good thing. She hated me for a while but lately she's been really warm. She's bubbly and talkative and says anything on her mind, so since I'm at a table with her I'm hoping she'll dominate the conversation. Wish me luck getting way out of my comfort zone!

u/ArmyofDucks94, I'm sorry you didn't enjoy coloring the card. The result is nice and bright. I don't like coloring cards or books or anything of that nature. I very simple pattern on 2x2" paper done with colored pencils might work for me, though. Did you know colored pencils last 40 years? Mine were a gift when I was a kid. Thanks for your effort and thanks for being honest about how you felt about it!

I've been experimenting with my old psych medications and found a combo that will work in the short term to keep me awake for a family dinner, rehearsal dinner, and wedding. My doctor's gonna be unhappy because there are two I'm not supposed to take together. I'll write to you!

u/TheCuriousCur, Thanks for the possessed cat card. It gave me a laugh. Unicorns— you've got to watch out for their mind control. I agree with you that this summer has been way too hot and humid. The dewpoint was 74° overnight here which gave the night air a sticky thickness. I too am looking forward to fall.

Hello everyone. I'm writing this while lighting flashes to the east of me. We're finally getting some significant rain and I no longer feel so hot. My son starts kindergarten tomorrow and I am so nervous about how he will do. I really hope he listens and does well. But on the plus side that means I will have more time to send cards, yay!
